Such ideas, and willingness to expose the hypocritical and unflattering images of the pure p/der's (scammers), are a threat to such people. One thing they can do is try and discredit the dev by sabotaging his coin and thereby trying to damage his credibility, although anyone can see two are unrelated and such vandalism merely reinforces the dev's idea regarding such people in the crypto scene.

Hence, the current situation.

Our community support can overcome this situation, and it seems the dev have already taken measures to guard against future 51% by working with exchanges.
Wise words.

Do you think that we, as a community, should be more audible in this environment? Should we stand in the first row, pointing fingers to the obvious and less obvious scams?

Or is it better to stay low, to avoid more attacks? (They have money, hence power to do a lot of damage.... but only until some point, I hope).

Should we talk loudly about the fact that NOBL was (is) the primary target for some entities or better stay quiet about this?

edit: that might be a good thing, it could help to clear the crap from the scene. as well as help to boost the activity amongst the ' legit ' coins. and since Rofo is listed, and out front with the regulation and tax thing, dragging everyone into the light could only help us ( the crypto community, and the Noble community especially)
THAT is the reason (I think) why lot of devs simply don't like us.
They DON'T want to show their faces and they DO want to launch new coins and scam the more naive part of ppl again and again and again.

Right now, crypto scene is completely unregulated and, in the minds of many, that translates to 'free'.

That's the same as saying 'Wild West was utopia because it was largely unregulated and therefore free'.

Yes, 'free' if you are roaming band of tribal bandits or cattle thieves. Same ones praising the 'open' nature of crypto and childishly deride the idea of regulations are often the first to lawyer up or go crying to the courts when some things like mt.gox happens.

Everyday there are those around who couldn't care less if the crypto is around a year from now - they just want their magical internet money to sprout even if it means using the blood of others, and swap it out for btc then to fiat.

Nation states, regulations, and structure are all the end result of natural progression in attempting to create an environment where vast majority of those willing to abide by common standards can benefit and progressively advance without having to constantly look over their shoulders and thereby distracting them from their main goal.

The real question is not 'rah rah rah fite da powa' (which is often just shallow outbursts of impotent frustrations due to their own lack of strength and personal qualities), but whether you have what it takes to take hold and control your course of action that you may come out on top within such an environment, and essentially letting your own perseverance and merits speak for themselves.

Such ideas, and willingness to expose the hypocritical and unflattering images of the pure p/der's (scammers), are a threat to such people. Expecting good things in the future for noble Smiley

it could only be like 20 people

That's fairly close to the number, especially if you use it lightly and apply it to 20 'groups'.

..maybe one of the Devs of just another coin Grin (I still hold a significant amount of RPC)

Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. Here's what we should do, get every single 'dev/founder/representative' of every coin to show their identify. Not just the spokesman, but original thread poster and key supporters. Wouldn't that be a treat. Wink

I will need a trailer truck load of popcorn for that show.

maybe not....

probably what he means :p some people are likely to have created tons of clones for pnd.

14 year old kids with school projects are also a good possibility.

could you just imagine the reaction in the crypto community, if we get every dev out and public, and there are a bunch of teenagers and fellons, that all these people invested in.... that would be a dark day in the crypto world.......

"it's a bad day in rock ridge"

NOBL is more or less disappointing, look at the Mintpal trading volume?!

Not everyone is concerned about super quick bucks in any way possible, some people believe in innovation, community and perseverence. Its the solid coins with honest and committed devs and community which will come out on top in the long run and not the latest flavour of the day being pumped on lies by some twitter noobs for quick £$!!
"Volatility makes good news, not a good investment."

edit: stole that quote from NPR's marketplace today ^_^

i am stil holding becouse i am a believer....

that some day il get my us dollar for a usde dollar, or........

perhaps its not needed anymore at that time : il buy everyhing with noblecoins ! ;-)

Ha, I am about having the same thoughts a few months ago when I got involved with RPC, people were saying they are going to hold RPC for at least two years. I keep mining, buying, ... and now I am wondering where is the Dev ...  maybe one of the Devs of just another coin Grin (I still hold a significant amount of RPC)

Active dev is the difference, that is why I trust NOBLE  Tongue

Yeah Rofo is always online for over 7 hours+ a day. It's been that way since NobleCoin's inception.

Unfortunately Poolerino is still broken and not giving any payouts or confirmed coins. Until Poolerino is fixed you should consider changing to another pool. I changed to Noble charity pool and have been recommending it to other miners. Charity pool increased by 130 Mhash in about 15 hours! Currently sitting at 260 Mhash total and payouts are working great.

I'm still mining Noblecoin, but only have around 5mhs.

Difficulty has dropped a fair bit lately, making it possible to stock up on Noble by mining again.

I now hold a lot of Noble and have sold very little since joining the community - I have been buying some recently as well (around 5-6million).

Am hoping that Noble will start moving around when the Marketplace discount is enough to tempt people to buy some Amazon vouchers - the only issue is that with the value of Noble so low, people are vary that a decent rise in Noble value would easily beat even a 30% discount on purchases...
So maybe we should keep 20% for a few days instead of 1 day? It's a nice, round number Wink
