EDIT: Also, the "30 mln" addresses in the Top Ten are mostly the "reserves" — cold stored funds from the premine (if this is somehow important to your research) — they are not owned by "normal" users Wink
The funds just lay there, waiting to be spent on development.

You can compare those addresses with our public ledger: https://www.noblemovement.com/public-ledger/

I've now tagged them, for instance if you go to 9amycGhuemdnmEwhUsQweQxoXo2tDbqXEH, it'll be tagged with "Noble Movement Reserve".

The tagging is unsigned since I manually added them.

Note that you can tag any address by registering at cryptoid.info and using the "sign message" feature of your wallet, this proves you have ownership of an address, and then you have control over the tag text and link.

Finally due to the way the protocol works, active reserve addresses aren't easily tracked in the explorer (like 9VFgi2dfifpZekh2JjGjBZkjWwJcSPgPgc), I'm working on a feature to allow more practical blockchain-based ledgers / money trails.

CharityMiningPools - Donate to Charity while you Mine!

nobl.charityminingpools.com - Updated Pool Interface

Come mine while making a difference.

All donations raised during the month of April will go to The Water Project.

February Donations to the BitGive Foundation: 42,964 NOBL

March Donations to The Water Project: 20,456 NOBL
(Waiting on them to add BTC Donation option to our Campaign Page at https://thewaterproject.org/community/profile/charityminingpools so that we can transfer the donations, request has been made)

STRATUM, VARDIFF, Datacenter Redundant Server Farm, Load Balanced Servers, Frequent Backups
0.5% Mandatory Donation fee to a Good Cause, 0.5% Pool Fees

Who Are We?
CharityMiningPools was created to allow miners the ability to mine coins while still knowing that their hashing power is going towards something good.  Our goal is to provide a positive and reliable service while delivering a small portion of the proceeds to a deserving recipient.  Plans are in the works to allow individual miners to choose where they would like to donate to based on a pool of available recipients.

How Does This Work?
All coins minded at CharityMiningPools will require a mandatory 0.5% Donation fee.  This donation fee will be collected and donated to the designated charitable recipient for that given month.  Though we only require a minimum 0.5% Donation fee, we welcome and encourage our miners to raise the stakes and donate more to a good cause.

Cheers!

It's very sad, that such Noble community doesn't mine on such noble pool Sad
(Miners: 0)

So, let me be first this time.
I just rented a rig much better than mine, so I can possibly get some full blocks.

Quote
February: We managed to raise 42,964 NOBL (9.56356 USD) for the BitGive Foundation!
Let's get those numbers higher for the Month of March!
All donations from the pool will be sent to The Water Project at the end of the month!

Please update info about March Wink How was the numbers?

Edit: Oh yeah, indeed I found 2 blocks during first 7 minutes, one of them is full, fat 5,000, and the other less (157 - dunno why, it was at the very beginning, maybe too little shares).
Oh Yeah I'm lucky! (and I rented only 2 MH)

Edit2: And it seems that every block has additional bonus of 50 NOBL.

Numbers were unfortunately down in March for the Noblecoin pool, but up sitewide by over 300%.  Smiley

We managed to raise only 20,456 NOBL in March which will be donated to our Water Coin Project Page as soon as they add the BTC donation button (request made last week and spoke to them again today to be reassured it would be added early next week).

Site Wide however, we did raise 0.34 BTC that went to the BitGive Foundation for the month of March.  That is up from our first month of 0.1 BTC.

I just started a thread on our subreddit on when/why you became interested in Noblecoin. Come tell your story! Smiley http://www.reddit.com/r/NobleCoin/comments/235cua/when_did_you_become_interested_in_noblecoin_and/
That was a great thread to create. I think it'll be great to see all of the different perspectives of how people got involved and drawn into Noblecoin.

I just finished posting to it! ^_^

I just send an email to https://mywl.lt/contact-us/ for adding us to the voting list. Maybe some other com.members could do the same.

Okay, but is it a reliable, proven online wallet?
Do we have any experience with them?

I have used them for digitalcoin for a long time now and never had any problems at all. If you want to talk to me or anyone else about it come into the #digitalcoin chat room on the freenode network and ill be more than happy to awnser any questions.

OK, the wallet looks fantastic, and I trust Digitalcoin community when they are saying it's secure.
Noblecoin has been added at the very moment, and received my first 5 votes:

So, if you think that another online wallet would be something good for us, vote:

https://mywl.lt/voting/

Edit for unconvinced:
Why should I use an online wallet?
Available anywhere - Access your coins from anywhere in the world, without needing to install software.
Always up to date - No need to keep your client up to date. MyWl.lt is always on the latest releases.
Instant payments - Send payments between users instantly without using the blockchain.

Yes I know we already have an online wallet - but this one is somehow "famous" as most secure etc. and getting there would mean something.

We're now also accepted on www.altaccept.com for merchants (better plugins and enhancements in development) and soon we will be on Prypto (just waiting on what needs to be finalized on my end but they've already touched base). The marketplace will end up being a reseller in Australia, letting us sell all their cards for NOBL. I may even hit the capital cities on the weekends to promote them face-to-face at the markets.

Great news, indeed.
I'm a supporter of that Prypto idea since I found out about them. I'm not sure if they are going to make cards with NobleCoins on them, but even with another altcoins it's still a good shot I think.

Just imagine all the possibilities in real world: a "crypto-card" can basically be and contain:
- a gift card (obvious)
- loyalty points (like on gas stations), then redeemed on awards
- votings (every card is a vote for example)
- tickets to a concert, festival etc. (you pay for a Ticket, okay, but after the party you can redeem the coins
- lotteries (only few of the cards are winners)

I'm myself thinking about becoming a "reseller" — for example I could sell ordered cards as "bricks" — to support local charity or foundation.
They will be priced 2x of the real coins value, but also a half of the fiat money collected could be used for awards...
Maybe I'll try to prepare some nice designs for such Noble cards (if they are in plans).

I think the first blockchain explorer on the NobleCoin website has this feature (it lists the addresses of the top 100 wallets and the amount of coins in each wallet).

Thanks for the links guys.

Don't fret about altoutlet.com any more at this point. Service providers and merchants aren't as simple as some people think, and can spot real communities, lasting coins that mean business and bot-spam from a mile away (if that is the case with some coins). A little birdie told me we are going to end up on there once voting is done Wink

I'm doing a research project on coin distribution for both older and new coins. I'm interested on gathering some data for top addresses and how much of the coins the top100 have. This along with the number of people (addresses) actually holding any amount of coins.

I have some info from bitinfocharts on a few coins but I really do need some data on other coins along with less exposed or new ones.

If anyone knows an explorer with this feature drop a line.

Yeah, especially that fancy "Rich List" tab Smiley
