PoS works great. My initial investment matured and I received my first shares back.

how this works ?

Goto the first page of this discussion board my internet colleague and view everything that Noirshares has to offer.

I am not a technical investor but what I do know is that your investment needs to mature in your wallet. My initial investment matured and after the 14th day I noticed my wallet had a mining symbol and shares were produced. Yes I did leave it opened.

Thank you Noirtalks for the update. I am testing both ports right now and even though my miner stats is not showing up correctly, I will leave my test miners active for another 24 hours. I do understand that with any new technology, there will be bugs to smooth out. Have a good day

test cryptocoin please ignore
NoirShares was added to my crypto-rating spreadsheet! Take a look:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tIQsCh9AIdkOEtJ30wBCICuph-35rAHeqDrPfuUVgw0/edit?usp=sharing
That is the worst made spreadsheet I have ever seen lol - I couldn't even read the comments on that absurd "Novelty/Clone" field because the spreadsheet could not scroll down properly to read it.

Based on your assessment it appears as though you don't have a clear understanding of what we are doing.  If you have any questions or suggestions on where we can be more clear, please feel free to let us know.

Anyone?

Delete this:

Thanks for the answers.

I downloaded again the 64 bit version of the wallet from the official page www.noirds.com (v0.1.3.0-g99999-Barwizi), I added at the config file the line from http://nrs.argakiig.us/bc_api.php?request=getpeerinfo

and deleted my old peers.dat (I deleted everything but not wallet.dat),  but nothing, wallet opens but remains "out of sync" and indicating "0 active conection(s)".

You could try backing up the wallet.dat and installing a fresh wallet, then drop the file back in. Also have you checked for the bad block?

I've already installed a fresh wallet.  How can I check for the bad block?

The instructions are on post 3 of this thread, if your still having trouble the DEV team checks here often and I'm sure they would be happy to help you out.

I have checked the blockchain (post 3) , no solution Sad     I want to start mining but I do not want to do it until I have the wallet.

Thanks. Finally I could solve it installing the wallet in another PC (PC2) and run it there. Chain blocks began to sync, then I closed the wallet. Then I copied the content of folder %appdata%/Noirshares from PC2 to folder %appdata%/Noirshares of PC1 (where the wallet did not work), I started the wallet and the sync was finished. Now it is working fine. I did not make a backup of file wallet.dat because I have not made transactions yet.

And so it begins! 88k for sale, 14 btc buys! How i wish i had 1% of total nrs coins ;( That is my mission, i do not think i will be able to do it though.

any chance of implementing X11 into pool btw ?

Definitely looking into adding additional algorithms.   Grin

Keep in mind what you're seeing is only the very beginning.  This isn't just a set it and forget it pool and we've got an awesome team we're working with.

The team and concept looks more than promising, I just hoped for x11 in multipool, its really hot this time of year round where I come from ^^

X-11 is certainly popular, but i think there is just slightly more demand for scrypt and sha, but i am sure it is in the works!

What would the difference be anyway? Between scrypt and x-11? Just the coins it mines for profit?

I like using X11 because my GPU rigs run much cooler and draw less power.  That makes the GPU cards last longer and I don't have to worry about heat so much during the summer.

As far as speed goes... sure X11 lets you hash faster than Scrypt... but it is all relative... everyone is hashing faster.  The big draw is the reduction on power usage and heat.  Would love to see more coins head for X11 and less for scrypt.

Awesome! Thanks for your informative reply!
