That tweet from May was 5 months ago.  A lot has happened since then, in particular the ban on EU cards being used outside of the EU.  If they said it a million times, when was the last time that they said it?

If you check the wirecard website:  https://www.wirecard.com/products/issuing/, you will notice that they are out of Germany, so even though they do white label cards, they would similarly be subject to the ban no?

Quote from above link: "As a German full service bank in the Wirecard Group, the Wirecard Bank issues credit cards in all 33 SEPA countries. We can therefore offer you cards and card acceptance from a single source.
Wirecard Card Solutions, which is also part of the Group, has an e-money licence and can therefore offer further options for the issuance of prepaid cards in the UK and the rest of Europe. We provide you with the right issuer based on your respective business model."

If Wirex is able to issue a global card, my guess could still be correct considering it shouldn't take 5 months to finalize a deal with wirecard. It is possible that the deal with wirecard fell through because of the ban and Monaco is working with Wirex now to use them as the issuing partner.

Last time Kris said it in Slack sometime in July, you are right, things might change.

In other news, check out their latest tweet:

(more details in slack)

This has to be big... but "developers update" doesn't sound very good.

After all what was being expected and awaited to happen that did already in Monaco price. Market bounced back good of 20% surges when most the people were thinking to exit and were keep on selling at that cheap. This token has been bought at lot high so it will keep upwards attempts timely. Waiting for right moments will make you good profit in this.

Hi folks...
Do you mean that tbey may go via Wirex? Is that realistic...wouldn't Monaco be a rival to wirex? What advantage does monaco have over wirex?

No matter whatever others say, I personally think that this time, the dev update is about VISA annc .
Either buy now for darn cheap price or buy later around $25~35 per coin

I agree on this point. It sounds like a big news coming on the October 18.

What big news could that be except a Visa deal? I think Kris managed to make a deal and It doesn't matter If it's a middle man or directly with Visa. It will give a big price pump in both scenarios.

We are going to see at least 100 % price pump in few days even if it is visa or not. Good luck to everyone.

Was reading about Wirex cards in light of the ban on Visa cards outside the EU.  According to their website, they are going to be able to issue global cards:

"Wirex has several card issuer relationships and we are now in our third and final month of integration with one issuer who will soon be ready to help us meet our growing customer demand."

"Our new enhanced offering for Wirex customers will commence in the next few weeks as integration is finalised. We are running final check processes now. Card orders are temporarily paused and pre-registration is now open for the new contactless payment card that will be available globally."

Could it be that MCO is the issuer they are talking about that they are integrating into their program?

I imagine if they are, then they must be working on the details since MCO has to honor their promises with their customers as far as the .75% and the interbank exchange rates.

If Kris is locked into an NDA he cannot discuss this deal with them and hence cannot update the community until the deal is done.

This is just my speculation and is not based on any insider info or anything.  I participated in the ICO, have since sold off 1/2 of my MCO holdings, which I may soon come to regret if the above turns out to be correct and the promises are kept.

They said a million times that their issuer will be wirecard. No need to guess.

Monaco was one of the most promising projects for long term investment. I'm loosing a part of my deposit due to dump but there's still some hope inside that it'll return it's actual value.

it is a miracle this coin is till over 7 usd really.
even after all the visa scam and the allegations made about the ceo.
i guess people who bought and 500k-600k sat are not accepting their loss and still holding for even the tinyest chance of recovery.
i actually feel for you.happened to me with other coins.but this coin never ever getting to those former prices like ever again.

LMAO! Seriously what is wrong with you FUDders?
Clearly you don't actually pay any attention to the progress of this project. The Visa thing is a done deal, they are simply in the middle of finalising stuff, they signed an non-disclosure agreement and they have said that the next dev update is likely going to be sometime between the 10th - 14th October.
If people like you are not interested in investing in this project then why are you here posting this weird extreme negative crap?
it's not enough to follow the project. need to read articles about the project. the team here is working very hard. such news comes out probably due to the pressure of the opponents. Bank news, it is hard to believe except for official announcements.

I know I am a new user and all. But I do own some MCO and I think once people actually have a company put cards in the hands of users it could be a massive game changer for this product.  One of these payment option will be the one to have.

Shittiest coin ever.  Price only falls and falls.  Devs make nothing.
I agree with you! it's not suitable to trade Sad

You guys need to join or slack or telegram to ask questions to the mods that got some info.

Altough it think BT is the place to be active.
personnaly I invest in ICO and sell all when it was high when they banned my slack account. I didn't insult them just said I'm not happy with their progress.. maybe it's better for me that they banned me... anyway I'm still waiting my black card and wish I can use it one day, if I receive it one day I can buyback MCO not before

stop all the fud.

There is fear about the coin future, uncertainty about the visa card, and doubts about the ceo.

Live with the fud: any attempt to forbid it makes it stronger.
