If you look at the amount of actual discussion going on the difference in community interest is very obvious.
Subscriber counts, etc. that's all shilled bullshit (on every coin). But actual content is harder to fake.
Some of the most interesting, useful, and practical technical discussion I've seen in the last year just happened on the main XMR thread, in an conversation about key generation/derivation/salting/stretching/entropy/security/etc.
Such an extremely high level of quality discourse speaks very well of the Monero Mustang community.
Meanwhile, back at the Evan's Gate cult compound, the DashHoles were designing soda machines that look like cigarette ashtrays and infringe on Coca-Cola trademarks.
