A bitmain cable from the apw3 can do 140-160 watts safely after that no good.

so if you run a 3070 clocked to 120 watts it should work.

same as a 3060ti clocked to 120 watts

Perfect.  As always thanks for the guidance Phil.

power color cards two rmas out of  30cards since 2012 . both were slow rmas

for the most part I like power color cards but I was not surprised they were slow to send me mine.

my card was fully dead no fans spun no detection nothing.

That's the same symptoms as mine.  No fans or video in the 3 systems I tried it on before starting the RMA process.

On another note.  I'm trying to reuse my Bitmain PSU for video cards.  I see a bunch of 6 pin to 6+2pin adapters but there are also 6 pin to dual 6+2 adapters.  Does anybody know if it's safe to use the dual 6+2 pin adapters on the bitmain PSUs?

Good luck to all entering the shuffle!

Zilch again for me.  This amount of rejection is bringing back memories of the dating scene when I was in high school.

I never bought any powercolor card, there's no warranty here in my country, it's a shame, because Powercolor have great cards, simple and cheap, but without warranty
At least you guys have some warranty. How many years? 1 or 2?

Here we prefer Galax, Gigabyte and Asus, all 3 years warranty.

Don't know if you guys already see this: https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/geforce-gtx-1080-ti-resurrected-from-the-dead.html

powercolor has 2 years in usa.

most cards in usa amd or nvidia are 3

some are 2

aorus has 4

evga lets you upgrade on any 3 year warranty to 5 years. for series 3000

I have 2x 3090's

I paid $30 and $30  they now have 5 year warranty which is a good deal for a 1800 usd item.  they are the only 2 I extended. I figure for 60 bucks they are good for the next 5 years.

the power color said they would email me when they got it.
they did not email me.
asrock did give me a recevied the card email.
once the arock arrived on day 12.
i emailed power color
they said they would be shipping me one.
they did ship it.
i think full turnaround was 26 days powercolor 5700xt vs 12 days asrock 5500xt.

both these cards were purchased at msrp.  the power color was the last 5700xt i got at msrp.

Ok I looked back at my emails.  I got my RMA early March.  They received my card on the 16th.  They also said in the RMA that they would contact me when they received my card and like you they did not contact me.  I emailed them on the 19th and they confirmed that they got my card and they have to process and test the card.  I have not heard back from them since.  I emailed them last Friday for an update but I have not heard back from them at all.  So I guess I'm over the 26 days it took you.  26 days at roughly $5 a day adds up.

Also I was not selected for the shuffle.

My rma powercolor 5700xt arrived today

I clocked it lower si nce I do not want it to break again.

Wainting on my 3070

How long was your whole process.  I had a Powercolor 5700xt go bad as well and they've had the card for over two weeks almost three now.  I emailed them and all they said was yes they got the card and they have to test it.  I guess they try to repair the card now since there's such a huge shortage of chips.

yeah just about the 3 hour mark.

did anyone win?

I got no word from them at all for the late night shuffle and I still haven't gotten a notice yet today so I'm guessing another nope.

I have had about 60-65

amd 5000
amd 6000
nvidia 3000 cards.

Two rmas since april 2020

an asrock 5500xt
the powercolor 5700xt

both were in the same two card case.

So i suspect a power surge killed them off.

the asrock and powercolor were shipped out to cali the same day

they arrived six days later.

the asrock 5500xt turned around really really fast 💨

under 12 days east coast to west cost back to east coast.

cards was in a nonstandard box. like an asrock mobo box.

works fine.

I was able to finally tweak my asus strix 6700xt to 107 watts down from 155 watts.  and raise hash from 43mh to 47 mh

Makes the card a little better than the 5600xt's but not as good as a 5700xt

Yeah if they come at the end of the notify time most likely you lost.

if they come in the first 2 hours of the notify time you have a chance.

6 to 12 east coast it the slot.

so we are 28 minutes into it.

I want the white gigabyte

I am still at 100% you were not selected emails!  The emails I get are always late and when I see people win the shuffle there's are are early.

Will see about today!  I'm feeling lucky!   Wink

This time I am only selecting the 3070's and the 3090 (the Philip method!)

(usually I click on all of the GPU's and have never been selected).

Yeah I do not pick every thing.

I did not pick any Amd cards.

I only picked 1 3060 the evga as I have an evga so why not have a pair.
I pick a few others the 3090 the 3070

there were 21 picks to be made I picked 8 of them.

oh my asus tuf 3070 from last weeks shuffle  came today.  doing 59 at 120 watts
