Thanks for your service. Another donation on the way....

We need some post with list of NXT projects in development / short description / link and addresses to support.
I have some NXT reserved to help but just don't know where to send them to make good use of it.
I give 5k NXT bounty to create such post. Text needs to be accepted by some trustworthy user here and placed on board by him.

I think this is a great idea! I'm working a lot on mynxt.info and I got Nxt donations from pouncer and bybitcoin (many thanks) for the 20 public nodes I setup as part of their bounties program but nothing so far for the blockchain explorer and alerts system I developed, and their bounties thread is now closed.

The nxt I got won't last much, I have a lot in the pipeline and a little support would go a long way.

Thank you!

I'm requesting from each client-dev banner at login page like: "To protect yourself from bruteforce, combine or generate 30+ char passphrase, u can use full Unicode table for that".

Optional link: http://unicode-table.com/en/

Do you really think that unicode is better than my password?

Unicode is not needed. What I really want is key files with pass-phrase like in SSH

well, if you look at original stakeholders who owned 1.000.000.000, 3 days ago they owned 139,681,005 Smiley

I dont think so, they only sent their money to different accounts, I would be surprised if they have less then 80% of their initial NXTs which they got for investition

I am thinking about upgrading RaspNXT to a full-fledged install script for all -nux systems. If this came to pass, installing on such systems should become really easy.

Deploying is already described in DSL here. Just transcript it if you want

You could put * as allowed IPs and connect by browser from an arbitrary host. Are there reasons against this in your case?

Also, are you using RaspNXT already? I know I'm slightly behind on updating Smiley, but it speeds up things a lot. An update to NXT 0.5.3 is soon to come.

Please feed us some info or pics on your Cubietruck when it's there. Basically, this could be the definite high-speed low-cost home NXT node hardware.

or this one:

octa-core. low load the a7 quad is working. high load the a15 quad kicks in.

this is really nice tech.

So unencrypted?

Seems like no built-in encryption.

New API requests added:

getAliasId
http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getAliasId&alias=alias
returns the id of the alias given alias name

getAccountBlockIds
http://localhost:/7874/nxt?requestType=getAccountBlockIds&account=account×tamp=timestamp
returns the blockIds generated by the account after timestamp

Excellent!

It would be great if a new API request to get confirmations count for a batch of transactions could be added:

Curious, where can you get one for under $100? And how hard would it be to set up a node on it?
The Chinese producer sells them for less than 100$. What you actually pay depends on your reseller. They want they profit and transport+taxes paid, of course. Here in Germany, resellers are offering in the 80€ range, including 19% VAT.

I think I'll get me one soon.

Setting up a node on an ARM system is quite easy. For the RPi, there's of course my RaspNXT project. If the Cubieboards are also a standard ARMv6 arch (which I haven't checked yet), it should run on them too as-is.

I am thinking about upgrading RaspNXT to a full-fledged install script for all -nux systems. If this came to pass, installing on such systems should become really easy.

I have ordered it last night and I will get it in hand tomorrow.

Presently I am running a Raspberry PI node, however, it's very slow, especially I need to VNC connection to launch the browser to unlock the account to forge. As some guy may know, some special characters including "(" can't be handled with curl to call the API in the linux console.

CT(cubietrunk) has 2G memory. It should be fast.

So I'm kind of a noob when it comes to this stuff...:

1) So I'm thinking about buying it from here (US based company): https://store.iotllc.com/product.php?productid=38&cat=0&featured=Y
2) I assume the 8gb flash memory won't be enough to run the OS (btw, what OS are you planning to use?) + NXT client, so how much space, ideally, should I look for? Is 64gb SD enough for OS + .nxt files? Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter-SDSDQU-064G-AFFP-/dp/B009QZH6JS/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1389348611&sr=1-2&keywords=sd+card

It would be nice to have a platform where I can leave my account unlocked without risk of keylogging (since I would keep only NXT files on the cubbie) and I can leave it on when I go on trips.

Good idea. I feel this is perfect hardware to have always-on for tasks like this.

The 8GB flash are in fact enough to run even fully loaded desktop Linux distros, e.g. Ubuntu. You'll only need to expand this at all if the NXT blockchain ever grows almost as large as the BTC chain. Smiley

boz 5.4.e realeased,so 5.3.0 is not compatible? or other problem?

As usual, remove *.nxt files and restart. Or replace them with the older version to speed up.
