What can we learn from Mastercoin Exchange? We need good marketing, otherwise nobody cares.

The conclusion is: Nxt is getting a little safer for people with weak passwords. And all the other guys get some nice features.

AFAIK you will be able to "lock" an account until it gets a transaction from a certain another account. You may lock your account for a certain period of time or you will be able to make transfers only at some time interval. (obv this is awesome )



p.s. Is Adam B Levine a "big" name in the crypto world? I haven't heard him until now but it seems he is quite famous?

+1.  It's bad enough when we talk about doing Secret Twitter in out blockchain.  Now it's Secret Internet.  I am afraid all of these ideas are like 1000 TPS - boy they sound good, but when you start digging into the engineering / math / numbers end of it to actually implement them, reality forces a hard landing to the soaring balloon of dreams.

I still think of all the unicorns and Bigfoots running around in the NXT forest waiting to be captured and corralled, we should focus on blockchain pruning, block speedup, true TF, and getting to 1000 TPS.  Why we are off chasing the other dozen cool ideas being batted around instead of focusing on THIS ONE is beyond me.  Maybe because it is 1.0 crypto-coin oriented instead of 2.0 crypto-financial-service oriented.  

I say again, WE ARE IGNORING THE CRYPTOCOIN 1.0 FOUNDATION OF NXT AND THIS IS A MISTAKE.  We should be systematically shaking the trees for vendors who will put NXT logos beside their "Bitcoin accepted here" logos (like I see Salsacz doing a few posts back!).  We should be working RELENTLESSLY on increasing TPS as a demo to the world.  IF we build 1000 TPS, they will come.

This relates to any new "ASSET CLASS" in the world....these are timeless.

What I learned in cryptos is 3 things:

1. Find something that is bringing some NEW VALUE
2. Buy as much as you can
3. HOLD!!!

I missed 2x 15-fold rises in value because I was too scarry to just HOLD...

There will always be exceptions, we are all different. Like you said, you bought it at $2 as well. I am sure that if you haven't and bought it just at $1000 you would have been at least a bit closer to bail out when it hit $450 two weeks ago. I am not saying that you would have bailed out but you would have been closer.  Human mind works like this and once again we all react different.

I will disagree. I bought bitcoins for $2 and $1000))) and still doing it. Look at gold price, stocks etc - the price is going up and down, it's normal especially for few months ago created cryptocurrencies)

Whoever bought BTC at $1200 is not in it anymore, believe me. He got scared, took a loss and got out of it.

You guys need to understand something. There are computer geeks in this community and there are enthusiasts, ordinary enthusiasts. You cannot tell an ordinary crypto enthusiast go and learn a python you will find a job easier! What a heck? This enthusiast already have a job and he doesn't need a python or other job.

Also these enthusiast probably bought NXT at 0.00008 and dropped $4000 when BTC was around $1000 in beginning of January for 50k NXT.

Honestly what is 50K NXT compared to most of you who got 300K+ here and many of you got all of this for $100-200.
If we paid $200 for 300K+ we wouldn't be worried, but since we already lost half of our investment and the price is still going down, of course we are worried. This is our hard earned money that we earned and invested and we have every right to be worried!

I know you will all go and say don't invest more than you can lose etc.. and all of this is OK, we are all grown ups and we take responsibility for our actions, but it is also important that you get out of your damn world and enter ours at least for a moment and understand us. Because in the long run, this project depends on us, the ordinary Joes that you have to have in your corner.

I am not being negative, I still hold my 50K that I took a loss at so far of 50% but it gets on my damn nerves, all the people that are looking a problem just from one point of view.
This is what I was talking about yesterday. We need balance in big whales dumping otherwise ordinary crypto enthusiast will get discouraged and get out. This is exactly what is going on.

And no we cannot go and learn python or learn coding, earn bounties and this and that, because we barely made a batch file to start a client-BUT YOU STILL NEED US!
