I'm staying out of the rest of the discussion for now, but will say that they work for Samsung and Vodafone, so they should at least be able to deliver.

However, just in case it's hot air (we are talking marketing people here ), this is exactly why I propose to give them the Nxt on completion.

First of all, a nice & complete branding is needed. Not just some random stuff you listed. When we have the branding, we can have banners/posters.

But keep in mind that nxt is decentralized. It would be just a resource for possible design rules.

Complete branding package? Yes, this is a bargain.

Their work so far is ok, but not more. We have great designers in this community, so don't just throw the money at this new guys and hope. But a complete branding package could be nice. We could give them a chance.

I vote for "30,000 Nxt", since I had a lot of time to think about that

What was in my mind to have:

- business cards
- logos, a lot of logos
- posters
- BANNERS, many different sizes, with more and less words, editable texts (for advertising at sites and magazines)
- billboard
- maybe some big pictures for our sites


Don't forget we have only nxt.org domain now.

People, next week on Sunday I am having a meeting with three designers and how they could contribute.

To reiterate: they have their own design company, and would like to help.
However, this will not be totally for free (at least, I don't want them to do it for free, I want them to be paid in Nxt, so they will be linked to Nxt and have incentive to keep adding value to it )

I want to try and pull the whole Nxt "image" together into one unified whole, so we can present this at conferences and all outward communication.
People will of course be free to not use it, but at this moment the amount of images and press material is all over the place. Let's make it easy for people to get it, so people can quickly set up press initiatives or conferences, even at a few hours notice, if needs be,

I would like:

- ideas about what the "image" of Nxt should be, in emotional terms: powerful, playful, happy etc.
- ideas about colours.
- input on what we need: stationary, business cards, sites, cars, planes
- promotional gifts?: USB cards, pens, pins?

I also would like to request 30,000 Nxt in funds to be able to give to them for delivery of these things (and others we might need). This is a normal fee for a complete corporate image and it would help enormously. This way I can dangle a carrot in front of them big time and we will have a team that we basically hire. I've negotiated that this would be a one time fee for these services if we can get that whole team to agree. After that, I expect them to be hooked and earn their way themselves.

Personally, I think this is a bargain. We would have a repository of material where we could point people to. We will make t-shirts and cards etc. We can also ship them to people who need them. By "we", I mean "me and these guys" at this moment.

Seeing as we don't have a committee yet (do we?) I would like to tally "ayes" and "nays" in here.

The funds would go in a separate account, so nothing would be sent to me personally by the way. That is a no-no. I'm the inbetween guy, not the receiver.

Hopefully, you all like this idea. If you want more info, ask, and I will get it to you.

Check videos on first page of this topic first. Provide a script, we have people who could deliver a voiceover. We have open bounty for such videos, but they must be nice and have perfect content, written with the real knowledge of Nxt.

I have a really good feeling about the NXT. There is just so many possibilities in it.

I kinda didn't like the video, because it didn't mention the real or the strongest reasons why Nxt is not a coin. Aliases are only a small feature, if we compare them to Nxt as a platform for building new currencies on top of it, for building Twitter, Facebook and all decentralized internet on top of Nxt. So information there weren't wrong, but we could say much more cool things about that PS: you have mentioned phrase "nextcoins" on your donation page

This is true.
As I say, there is as yet no centralised marketing plan.

I am plugging the testing as hard as I can in every article that I write and mention it (even if I have to shoehorn it in) on reddit answers, too.

At this point, I again come to the part where I say there isn't enough info to actually "promise" anything yet.

We see in the testing phase that some things that were put on the wiki (trading real world commodities) require much more work than previously thought.

So basically what I do is mention that this is a real possibility and that devs are working on it: preparing the ground without an ETA, but planting the idea.

I would think that this could be easily extended to a bigger strategy.

You can still plan marketing stuff for it.

Do we even know when it will be released? (short answer: no)

Is there a marketing plan for the release of the AE?

I have no problem with a spot of charity (as u guys may remember  ) but I am just not keen on SongsOfLove at all.

Over a month or 3, maybe we'll be sponsoring F1, but right now we still need to have tech-savvy users, not Joe Public.
