good to know that bitcoin linked address no longer get that much of gbyte in the 9th fullmoon lol

Reducing the distribution % from 20% to 10% will not stop the dumping after distribution imo , what byteball ball needs is more applications of the byteball infrastructure to make it mainstream, then the dumper would wish they didn't

dumping will reduce drastically with the new rules

1. the major dump comes from btc holders and not from byteball holders. this is because it doesnt make any sens for byteball holders to dump the price more than the 20% coins they got. their overall portfolio is then at a loss

2. btc holders airdrop has been reduced to 10% of what that used to be.

3. expect the next dump to be around 4-5% max

4. i would expect a considerable pump in a few days (maybe close to next airdrop) when btc holders start to collect byteballs to get some meaningful amount of coins.

Yes btc holders and portfolio managers may dump gbyte according to their investment plan and as well pick it up same way. the big money trade prospect per time, they dump to pick more up at the dip thereby increasing control on price, the airdrop somewhat mitigates that by incentivizing general public to consider byteball prospects and distribute price control.

the dump will stop, if new exchanges are added.

distribution rate of coin is more then +50% and growing, it should be easier to get listed on kraken or bitfinex

I think the airdrop is a great idea and I am very excited about the project. The funny thing is that traders probably do not know about the airdrop which effectively causes a -20% drop when it happens which is not a real drop if you own byteball already but they panic dump  Grin

I assume that the price of Byteball might drop down to 250usd before recovering. I am buying a bit everyday now. lets see how the new distribution works out. I assume that 70% of the people still don't know about the change in distribution. so once they realize they get almost nothing for their btc, they will start buying byteballs for the airdrop.

Thant's a good point. Many BTC holders are probably still unaware of the change in distribution. And it's surreal to see price falling when from now on the only (or better main) way to get Byteballs is to own some.

now its around 330usd. its cheap and the bitcoin is strong, so a good buy. i am paying 0.095 now, in july the price was 0.33. a whale will come and pump it up by 50%, but now its still dropping.

Airdrop over? I didn't get any BlackBytes... even though address is properly linked, proved by the fact that I've received bytes for my BTCs.

Neither did I.  Sad

BlackBytes distribution is still going. I just received my BlackBytes this morning.

Not according to tonych's post above. Here it is:

Distribution of bytes is complete.
160,424.226385661 GB distributed in this round ($56m at the current prices).
526,327.234762955 GB is the new available supply, which is 52.6% of the total supply.  Coinmarketcap is already updated.

Distribution of blackbytes will take roughly 3 days, I'll update you when it is finished.

Distribution of blackbytes is now finished too.

That would be correct, he makes this post on 10:07 am and I received my BlackByte @ 8:44am this morning.

Sorry if this has already been asked.
Bytes and blackbytes are two different currencies, right?
Then why do I need bytes to send blackbytes? Can't the fees be paid in blackbytes?
That's because blackbyte is a private asset built on top of it.

Distribution of blackbytes is now finished too.

As already announced, we'll now distribute bytes between rounds as cashback for purchases at participating merchants https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.20686283.

Distribution on top of existing balances in Bytes and BTC continues too.  The next round is on the Full Moon of September (September 6, 2017 at 07:02 UTC):
BTC to bytes: 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 6.25 MB (0.00625 GB)
BTC to blackbytes: 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 2.1111 * 6.25 million blackbytes (money supply of blackbytes is 2.1111 times more than that of bytes)
Bytes to bytes: 1 byte on any Byteball address gives you 0.1 new bytes
Bytes to blackbytes: 1 byte on linked Byteball address gives you 0.21111 blackbytes

Putting this another way, to receive 1 GB from the distribution, you need to already hold 160 BTC or 10 GB.  These same holdings also give you 2.1111 GBB (giga-blackbyte).

Watch our announcements to learn about merchants who join the cashback program (contact me if you are a merchant and want to apply).

Thanks man!

So I'm not the only one to have had problems with getting the blackbytes Sad, I hope they will be fixed though...

If you seem to be missing bytes etc, see http://byteroll.com/airdrop#after

Most likely you done something wrong.

None of that applies to me.  Sad

This is possile since a long time. You can link as many BTC adresses as you want to your byteball address and therefore wallet.
