I think the airdrop is a great idea and I am very excited about the project. The funny thing is that traders probably do not know about the airdrop which effectively causes a -20% drop when it happens which is not a real drop if you own byteball already but they panic dump  Grin

I assume that the price of Byteball might drop down to 250usd before recovering. I am buying a bit everyday now. lets see how the new distribution works out. I assume that 70% of the people still don't know about the change in distribution. so once they realize they get almost nothing for their btc, they will start buying byteballs for the airdrop.

this is the quite much bottom Wink and wait for the big pumps soon as the whales wakeup Smiley this price is very low for such a great project Smiley i assume .12 .13 today Wink i grabbed some cheap byteballs at .10 Cheesy lets see how far we go.

Perhaps but it went below $310 the last time.

After being essentially a spectator of the 7th and 8th airdrops I'm surprised people are still complaining about the price dump. You guys are lucky enough to have the money to invest in this coin and now, it's delivered to you on a platter at such a wonderfully cheap price. You should be filling your wallets full of bytes because the fact is: the value of GB will increase by at least $200 before the next airdrop.

If the FUD is too much for you to handle I'll gladly, gladly switch wallets with you till after the next airdrop, my balance is 0.000084GB. Any takers? Cheesy

Distribution of bytes is complete.
160,424.226385661 GB distributed in this round ($56m at the current prices).
526,327.234762955 GB is the new available supply, which is 52.6% of the total supply.  Coinmarketcap is already updated.

Distribution of blackbytes will take roughly 3 days, I'll update you when it is finished.

Distribution of blackbytes is now finished too.

As already announced, we'll now distribute bytes between rounds as cashback for purchases at participating merchants https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.20686283.

Distribution on top of existing balances in Bytes and BTC continues too.  The next round is on the Full Moon of September (September 6, 2017 at 07:02 UTC):
BTC to bytes: 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 6.25 MB (0.00625 GB)
BTC to blackbytes: 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 2.1111 * 6.25 million blackbytes (money supply of blackbytes is 2.1111 times more than that of bytes)
Bytes to bytes: 1 byte on any Byteball address gives you 0.1 new bytes
Bytes to blackbytes: 1 byte on linked Byteball address gives you 0.21111 blackbytes

Putting this another way, to receive 1 GB from the distribution, you need to already hold 160 BTC or 10 GB.  These same holdings also give you 2.1111 GBB (giga-blackbyte).

Watch our announcements to learn about merchants who join the cashback program (contact me if you are a merchant and want to apply).

Thanks tonych. Do you know when the transition bot will be operational again? I need to link a change address.

Thant's a good point. Many BTC holders are probably still unaware of the change in distribution. And it's surreal to see price falling when from now on the only (or better main) way to get Byteballs is to own some.

good to know that bitcoin linked address no longer get that much of gbyte in the 9th fullmoon lol

Reducing the distribution % from 20% to 10% will not stop the dumping after distribution imo , what byteball ball needs is more applications of the byteball infrastructure to make it mainstream, then the dumper would wish they didn't

dumping will reduce drastically with the new rules

1. the major dump comes from btc holders and not from byteball holders. this is because it doesnt make any sens for byteball holders to dump the price more than the 20% coins they got. their overall portfolio is then at a loss

2. btc holders airdrop has been reduced to 10% of what that used to be.

3. expect the next dump to be around 4-5% max

4. i would expect a considerable pump in a few days (maybe close to next airdrop) when btc holders start to collect byteballs to get some meaningful amount of coins.

Yes btc holders and portfolio managers may dump gbyte according to their investment plan and as well pick it up same way. the big money trade prospect per time, they dump to pick more up at the dip thereby increasing control on price, the airdrop somewhat mitigates that by incentivizing general public to consider byteball prospects and distribute price control.

Is there any listing of services that take Byteball? Casinos, VPSs/hosting, etc.? Didn't see anything on the site. Wondering what the outlook/outreach is regarding adoption here...

Biggest distribution biggest price drop nothing special  Shocked

1.25 before distribution. 0.097 now = - 22%
All byteballholder got 20% more, so in the end -2%? I would say...its almost normal now!

Hi all. I am pleased to see some GBB traded on BEEB. Can you please advertise the bot is functional. Would be appreciated. Thx.
Yes Bot did work for me thanks.
Only sold a small amount to test functionality as prices are a little too low in my opinion.
Also noted is the price of GB on Bittrex. Surely dumping must be over by now? Price still falling :-(

Is the blackbytes distribution still going on or is it already over? I'm asking since I didn't get GBBs yet even though my address is properly linked. In the past airdrops it was taking less time..
Tonych will announce when it's completed.
FYI: I have received 0.0003 GBB in one of my test-wallets, the wallet that should get 0.0002 GBB didn't receive it yet. Blackbytes are distributed from big to small amounts.

Just received mine also

What brings you to this assumption? At the moment the price is declining. I do not know if it is because of the change of the distribution rules or it is just the normal downtrend after a distribution, before it starts to rise again before the next distribution round.

I think the developer Tony has some secrets in the box which will be released in the near future and which will boost the price. Especially a use case for the black bytes is awaited.

I think the price GB to the end of the year will reach$ 1000 It is simple.
I think the current dump is associated with a large number of distributed coins for this round and many want instant profits now many are buying bitcoin hoping for future growth. It seems to me now the most optimal price for purchase and many will take advantage of it.

I knew about the from big to small amounts procedure. That's exactly what has worried me, since a friend of mine who had to get a little amount has got it already a few days ago and I'm still waiting for a much bigger amount...
