Is there any limit to the amount of btc per person /address that can register for the Byteball giveaway?

For example, A btc whale  like Roger ver could sign am address with hundreds of thousands of btc in it, is it still divided pro rata in relation to btc holdings ?
No limit in BTC amount.

If my Byteballs are on Bitrex, do I have to withdraw to wallet to participate in Airdrop or will they be automatically credited?

yes you have to keep them in your own wallet.

I'm pretty sure the answer to this is you need to have your byteballs in an address under your control, presumably in your wallet.

I guess it would be possible for Bittrex to collect and then credit them to you, but I don't think they do this.

However, I'm fairly new and could be mistaken.

Any documentation on how to set up a witness?

I hope soon details will be out how to set up a witness so many people would like to use this. I also interested to set up a witness. Price is going higher so it would be very profitable because it looking like to run a node.

This is how the major part of the distribution should have been made..this is what makes it possible to secure the network..and not by the lure of gain in distributing all the bbs to the whales without counterpart..like i read it.

why 12 witness on 14 are opered by dev ?  it is an exclu ? if nobody can opered a witness..how the network can be secure ? how much witness can be opered by the network ? why do not do of a node a child witness so that each user of the network is a witness ?

Byteball needs to keep a decent capitalization to not be attacked by spamming. By distributing according to richness, you make sure that people can afford to hold the bytes you give them.

are yu stupid or focking crazy..this user will gets 1% of money supply at each rounds and yu tell me thats is focking secure !?

he have 1% of money supply and he will more 2x at each rounds..may be gets 20 or 30 % at ending..what yu want ? centralized bbs ?
As far as I know, dev does not get new stakes at each round. The reserve is fixed at 1%.
Confirmed.

this is not what i'm talking about..but i do a mistake first addresse is bbs no distribut yet..but it's same proble 2 and 3 richer gets over..tonych is 4 but it doesn't participate..they will finish by gets a big part of money supply.

I dont think that byteballs on a totally unlinked wallet get a distribution?
Linking is only required to get blackbytes.
If your bytes stay on a non-linked address you will get only new bytes (+20%), but you will not receive blackbytes.
Through the Byteball DAG, tony knows the addresses and amount of the bytes (analogous to Blockchain BTC).
But the Byteball DAG (and tony) knows nothing about the blackbytes (blackbytes are private).
They can only be delivered to linked addresses..

Are all your bytes on your linked address?
I didn't know this! My bytes from the airdrop 2 months ago had indeed moved to a change address. The wallet didn't tell me, but it makes sense.
This means I got 10% bytes for it, but no blackbytes.

I'm glad that you don't miss out on bytes if you don't link the new change address!

So you can link multiple byteball addresses with the transition bot as well as multiple BTC ones?

Thanks!

Thank you for trying to answer my question.  I checked the link and the links in the link and let me see if I have this straight.

For Byteballs it does not matter if the byteballs in my wallet are linked or not, they will participate in the drop.
For bitcoins it does matter, they need to be linked to at least one byteball address in order to participate in the drop.
My byteball wallet can obviously have multiple byteball addresses with different BTC addresses linked to them.
For blackbyteballs the byteballs need to be linked with a btc address, even if it's empty, in order to participate.
If not, I wont get blackbyteballs for by byteballs.
The rules for blackbyteballs and BTC are the same as for byteballs and BTC.

I really think the webpage could use a FAQ, looking through this thread is difficult with all the "moon" type posts.

Thanks again and go byteball!!!
Yes, your interpretation is perfect.

Hi, do I have to link my bitcoins with my byteball account in every single distribution phase, or is it enough to link it just once in the chat-tool to benefit from every single distribution phase ?

It's needed only one time. Just check before distributions that your device is still paired with transition bot.

make that address, not device. i was almost caught out by a change address that I almost forgot about.

Is there any way to see the sync status of my wallet? It always says xy% of new units, but it takes so long for me, it feels like it's starting all over again every time i start the wallet.

It's a pity that translations in other languages are languishing. For a wider diffusion of the coin all available information should exist in many languages - this is a critical point, since after all the world is full of people who either know only basic English or they know no English at all.
Waiting for volunteers willing to translate makes little sense - and then you would probably miss the GOOD TRANSLATORS, who wouldn't work for free.
So I hope good bounties be set ASAP for translations and - why not - other activity of promotion, viral videos etc.
This way, also people who don't own stacks of BTCs, but they really like the project and are willing to help, could benefit from the distribution.
If this happens, I'd book all translations in Italian - I am a professional writer in Italian and I have just done some translations for the soon-to-be-launched Bancor Smiley

well.that is a good ideea..i second that for a romanian translation. this is going to be a huge project that cannot be left without additional coverage.  Smiley
