The app doesn't even work. And no one can fix it thus far, for a simple connection to the network,  so i will offer caution for investors.

What are you talking about ?

prolly iota dev again, envious and bitter about bb's success

Byteball is making in the big shock the whole world what a strong growth and how big potential is to rise more high and higher. It's worth to hold BTC in a wallet who is linked to this coin I'm sure this will make so people retire by the end of next year.

 Grin

I knew Byteball was going so high but I wouldn't have thought it happened so fast. Best coin ever. Haters gonna hate.
I remember some sour comments about Byteball in December 2016 by some anti-DAG minded idiots. I could almost sense their butthurt now.

Yes, more and more people see the potential of Byteball now. It has novel ideas, extensive documentation, there is no bullshitting as the system is already working and really advanced. It is basically the opposite of the shitty ICOs that are all the rage now. It wipes the floor with shitcoins and will become top5 in my view.  Grin

I have already partecipated to one round of distribution. Since then I moved all by bytes to a new address, I guess I have to relink this new address to a bitcoin address in order to get also blackbytes on next fullmoon. However, I have two questions:

1. May the bitcoin address I'm linking the byteball address be completely empty? I'm asking this because the bitcoin addresses where I actually have bitcoins are already linked from previous airdrop to my previous Byteball address, and I'm aware that if I link a bitcoin address to TWO byteball addresses both will be considered not valid.

2. Since I have many bitcoin addresses in my BTC wallet and I have linked many to them to my other Byteball address in the previous round how can I be sure that now I would not be linking by mistake to my new Byteball address an already previously linked BTC address?

I have  question. It says we'll distribute 62.5 MB for each 1 BTC you link. But how much BYTEBALL is that? Maybe it's a stupid queation but I couldn't find anything about it.

1 GB = 1000 MB
So linking 1 BTC gives you 0.0625 GB ( ~50$ at current prices )

Strange that nobody can get my socket open in the app for such a "awesome" coin.  No help in slack or github, totally worth 900 hundy.

If my calculations are correct on 9th of June tonych will give for free $52.000.000 worth of money to anybody interested. Imagine anything like this being done by somebody in fiat. It would spark a worldwide news frenzy. But because it's in crypto, there's a silence. People are strange...

Any documentation on how to set up a witness?
I would gladly help you set it up, but there seems to be no point to have 10-100 more witnesses - the community/users cant even decide to replace 1 of the developers 12. Get on the slack and Ill guide you anyway, the process is basically the same if you follow the instructions for running a hub here https://gitlab.com/snippets/1548253

BTW, the wiki is now reachable at https://wiki.byteball.org/ as well, besides https://byteroll.com/

Currently 1.7% of the circulating BTCs have been linked.
I believe 2% ~ 320000 BTC are realistic in this round.

If you extrapolate the growth (absolute +100000 BTC per round), 5% (800000 BTC) is no longer unlikely in the 11th round.
But it is also possible that we will go into exponential growth - then it becomes really violent.

Do we need to relink our BTC address to participate in the next distribution even if it has already been linked in the past?  Thank you.

no

[reminder]
Beware of change addresses in your BTC wallet AND in your byteball wallet for the next distribution round!
Byteball distribution companion helps you.

          Is you address properly linked?
Is your linked BTC balance what you expected?
Are all your bytes on your byteball linked address?
          How much will you receive?

+Bookmark. Once distribution has started you can follow in near real time when bytes arrive in your wallet. Enjoy!

Is there any limit to the amount of btc per person /address that can register for the Byteball giveaway?

For example, A btc whale  like Roger ver could sign am address with hundreds of thousands of btc in it, is it still divided pro rata in relation to btc holdings ?
No limit in BTC amount.

the limit says no more than 21 000 000 btc
Oups sorry... did not know that
