Its really interesting we are playing against Sri Lanka after 10 years and its most heavy rain in last 10 years so lets see what happen we already have 2019 as most worst year for cricket just because of rain may be today again rain won and we have only two ODI's for this series.

Possibly. They might be desperate enough to do something like that. If this tour goes well, more teams could gain confidence and this could be a mutually beneficial move which makes sense in every way.

I will be checking out the scores myself, but I am not really interested in seeing a powerful team like Pakistan play against a B grade Sri lankan team currently.

The Pakistan cricket board has nothing to do with the security of the other team, the security must be provided my the authorities because there is already a treat and the government should take measures to make sure everything is safe, the ICC will not ban Pakistan from cricket but the ICC will not force other playing nations to play in Pakistan because of safety reasons.

@Royse777 I’m not residing in Pakistan but I’m bit disappointed to see Srilankan B team for the series as I feel it’s a step down for Pakistan cricket.

Most of tickets for ODI's and Twenty/20 already sold out and most of peoples are very excited about this tour even mostly realizes its Sri Lankan B team here in Pakistan but still they have chance to watch cricket in stadium and its very good for local peoples. I was checking for few tickets as my kids also want to watch one match but sadly we have no tickets and now just staying at home and have full enjoyment.

ODI cricket returning to Karachi after 10 long years. But foreign teams had visited Pakistan during 2009-19. Back in 2015, Zimbabwe had played three ODIs and two T20 matches in Lahore. In 2017, Sri Lanka played one T20 match in Lahore (remaining matches of the series were played in the UAE). And last year, the West Indies team played three T20 matches in Karachi.

When was the last time the terrorists attacked a sporting event in Pakistan? I am not very knowledgeable about the situation there, but I guess major cities are as safe as it could get. Obviously the Sri Lankans have reasons to be worried, as they were targeted during the last tour. But times have changed and the PCB has made better security arrangements this time.

It happened around in 2009. It has been 10 years now and I am quite sure that they have asked for good security arrangements before touring for the series.

I don't want to comment on terrorism in Pakistan but a terror attack can happen anywhere where from they can get public attention. They don't have to be in small or large cities.

Currently I find Pakistan in a better position in comparison to Sri Lankan team. Pakistan are full with good bowlers and experienced batsman while on other hand Sri Lankan team are quite out of form right now.

I am very interested to know the stand of average Pakistan citizens. I know it's disappointing for them to see the B-ish type of Sri Lankan team is visiting them but it's a start.

I would like to know if they have demands for tickets or it will be like the matches we see in New Zealand and South Africa lol. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh has this name to have full with crowd in the ground. Cricket is a crazy game there.

I expect a tough fight as both teams does not really have that experienced players though home ground advantage will with be Pakistan . So as such it would entertaining to watch out how the two teams proceed and plays though security would be the top priority for any player their .

So they (the bad guys) already raised their voice against this tour? I am not following any news, can someone bring a reference. If it's true then this is concerning.

It's a great opportunity for entire Pakistan nation and this should not be wasted because of some minor group. I am sure the loyal, patriot Pakistani citizens does not like any kind of bad naming for their country, they love cricket as much the other south Asian countries does like India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc.

The first ODI is scheduled for tomorrow and they have included just two cities in the tour (the three ODIs in Karachi and the three T20 matches in Lahore). I guess it will make managing the security easier, if they restrict the venues to just two. Anyway chances for anything untoward happening is very low, as recently there were no such attacks in Pakistan.

Coming to the match, I am afraid that they are going to be very one sided. The top Sri Lankan players have refused to tour Pakistan and therefore the selectors were forced to give chances to the younger, inexperienced players. For many of them, this is going to be their first foreign tour. Let's see how quickly they get adjusted to the conditions.

If they stop supporting terror factions and make a decision to take strict action against anyone who defy the law then there might be some changes but it is highly unlikely as the military and the political system always collide in Pakistan.

Talking about attack. Do these people (the attackers) really realize that ultimately they are ruining their own name? Do they really like their own country? Or they are living in a country where they don't want to live. For these group of people the entire Pakistan team is in a shithole.

Pakistan used to have a good name, as a team and as a cricket hosting nation. Now it seems they lost everything. They know it yet they are still struggling to restore the name.

They got a chance and they need to use it if they want their lost respect to get back. Hope they will use this opportunity.
