Pakistan are really unpredictable these days like one minute up and second minutes down which is terrible. But yeh thanks to both middle order performer who really mange things and does. Well, if you noticed, the match was delayed considerably due to fog and we only had a 41-over match. Then we had a bad light at the end and it was called stumps in the middle of the over (41.3). This means we could only had a half-day's play or even less. In normal conditions, we could have 80+ overs.

Usually, the fog will be there daily unless it rains, so it means that we will have very less overs to play daily and the match may eventually end with no results. The only exception would be if WI bats really poorly or Pakistan collapse in the 2nd innings otherwise it is a drawn match???

Recently discussed 2 group/supposedly relegation process threatens the existing system so it's a tough cookie. BIG-3 needs to find a new way to hand over lollipops to other boards but i am not sure how?

Solution can't be like this; playing 10 t-20 matches with the 2nd grouped teams instead of 5 matches.

It's nothing new from Pakistani team and their fans are also understood things like these so they are surely ok but as we have just 3 hours play on first day most chances we will be having same case in coming days as well because weather is not going to change soon which could be not good for Pakistani team.

West Indian bowlers make good mark in first day of their test series while things were completely batsmen favorable but sill they have done good job Jayden Seales were picked of day as he good breakthrough to his team also took other good batsmen as well Gudakesh Mottie also done good job. Still, on first day of this test match nothing impressive from Pakistan at the end Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan have good partnership of 98 runs which give good relief to home team in these conditions.

Where is Shamar Joseph? this was first question that came in my mind after seeing the scorecard of first day. According to wisden.com, Shamar Joseph is recovering from an injury while Alzarri Joseph is unavailable due to other engagements probably playing some league.
West Indies did well on first day of first test, they got four early wickets but after that there is unbeaten 97 runs partnership between Saud Shakeel and Rizwan that rescued Pakistan from complete collapse. It looks like pitch is supporting bowlers and Pakistan will be in safe zone if they score over 250 runs.

Boyz and Galz firstly I am really upset with PCB because they are doing their best for Pakistani team to be relegated from top ranks, and then they can feel proud about this because conditions are not ideal for having test match in this city or any city of Punjab where fog is badly spreading in last few days.
Secondly they prepared batting wicket, but their top order again fail and bundled out badly which is another problem for them, but surely West Indies is also not decline as their bowlers not able to take any advantage from this situation most chances tomorrow we will have same problem with just 50 to 55 overs and then match can end in draw.

Pakistan team was not in a reliable position at the beginning. Their top order was completely ineffective. They are in a slightly advantageous position due to the middle order. Instead of talking about today's match, I want to talk about the performance of Pakistan team at home. Apart from Jayden Seales, the other West Indian bowlers looked clueless. And that is the reason why the Pakistani 5th wicket partnership is inching towards the 100 mark. Gudakesh Motie has been in quite good form for some time, and he picked up the wicket of Pakistani captain Shan Masood as well. But he may not be that useful during the first 2-3 days of this match. That means that Justin Greaves, Kevin Sinclair and Jomel Warrican need to provide support for Seales. Overall, I would say that advantage is with Pakistan now.
