Pakistan beat South Africa by 36 runs in their third one day match. This meant Pakistan won all matches in series. Earlier South Africa had won T20 series against Pakistan. In last match Pakistan scored 308 runs which was tough target for South Africa. Saim Ayub played very well. Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam also played well scoring fifty runs each. Babar Azam had not been playing well lately but he did great job in this match. When it was South Africa turn to bat they did not start well. Heinrich Klaasen was top scorer with 81 runs. Well played Pakistan.
Should be disappointing for South Africa. With the Champions Trophy just a few months away, this defeat came at the worst possible time. The second line bowlers are not doing their job, as we saw in the third match when Kwena Maphaka and Corbin Bosch got hit all around the park. Absence of Keshav Maharaj was an added blow. Pakistan won by 36 runs against South Africa in their 3rd ODI match (DLS Method applied) and successfully whitewashed South Africa in ODI matches although RSA won the t20 series against Pakistan recently. Well in that match, South Africa won the toss and opted to bowl first. Pakistan started batting and set 308-9 runs as a Target for their opponent team where opener Abdullah Shafique lost his wicket with zero run and their score was 1-1. But another opener Saim Ayub(101) Showed legendary performance and able to score a century. And the most interesting thing was Mohammad Rizwan(53) and Babar Azam(52) scored half century each while both of them, specially Babar Azam wasn't in his form since long. And Kagiso Rabada took three wickets. Apart from that, when it came to RSA, their beginning was avavege where Heinrich Klaasen(81) was higher scorer with half century. Rest of players did avarage, not that poor performance. They tired but lost the match once again. Well the test will be start soon between them. Let's see.

However Abdullah Shafiq disappointed through the series didn't scores a single. Saim Ayub performance is outstanding throughout the series and earned the player of match is third ODI for his amazing all round performance scoring a well deserved century and also picked the important wickets of David Warner. Saim Ayub scored heights runs in this series and aslo awarded the player of series award by scoring 240 plus runs in this series. South Africa needs to improve his batting skill in future matches.

I don't think this opening pair of Abdullah Shafique and Saim Ayub is best for the Pakistan team. Abdullah Shafique had a disappointing performance in the ODI format. He didn't score in the series against South Africa. He got out in the same style in all three matches and their average was just 32 runs in 22 ODI innings. Pakistan team selectors should include Fakhar Zaman in playing XI, and the opening pair of Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman is wonderful. If this happens, then Pakistan will beat any team in the world. Fakhar Zaman is one of those players who changed the match single-handedly, and the Pakistan team needs a power hitter bastman in the team. Fakhar Zaman got the nine time man of the match award and won the match with the Pakistan team with his batting performance in the ODI format. Pakistan selectors should replace Abdullah Shafique with Fakhar Zaman before the start champion trophy.
Can't believe what Abdullah Shafique has done to his ODI career by getting three straight ducks in this series. Defiantly selectors will consider him replacing him with other suitable options available. Fakhar Zaman is good choice but he is dropped from Pakistan side due to his post on social media in support of Babar Azam. Funny thing is that Babar Azam has made his way back in team while Fakhar is still out of team.
With this 3-0 win Pakistan became the first ever country to whitewash South Africa in ODI series in South Africa. With champions trophy coming up, this win will boost the moral of Pakistan team.

The problem with Pakistan was that if Babar Azam and Rizwan lost their wickets, no one could pull the match back, but from there they have definitely made a good opening pair. If Saim Ayub can play such big innings, then it will not be easy for others to defeat for Pakistan team. Saim Ayub has only played 9 ODIs in international cricket, out of which he has scored 3 centuries. Since he has just joined cricket, Pakistan cricket will definitely get a lot from him.
Pakistan won third ODI with whitewashed South Africa on their soil which is huge achievement for them after having humiliating defeats in T20I matches they fight back and register good success which give them good confidence for test series which is going to start on 26th December with Boxing Day test match hopefully they will end their year with good result and have good performance in this match as well.
Here in ODI series we have few unwanted records for the Abdullah Sahfique as he registered three ducks in three matches this is only first time happen with any Pakistani opener, and he also breaks the record of Imran Nazir ducks in calendar year which he created 2000 after having 6 ducks 32 matches in single year now his tally is 7 in 21 matches narrowly escape world record which is jointly held by Herschelle Gibbs 2002 and Tillakaratne Dilshan 2012 with 8 ducks.

Saim Ayub is no doubt a good talented boy but are you forgetting the legend Baber Azam. Just a wait of Babar Azam good game and whenever he played just average, he used to broke many record such as in the previous game by scoring around 70 he broke the record of MS Dhoni of scoring the most fifty's against SENA teams.
SENA teams are South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia. MS Dhoni had 38 fifty's against these teams and now Babar Azam got his place by scoring 39 fifty's and after yesterday's match, he get one more fifty and now his number is 40, just a wait of good game then he can broke any player record. By the way before some days, he also broke Sachin Tendulkar record of scoring fastest 100 in Asia.
