Pakistan came under a lot of pressure after Abdullah Shafique got out in the 23rd over and Mohammad Rizwan in the 24th over. Babar Azam batted very well in today's match, got out with 74 runs off 92 balls. So far, Pakistan have scored 206 runs in 42 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Pakistan seems to be able to score 270+ runs if wickets do not fall. If Pakistan scores 270+ runs, chances of victory will be high.

It is not correct to predict the nature of pace by looking at the way Pakistan play cricket. So far Pakistan have collected 207 runs with the loss of 6 wickets. But if Pakistan can collect more than 270 runs then today's match will be a lot of contest with Afghanistan. But Pakistan's bowling is much more aggressive than Afghanistan's bowling. So Afghanistan's total today will not cross the target of 270 runs. Moreover, Pakistan's run rate is consistent with the over. If Pakistan can perform well in the last five overs, a lead of 270 runs will be possible.

The match is on progress and Pakistan play normal. If Babar Azam stays for a long time so we can think that Pakistan team can hit 300. Babar Azam is near to half century, he need just2 or 3 runs to complete half century, maybe when you see this so Babar Azam did half century.

I know that all the Pakistan team miss Naseem Shah because he is made to be best against Afghanistan. You can see the Asia Cup 2022 match where Pakistan almost lost match against Afghanistan and then Nassem Shah hit two sixes, which was very great for Pakistan winning and the series Pakistan vs Afghanistan before Asia Cup. You know that what did by Naseem on this series.

More crisis for Pakistan as they lost there 4th wicket. Saud Shakeel gone after scoring 25 runs.

Now it looks challenging whether Pakistan can score above 250 or not. Afghanistan are in great touch and they have already won a game against England. On this track, 250 will be not enough. The only hope left for Pakistan is babar Azam, if Afghanistan can get rid of Babar ASAP then they can restrict Pakistan from scoring big total.

Pakistan today can score almost 280 runs and that too if Babar Azam remain at the crease till 40th over. Babar Azam struggled to score runs throughout this tournament and today there is no chance of error. We have seen that Afghanistan always gave there best against Pakistan. That's why Pakistan must try to score atleast 280.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first Afghanistan in with 4 spinners, 40 overs of spin probably as they include Noor Ahmad. This could go either way. Afghanistan might miss Farooqi if Pakistan batsmen settled , they could even punish the spin. Pakistan brings in Shadab Khan in place of Muhammad Nawaz. Pakistan Current score is 54 runs without loss of any wicket in 9 Overs. Imam ul haq and Abdullah Shaffiq is playing well good partnership of 50 plus runs. Abdullah Shafiq is playing at 37 runs in 36 balls and Imam ul haq is playing at 16 runs in 19 balls. Abdullah Shafiq hit 2 sixs during the first powerplay for Pakistan after 1,169 balls in ODIs Abdullah Shafique is outstanding batter of Pakistan. Pakistan will look to set a 300 plus target for Afghanistan.

Babar Azam may be the number one batsman but I will never compare Babar Azam with Virat Kohli even though both are my favorite cricketers. If Virat Kohli decides to win the match in the match where he has to score, he will leave the field after winning the match. In the last 97 innings, Virat Kohli scored 90 plus runs and ensured India's victory in most of the matches. Virat Kohli is one in the world of cricket.

Regrettably in the match against New Zealand he narrowly missed out on a century as he was keen to see his century celebrated but unfortunately got out. The way Virat Kohli is performing, he can become the highest run scorer as well as the highest centurion in this tournament.

I wouldn't say so, it only happened cause Kohli was there. Had he gone out and Surya, Jadeja brought the victory — a proper down order batsmans, then your statement would be correct.

Ofc he did, I don't feel sad tho, he'll complete it soon enough.

I hope Shami will play in all future matches (he's sure to play next next one with this match's performance), was always wondering since start of WC why he wasn't being played. I didn't know his stats before, but during last game they showed and his performance is lit, he's one of top 5 wicket takers in WCs while playing less matches than his contemporaries.

Hardik will likely be back next game, Surya is probably go back to bench again.

And Kohli's responsible batting made it easier for India to win this match. Apart from only Kohli and Rohit, Mohammed Shami and Jadeja have done very well. Shami picked up 5 important wickets. Jadeja's bowling was very controlled. And he managed to play an excellent innings of 39 runs off 44 balls. However, Indian players are in perfect rhythm. And I would say India is now the favourite to be the world champion.

Both does great job in most of the matches played by India. Rohit is giving good start to the innings. When there comes good opening partnership, automatically the upcoming players on the squad will perform better. This should not turn to be over confident during the upcoming matches. Such mentality would easily cause the players down the performance and lead to failure in

India's opening pair is playing well. And since India's openers are playing well, India's middle order players are also able to maintain consistency. And we see good performances from almost every batsman. India is getting some extra facilities due to the World Cup being held in their own country. The players are very familiar with each pitch. Due to this their performance has also improved. Qualifying for the semi finals will not be difficult for the team. I think India will qualify for the finals from the top of the points table.

What a massive win by India. When they lost 5 wickets was thinking that India will lose today match but how decently they managed and got victory.
I appreciate the Virat Kohli performance in this match. Exactly he is the only player who leads the team and didn't pressurized himself. Unfortunately he didn't touch the 100 runs. But he done his job already.
You mentioned Muhammad Shami. He is an Excellent bowling and I also appreciate his performance.

The 21 ODI match was won by the Indian team yesterday and it was a very competitive match both are the stronger one but if the Indian team come into the field then it no need to watch the match who will win obviously the indian will win and they have already proven it. In the Asian Cup and now in this World Cup, they are beating everyone. This is because there is no weak player in the team it seems like they are seeking them in every corner of their country and picking the best one. Everyone doing their best in every match bowlers doing the best bowling and giving less score and their batsman chasing a huge target easily. In yesterday's match, Kohli did a good performance, he did not complete his century but it does not mean anything he is just 5 runs away and I considered it a century. And in the New Zealand team, there is no good performance shown by any player other than Daryal who did 127 runs on 130 balls. He is the only one in the team who did a good performance

Kohli failed to score a century and Rohit failed to score a half-century. But both of them have been able to fulfil their duties properly. Virat Kohli has batted very responsibly. And Kohli's responsible batting made it easier for India to win this match. Apart from only Kohli and Rohit, Mohammed Shami and Jadeja have done very well. Shami picked up 5 important wickets. Jadeja's bowling was very controlled. And he managed to play an excellent innings of 39 runs off 44 balls. However, Indian players are in perfect rhythm. And I would say India is now the favourite to be the world champion.

Unfortunately kohli failed to score his hundred, but he has done his job at critical situation when team need it and that why his presence on crease give Indian team a huge confidence because he is a big player of big matches and already proved it if we look at his stats. In my mind two player Shami and Kohli are in charge of this superb victory because I believe that Newland will score minimum 350 around but thanks to Shami and other bowler to took important wickets and broke their momentum before it settle down.
