Both the team Sri Lanka and Australia played 2 2 matches and they lost both but now the Australian team made a good comeback. Actually Sri Lanka I think lost a big chance because Australia team was not that strong this time, although Sri Lanka also could not see the face of victory in their previous matches. Still I think Sri Lanka missed a big opportunity today.

No doubt they have taken a good start with a spectacular partnership, but the main concern was their middle order which unable to add their contribution to the total board, and that become the main factor of their small target, unexpected dismissal of mendis really broke their confidence, and thus they collapse but anyway same thing's is repeated by third consecutive team first Afghanistan then Pakistan and now Sri Lanka, hope they will work on their such weak zone in order be active and survive in ODI world cup.

It's true that they struggle, but they have ability to come back stronger and survive longer because they have history of dominating such tournament, so you can underestimate them, still they have opportunity to put his team on track and I believe they will be at least survive till semifinals or finals

Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan's main problem is their batting weakness. The performance of Sri Lankan batsmen is very erratic. They bowled very poorly against South Africa but still managed to score 326 runs. The team failed to win against Pakistan despite being given a target of 345 runs. In these two matches, we saw excellent batting from Sri Lanka but their bowling performance was very poor. Sri Lanka started very well in today's match as well. The team was likely to give a target of 300+ runs. But after losing the first wicket for 125 runs, the team managed to collect only 84 more runs.

Which basically the batsmen are out of the field because they didn't collect many runs only the opening batsman Mitchell Marsh collected 52 runs. However, Sri Lanka is also performing well in terms of bowling. But the main point is that the Sri Lankan team set a target of 209 runs which is a small challenge for the Australian team. But if the Australian team can play patiently till the end of the match then there is definitely a chance of winning. At the moment, only 115 runs are needed for the Australian team to win.

Australia has to keep their wickets in hand and they will win the match from here on in. The target is not so big but since they have already lost the first two matches, I hope there is no more drama in this match. They now need 83 runs and almost 25 overs still left in the match.

Also, I think the Australian dressing room will wish to finish the game as early as possible, as only then they will get a better run rate and we never know that run rate might play a big part when selecting the fourth position team for the playoffs.

Wao what a dramatic collapse of sirilankan batting order especially after dismissal of thier top order, they way they start the inning I taught they will easily scored above 300 because thier opening scored 100+ partnership but later things got changed rapidly in blink of eye Grin
