Really impressed me Pakistan's performance. At first Pakistan's team bowling impressed me because they didn't give a chance to New Zealand team to go above the 300 runs. And second they chased the target of 289 runs. Fakhar Zaman played really well and made century.

New Zealand team also tried well. Daryl Mitchell also made century. And Will Young also played well. But unfortunately the luck was not in the favor of New Zealand team.

Elections are coming in Pakistan and no government will do such daring move of sending Pak team to India.

I believe it is high time for Pakistan to change certain rules in the constitution. Because a government is not going to be able to do a good enough job if the government is always thinking like he might not have the power tomorrow.

I don't think we have ever seen a Pakistani president completing his full quota of power after Muhammad Ali Jinnah died. Pakistan army officials are also taking full advantage of everything. A country will not be able to improve and go ahead if the government keeps changing every 3 years. Because of the political instability Pakistan is suffering through much as a country and the cricket of Pakistan is also suffering.

Rawalpindi pitch is totally for batsman and both the teams performed brilliantly batting wise . Balling side of Newzealand has some weakness which is the reason they couldn't stop runs of Pakistan.
But overall that was a good and competitive match by both the teams .

Good to see Pakistan new opening pair and their performances , they showed a responsible performance and lead pak towards victory.
Yesterday all Pakistani batsman acored good except shan masood.
Newzealand tried best to win but failed to stop runs .

The series ended in a 2-2 draw after one of the five T20Is was abandoned due to rain but Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 5 wickets in the first ODI in Rawalpindi yesterday. In this case, there is no room to magnify New Zealand's failure because they have performed well in terms of batting but not that they have done too badly. In yesterday's match, Pakistan scored 124 runs in the opening pair and scored 90 runs in a one-down wicket which played a great role in Pakistan's victory.
Fakhar Zaman and Imamul Haque scored 117 and 60 respectively to take the team to victory. On the other hand, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan both performed brilliantly. Anyway, Pakistan performed as a balanced team in tomorrow's match.

After the T20 series was drawn 2-2, Pakistan and New Zealand played the first match of 5 ODI matches yesterday. Pakistan won the first match by 5 wickets against New Zealand. New Zealand batted first and managed to score 288 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Daryl Mitchell top scored for New Zealand 113(115). However, the way New Zealand started, they should have scored 300 plus runs, but they failed to finish well towards the end. 289 is an easy target for Pakistan. And this target Pakistan achieved very easily. Pakistan reached their target with 9 balls in hand. Fakhar Zaman 117(114) was selected as the player of the match.

How can you say that Pakistan will lose today's ODI ? Yes, New Zealand did score 288 runs but in modern day cricket on batting wickets, this is not a competitive score.
I know that Pakistan's batting lineup is unpredictable and today we are witnessing the same. Out of nowhere Fakhar and Ima-ul-Haq have made 111 runs in partnership and still, the partnership is ongoing.
I do not think Pakistan can lose this match from here unless we see a really dramatic batting collapse from Pakistan. After a poor performance by the Pakistan team in the T20 matches (at least I consider it was a poor show by the home team), this type of performance was needed by the Pakistani team to regain the confidence of the boys.

Congratulations to Pakistan for their outstanding performance in the first ODI beating New Zealand by 5 Wickets. The team excellent batting and bowling display helped them chase down a target of 289 runs with ease and secure a well deserved victory. the player of the match is Fakhar Zaman brilliant hundred in an inning of 117 runs in just 113 balls with the help of 13 fours and 1 Six Babar Azam's solid contribution played a crucial role in 49 runs in Pakistan successful run chase. Moreover, the contributions from Imam Ul Haq Fifty, Rizwan, and Nawaz ensured a comfortable win for the team. Naseem Shah excellent performance with the ball pick 2 wickets especially in the death overs. Overall it was a fantastic team effort. Also, Pakistan completed 500 ODI wins.

Pakistan Cricket Team beat New Zealand 1-0 in the first ODI match. Pakistan cricket team performed well both in batting and bowling. I hope Pakistan will play better in the upcoming matches.
