With the ODI world cup just a few months away, Pakistani player Imam-ul-Haq has warned the PCB against further experiments with the players. He wants the PCB to finalize the middle order, which has been a big worry for Pakistan since the last few years. According to him, Agha Salman, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz are best suited for the role, while the PCB wants to give opportunities to Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Haris. Anyway, if Pakistan wants to lift trophy this time, then they not only need to work hard on middle order batting, but also on spin bowling department.
Middle order batsman and spin bowling for Pakistan is still underway. No perfect fit for the position. Atleast the team should've taken the step earlier and trained a player than experimenting the person for the position. Haris Sohail and Salman Agha were the pick for the moment. Pakistan seems to concentrate much on Fast bowling, inbetween it had good all rounders like Shoaib Malik. Now strong players that perform on bowling, if they didn't contribute good with batting isn't available in the Pakistan team.

Srilanka (W) vs  Bangladesh (W)

These two teams are playing second ODI match. First ODI match was played but only Srilankan women team played its turn and rain interfered. The Second ODI was scheduled on 2 May but again rain started and they stopped the match. And today they scheduled second ODI but here again rain started but they are playing. Srilankan team played only 30 overs and made only 186 runs and gave only 5 wickets. And now the Bangladesh women team is playing and they played 22 overs and made 97 runs and 4 women got out. Srilankan team is looking strong in this match. But can't predict at this time. Let see. Smiley
Congratulations to the Sri Lankan women team for their clinical performance in the 2nd ODI match against Bangladesh women. Despite the weather interruptions Sri Lanka managed to put up a decent score of 186 runs in 30 overs and then showcased a brilliant bowling performance, restricting the opposition to just 128 runs in 28.4 overs. The SL-W team displayed excellent teamwork and a great fighting spirit throughout the match. Its a great achievement for them to take a 1-0 series lead against a tough opponent like BAN-W. This win will surely boost the confidence of the Sri Lankan team and they will look forward to continuing their momentum in the upcoming matches
Despite the rain interruption, SL-W managed to gets a 1-0 lead with their all-round performance. I must say Sri Lankan women's team put up a brilliant performance against Bangladesh women with both bat and ball. So far, Bangladesh women's tour of Sri Lanka has not been very fruitful. However, it was a wise decision by the authorities to revise the match schedule due to unfavorable weather conditions. The last match scheduled for May 7th, and i'm expecting to witness an intense battle and a dominant display from the Bangladesh women's team. It will be interesting to follow whether they can make a comeback or not.
All three games were rain dominated. The result of the first game was no result. The second match could not be started due to rain. It was rescheduled but the overs were reduced due to rain. Even though the Sri Lankan women's team win the match. Now there is only one ODI match left. There will be excitement and tension between the two teams towards the last match. Moreover, they have T20 series as well, the rain may create obstacles at that series. It will be a bit difficult to make predictions about the two teams until we see ‍a full match of the two teams.

The first ODI match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka at the Colombo ground was abandoned due to rain but the second match was also not tossed due to rain and hence the match was replayed. But due to rain, the match was 30 overs. But Sri Lanka batted first and set a target of 187 runs for Bangladesh which could have been won if they batted in T20 style but it was impossible for Bangladesh to bat on a target of 187 runs in T20 style. Bangladesh fell 1-0 in the three-match ODI series with a 58-run defeat to date. Bangladesh were all-out with one ball in hand and scored 128 runs.

I heard PCB Chairmen Najam Sethi on local news channel saying that cancellation of Asia Cup will cost Pakistan 3 Million US dollars and its a big amount for PCB under given financial crisis. But PCB is willing to bear this loss as its now matter of self respect. I don't understand that if BCCI has issue playing with Pakistan then why they always willing to welcome Pakistan in there country but not willing to come to Pakistan.

PCB cannot make any decisions in regards to cancellation of Asia Cup. The decision can only be taken by ACC. The only option left for PCB is to decide not to participate in the tournament. I am sure they won't opt out but if they do then the repercussions would be big. Do remember they are going to host Champions trophy next year. Looking at the present situation it would be wise for PCB to only shift Indian teams games to UAE. Otherwise they would have to agree in shifting the entire tournament to UAE.

This is somewhat like pushing PCB to the edge of the mountain. BCCI & ACC are basically the same thing as of now. What BCCI wants automatically ACC will deliver as both are being headed by the same person. What I am suprised it that PCB took the bait and got trapped completely.

BTW, if Asia cup gets cancelled then what we will do from July to September as I am not someone who watches shit games.
Asia cup is around the corner and still there is no final decision regarding course of game and matches , whatever najam sethi is saying is totally his own matter and it has nothing to do with what will happen with Asia cup .
Hopefully ACC comes up with some final verdict about Asia cup and breaks the surprise or what's going to happen now .

OK.. my bad. Misunderstanding from my side.

I thought that you were claiming that the massive crowd was there just because Nepal was playing on home ground. In that case I pointed out the thousands who supported the Nepal team in a match that was held at Dubai. Anyway, good to hear that we are having same opinion on this topic. I have constantly opposed the eligibility criteria from the ICC, which allows a national team to be comprised 100% of foreigners. I don't understand how they can call such a team as "national" team. Tomorrow I can ask 11 club players from my city to travel to Antarctica on tourist visa and then form the Antarctica national team.

Congratulations to Nepal for winning the Men's Premier Cup final against UAE. Its first time we are seeing that there is so much craze of cricket in Nepal and good thing is Nepal national team is also rising up in performance, they also recently finished 3rd in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 2019-2023. I just feel that very soon Nepal will play there first ODI or T20 World Cup.
Property has improved a lot in Nepalese cricket. The people of their country are playing the biggest role behind their progress. There are many cricket lovers in Nepal who are constantly supporting the Nepalese team. Nepalese cricket fans and Nepalese cricketers have a big dream to play the World Cup. The way they are performing, it won't be too difficult for them to qualify for the World Cup. The way they have improved their cricket even without being directly affiliated with the ICC is really admirable. If you have watched the fielding of Nepali players then you will surely appreciate their game. All in all, Nepal is having a great time of cricket.
This is as clear as water, Nepal cricket team in particular has improved a lot. Nepal cricket team has qualified for the Asia Cup for the first time. The last position final match of Asia Cup was between United Arab Emirates Cricket Team vs Nepal Cricket Team. The Nepal cricket team made this revolution by winning brilliantly against the United Arab Emirates. It is hoped that the players of the Nepal cricket team will be able to improve more in the future. And will be able to present their team to the cricket world as a strong team

The performance of Bangladesh women was not good at all in this match. They did not do well on the bowling side. And while batting only Nigar Sultana was the one who did something. Other than her no one actually was able to do anything. Bangladesh is already 8 wickets down. They need 61 from 4 balls which is certainly impossible to get. Sri Lanka performed really well overall in this match.

Monetary losses incurred by Pakistan maybe reimbursed by the ACC. But what about the lost chances for Nepal? Back in 2006, they qualified for the Asia Cup for the first time. But India refused to participate in the tournament and therefore it was cancelled. ACC compensated the host nation, but Nepal never got another chance to participate in the Asia Cup. And now after 17 years, they have once again qualified for the Asia Cup. Once again BCCI is forcing the cancellation of the tournament. It may not matter much for Pakistan, but it is another setback for Nepal.

No doubt Nepal has made huge progress in cricket in recent years. They rightly deserve a chance to play in Asia Cup against teams like Pakistan and India. This will boost there confidence which will help them in improving there performance. I remember once you said you are from Nepal but now you saying that you are an Indian? People living in India must raise there voice and should ask Modi Ji to move forward.

After having two good innings in Rawalpindi today, Fakhar Zaman was fail to score big runs but Imam and Babar both done good job which brings Pakistan to the target of 287 which was enough for them to clinch match with in last overs bowlers done good job.

The performance of Pakistan bowlers in this match was very good. Pakistan was able to win because of the good performance of the bowlers. But we did not see good bowling from Pakistan bowlers in the first two matches. However, I am happy because Pakistan won the series. This group is quite strong. But their main weakness is that the team players cannot maintain consistency. The overall performance of this team always depends on certain players.
Pakistan has very good batting starting from bowling. But Pakistan has some weak points due to which they perform very badly in important matches. I have seen Pakistan in many matches they win very difficult matches very easily. Some players have very good performance. As a result Pakistan  Very easy to win. I hope if Pakistani players can maintain the standard of play like this today then Pakistan can go to a better position very soon.

There are rumors that the 2023 edition of the Asia Cup will be cancelled. It is going to be a big blow for Nepal. They qualified for Asia Cup, after playing so well during the ACC Premier Cup. And even back in 2006, Nepal had qualified for Asia Cup. Then also the tournament was cancelled due to tensions between India and Pakistan. And now after 17 years of wait, they got a chance to participate in the Asia Cup, and it looks as if the tournament will get cancelled once more. This is not the way to treat one of the most promising teams in associate cricket.

I heard PCB Chairmen Najam Sethi on local news channel saying that cancellation of Asia Cup will cost Pakistan 3 Million US dollars and its a big amount for PCB under given financial crisis. With rumours floating about the cancellation of Asia cup 2023. I found an article that states neither it would be postponed nor it will be cancelled. PCB has given a hybrid proposal but it doesn't make any sense to me. BCCI and now SCB wants the venue to be completely shifted to UAE.

Already Star Sports has purchase the media rights of the Asia cup and I do not think it will be possible for ACC to cancel this tournament. I am not sure of credibility of this article but if you read it full, it does make sense.

Source

This demand is completely unfair. Although I am an Indian, I don't agree with the stance taken by the BCCI. They are misusing their dominant position. This time it was the turn of Pakistan to host this event. PCB has never objected to participating in any of the tournaments that are hosted by India. It is the BCCI who always do that. They know that without their participation, the TV broadcasters will pull out from the deal. BTW, I don't understand what is the issue for SLCB. Anyway the best thing for ACC to do would be to replace India with an associate team and then impose a financial penalty on the BCCI which is equal to the loss incurred as a result of their pullout.

The match of Bangladesh Women tour of Sri Lanka was supposed to be played in 50 overs but due to rain the match will be played in 30 overs. Sri Lanka Women now come out to bat. Scored 156 runs in 28 overs. So far Sri Lanka Women have lost 4 wickets. Bangladesh Women  Good performance in bowling. Sri Lanka Women team batsmen are under a lot of pressure. I am waiting to see which team will win today's match. If Sri Lanka Women team can do well in the bowling line then Sri Lanka Women team will have a chance to win today.

They should be proud of their achievements. They have reached this level thanks to their hard work alone. Neither the ICC, nor the BCCI have helped them in anyway. The disadvantage with Nepal is that they are not a very rich country. Only a few kind-hearted businessmen are currently helping the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) to improve the infrastructure and to make regular payments to the national team players. But the general public loves cricket and as everyone saw, tens of thousands of fans waited with their umbrellas to watch the game between Nepal and UAE, despite the thunderstorms at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.

With these limited available sources they are achieving amazing success furthermore Sandeep Lamichhane contribution is also vital, and now they are having good path for their future in this game which is surely going to have good future in this country even it's never been easy, but they can do improve in coming years in this final they completely outclass UAE which was having good advantage of experienced players from few other countries but in this game they are able to score just 117 runs thanks to Asif Khan inning of 46 runs otherwise this was going to end in double-digit which was surely more embarrassing for them.

Hopefully this success open few new paths for them in near future even I am not confident about ICC and BCCI but still they can do better without any big help in coming days because hard work will pay good dividend to them.
