After Pakistan won back-to-back in the first two matches of the T20 series, they could not maintain the winning streak in the next matches. Rawalpindi pitch is totally for batsman and both the teams performed brilliantly batting wise . Balling side of Newzealand has some weakness which is the reason they couldn't stop runs of Pakistan.
But overall that was a good and competitive match by both the teams .

Yesterday all Pakistani batsman acored good except shan masood.

after Saeed ajmal we have not seen any best spinner in Pakistan side for ODI which should be improved. pace bowlers are doing their job well. Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem shah are considered best bowlers. Shadab khan and Imad Waseem have lot of work to do on their bowling.

Pakistan had certainly done very well in the first ODI. At least they were able to win the match. I have to say the batting of Pakistan was really decent in this match. The performance that Pakistan was showing on the bowling side was not good. I think they are going to have some problems if they do not fix those.

If this target was 20 more runs I don't think Pakistan would have got the win. This was the first match of the ODI series. So, Pakistan will have to be consistent. At least it feels like the batting problem of Pakistan is getting fixed.

The series ended in a 2-2 draw after one of the five T20Is was abandoned due to rain but Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 5 wickets in the first ODI in Rawalpindi yesterday. In this case, there is no room to magnify New Zealand's failure because they have performed well in terms of batting but not that they have done too badly. In yesterday's match, Pakistan scored 124 runs in the opening pair and scored 90 runs in a one-down wicket which played a great role in Pakistan's victory.
Fakhar Zaman and Imamul Haque scored 117 and 60 respectively to take the team to victory. On the other hand, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan both performed brilliantly. Anyway, Pakistan performed as a balanced team in tomorrow's match.

After the T20 series was drawn 2-2, Pakistan and New Zealand played the first match of 5 ODI matches yesterday. Pakistan won the first match by 5 wickets against New Zealand. New Zealand batted first and managed to score 288 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Daryl Mitchell top scored for New Zealand 113(115). However, the way New Zealand started, they should have scored 300 plus runs, but they failed to finish well towards the end. 289 is an easy target for Pakistan. And this target Pakistan achieved very easily. Pakistan reached their target with 9 balls in hand. Fakhar Zaman 117(114) was selected as the player of the match.

The two openers Imam Ul Haque and Fakhar Zaman managed to get off to a good start with Fakhar remaining unbeaten with 88 runs. Imam Ul Haque was dismissed after collecting 65 runs. Pakistan team collected 196 runs losing only one wicket. I do not see the possibility of Pakistan losing this match. Babar Azam is batting with enough responsibility. Moreover, Rizwan is in good form. And the important thing is that the performance of the New Zealand bowlers is not good on this pitch.

How can you say that Pakistan will lose today's ODI ? Yes, New Zealand did score 288 runs but in modern day cricket on batting wickets, this is not a competitive score.

I know that Pakistan's batting lineup is unpredictable and today we are witnessing the same. Out of nowhere Fakhar and Ima-ul-Haq have made 111 runs in partnership and still, the partnership is ongoing.

I do not think Pakistan can lose this match from here unless we see a really dramatic batting collapse from Pakistan. After a poor performance by the Pakistan team in the T20 matches (at least I consider it was a poor show by the home team), this type of performance was needed by the Pakistani team to regain the confidence of the boys.

Daryl Mitchell scored century thanks to a simple catch that was dropped by Agha ji on his own bowling. Pakistan in reply are steady as both openers have scored half century in 18th over.

Pakistan is now batting and has scored 114 runs in 20 overs. Pakistan has not lost any wicket so far. However, the batsmen of the New Zealand team were very weak. Pakistan has done a great performance in bowling today. It seems that if Pakistan can bowl like this then they will win this match very easily. Pakistan team has a big chance.
