Right now, most of us are thinking that Scotland may not be able to make a decent total, but we forget that Nepal's batting line-up isn't so good, and on a day, Scotland may defend a score as low as 150 runs.
Also, this is a 50 overs game, so we never know if the Scotland can regroup themselves later in the innings and there may be some power hitters at the end of the innings to pick up some quick scores. All Scotland have to do now, is to not lose any more wickets until the 35th over and then a launchpad will be ready for them. A lot is expected from Richie Berrington and Michael Jones at the moment.
you are right Nepal's batting order is weak. I would say there are quite a few good batsmen in Nepal's squad. However, none of the batsmen in the squad is able to play well consistently. So if Scotland gives a target of 150 runs it will also be a big target for Nepal. But even then I would say if the target is less than 200 there is a chance for Nepal to win.
The pitch is not batting friendly. Scotland managed to collect 91 runs in 27 overs, losing 6 wickets. Scotland team may be able to collect 130+. However, it cannot be said for sure whether Scotland will be able to collect more than 150. Nepalese bowlers Sompal Kami and Karan are bowling well today. Karan managed to pick up two wickets for just 19 runs in 7 overs. And Sompal Kami conceded just 12 runs in 5 overs.
