England lost the first match because their batman failed to put up any meaningful partnership after the openers gave them a century partnership and then to loose the match by 27 runs is solely because of their batsman as they could have easily won the match by just rotating the strike, but they played like amateur players, trying to score at run a ball and ended up loosing the match with plenty of overs to spare. what I would say is that if England improve their bowling performance tomorrow, they can win.

Myself believed England will win the match till it was 266/7. Once England lost the wicket of Sam Curran I lost the hope, because the tail end players can't be expected to score against the bowlers of South Africa. Anrich Nortje contributed good taking 4 wickets. For England the opening is good, and the middle order didn't contribute. If the middle order had added few runs, the tail end would've taken the match towards a win as there won't be much of pressure.Actually, I do not think anyone expected England to lose this match. And England was actually playing well. They started very well and were on the right track. But after the openers got out, they were not able to form any type of partnership. Jos Buttler tried to form a partnership and he was actually trying to resist the South African bowlers. But he had no support from the other end and that also put immense pressure on him. In the end, it was a problem of not being able to keep wickets in hand for England.
