England were able to save their face after struggling in the last two matches. As usual the English batted very well but the real reason they won the match was because of Archer. 6 wicket for just 40 runs is an incredible achievement after coming back from an injury. I hope he stays fit throughout this year and especially in the ODIWC. He is the only bowler that the English have who can easily snatch away the game from the opponent team.
Jofra Archer took 6 wickets and all important ones at right and crucial time and because of his smashing balling England won their 3rd ODI.  South Africa was good throughout the series and if Archer didn't took thier wickets SA would have won last ODI too.
Jofra Archer back to the form have helped England win the match, if not this could've been a winning match for South Africa.  I expected Jofra Archer to be presented with the man of the match for his 40/6 bowling 9.1 overs. Fortunately the man of the  match is given to Jos Butler.
This young bowler has taken England from a difficult situation. He joined the squad after returning from injury for a long time. After losing two matches against South Africa, it was convinced that they had to lose in the next match. But from that situation, the bowler has been able to bring them back completely. The bowler picked up 6 wickets by bowling 9.1 overs. However, England will be somewhat relaxed by winning the last match.

A comeback by a fast bowler is not easy, but Jofra made a solid effort. The performance of Jofra Archer in the third ODI against South Africa gave England their victory and made him the first English bowler to take six wickets in an ODI inning. England would have been whitewashed without this man yesterday. I hope his bowling will be as enjoyable as it was before.

England gave a great performance in the match. I bet in favor of England in this match because I thought from the start that England players would play well. But some of England's players played amazingly which is why England won the match so easily. I didn't enjoy this game fully that's why I was a little disappointed.  I was very happy after winning the bet.

If not for Jofra Archer, England would have lost the match by a big margin. None of the other bowlers were able to trouble the South African batsmen, but Archer was regularly chipping England away with his raw pace. But it needs to be seen whether he can take heavy workload. T20I/ODI matches won't be a problem, but IMO ECB should wait a bit more before reintroducing him to the test format. That said, sometimes I wonder what would have happened in case Archer continued with West Indies rather than moving to England. If players regularly migrate from the smaller boards such as West Indies and South Africa to stronger boards such as England and New Zealand, it will have a detrimental impact on the balance of power in cricket.

The pitch was batting friendly in the last two matches. And the batsmen have no problem scoring runs. The performance of England's batsmen was very good in both the matches. England managed to score more than 340 in the last two matches. However, the performance of their bowlers in both the matches was very bad. South Africa won the second match easily despite batting at a target of 343 runs. And if Jofra Archer had not been able to bowl well in the last match then England would have definitely lost. England's bowling line-up is now very weak.

So I do not see a lot of chatting going on about the coming ICC Women's Cricket World Cup? It is scheduled to be held in South Africa, from 10 to 26 February 2023.  The tournament had been moved from its original date at the end of 2022 to February 2023 due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

What is your predictions for this Women's Cricket World Cup and do you think the host country will have a higher chance of winning, seeing that it is going to be in front of their home crowd?
South Africa being in the home ground will have higher chance. More teams in good form makes the tournament more interesting. I'm waiting for today's T20 match between India Women and South Africa Women. Even this match outcome will help in predicting the better team on the Women's World Cup.

England won the match because of Jofra Archer's brilliant bowling. Otherwise, the England team would have been defeated in today's match as well. Except for Jofra Archer, all the bowlers gave a lot of runs. However, this match was not important for South Africa. They won the series. But South Africa would have been able to win if the top order players had started the match well. But I would say South Africa's bowling line-up is still not strong enough. They need to strengthen their bowling line-up if they want to do well in the upcoming ODI World Cup.

Agreed. It was a spectacular comeback from Jofra Archer. He has been out of action for almost one and half years and then returns to take 6 wickets in his 9 overs, and that too against a team that successfully chased a target of 343 only a few days back. All the other England bowlers were leaking plenty of runs. Archer was the only one with an economy rate of less than 6.00. So it would be safe to say that without him, England would have lost the match. South Africa didn't looked like they were comfortable, at any point in the chase. They were regularly losing wickets.

Archer is just 27-years old and therefore he has the potential to become one of the legends in pace bowling. But he needs to stay away from injury. One encouraging sign is that he hasn't lost any of his pace. Throughout the match, he maintained an average speed of around 90 mph.

South Africa have begun the innings in a better way. Mostly the match will get closer at the end over. South Africa in good form will surely fight for the win to whitewash England.
Jofra Archer made the difference with his 6 wicket haul and on his return match after a long gap, he went for runs, but in this match he was able to bowl a tight length and was able to pick wickets which made the difference from the second ODI where South Africa chased down a similar high scoring match and England were clueless with the ball and i was expecting the same but Jofra Archer picked all the important wickets and helped England win a match in the end.

I was hoping that South Africa would win the match yesterday so that we know which are the teams that would qualify directly to the ICC ODI World Cup of 2023. Now with 2 matches (against Netherlands) remaining, South Africa have 79 points. By chance, if they lose even one match against the Dutch, they will be in deep shit. One win in the next two matches may enable them to overtake West Indies, but then there is threat from Sri Lanka. Lankans are at 10th place with 77 points. If they win all their remaining matches, then They will have 107 points (South Africa can only reach to 99 at the most).

So we need to wait until last week of March to find out who will qualify directly. Because the SL vs NZ series will start by then. The two remaining matches in the South Africa vs Netherlands series will be played on 31st March and 2nd April. We need to wait for another 2 months to find out regarding the participants for the ODI World Cup. It can be frustrating.  Grin

Because now South Africa need 73 runs from 66 balls to win. It's not too big a task. Because the pitch is batting friendly. And so I don't see any possibility of England winning if these two wickets are not taken.
South Africa was getting close the victory, but they have lost the match by 59 runs. They would have won the match if the lower order batsman made a good partnership. Anyway, South Africa must need victory against Netherlands to ensure their direct entry in the ODI world cup. I think South Africa will easily win the series against Netherlands and enter in the top 8. In that case, West Indies and Sri Lanka have to play the qualify match to enter in the main event of the world cup.

The start of the innings and the end is completely different. The innings looked almost similar to the previous match. England have managed to score 346 runs which is really good target. The contribution of Malan and Butler with their centuries were the best on the innings. South Africa have begun the innings in a better way. Mostly the match will get closer at the end over. South Africa in good form will surely fight for the win to whitewash England.

South Africa need 99 runs on 78 balls with only 4 wickets in hand. Heinrich Klaasen is the last recognized batsmen on the crease and the game is very much towards England side unless they do some silly mistake. South Africa won the toss once again today but this time England didnt allow them to over power them and credit for that goes to Malan and Butler. Heinrich Klaasen has the capability to score runs but need some company.
I think if klaasen were on crease for little more he will make huge difference but unfortunately he got dismissed on 80, after his dismissal no one resist and gone dismissed one after another only W.parnell score runs after klaasen. But game is totally out of control from them now 9 player of them are dismissed and it's confirmed that they gonna lose this match because T.shamsi and L.ngidi can't score the required runs. Any way good for England because they safe himself from whitewash

South Africa collected 176 runs after 28 overs. South Africa needs 171 runs in 22 overs. South Africa's run rate is fine. But they lost 5 wickets. Had they not lost wickets so quickly, the match might have been more competitive. Now I don't think South Africa has any chance of winning.
South Africa managed to collect 220 runs in 34 overs. Their run rate is around 6.4. Although the run rate is good, it is very difficult for South Africa to win the match now. Because they lost 6 wickets. There is no more experienced batsman than Heinrich Klaasen. If Heinrich is out I think the rest of South Africa's wickets will fall quickly. Moreover, it will be very difficult for Heinrich and Parnell to collect 127 runs in just 16 overs. I would say England will probably win by 50 runs today.

South Africa lost their sixth wicket on 193 runs. And in the seventh wicket pair, the two South African players have already made a partnership of 81 runs. Klaasen remains unbeaten on 77 and Parnell remains unbeaten on 32. The way these two batsmen are playing, if England's bowlers cannot take these two wickets then England will be defeated. Because now South Africa need 73 runs from 66 balls to win. It's not too big a task. Because the pitch is batting friendly. After 9 wickets gone South Africa is out of the game , they had total control on the game when hienrich kalsen was batting but after his wicket things in favour of England.  Jofra Archer  is the man of this match for taking g 5 important wickets of South Africa.
Now England can win this 3rd ODI and save them from whitewash .
