Bangladesh cricket is now on the verge of collapse. Many cannot guess what suddenly happened to their cricket. There are many who think it is due to corruption. But not only in Bangladesh but also in many countries cricket is political influenced. Nothing good can be expected from them until they are free from this condition.

In many of the South Asian countries, the cricket boards are controlled by people very close to the ruling party. This is true with the case of all the four tier-1 test nations from this region. In India, the court has stepped in and implemented a series of reforms and therefore the situation has become a little bit better. But for countries such as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. On the other hand, SENA boards such as ECB and CA doesn't have anything to do with the government and they are fully autonomous.
The Indian Cricket Board maintains a good relationship between its management by forming a neutral board completely free from politics under a specific policy. But in the case of Pakistan and Bangladesh it is a complete exception. Bangladesh and Pakistan have a very bad political influence between their management and as a result the cricket team is slowly getting corrupted. Beyond which the cricket team cannot be fully prosperous, so it gradually turns into a weak team. The real picture can be understood by looking at Kenya, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

The senior cricketers of Bangladesh especially Tamim Iqbal's run out in today's match and Mushfiqur Rahim's return to zero will be considered as the turning point of this match. How a talented player like Mushfiqur Rahim Can't imagine playing so badly. Nazmul Hossain Shanto could not start even today . The youngster also returned to zero runs.

As much as I can say, it will not be less about Bangladesh cricket. Bangladesh will not be able to get themselves out of form in cricket until the political influence in Bangladesh cricket arena is freed. Zimbabwe, who were always plagued by innings defeats with Bangladesh, are on the way to whitewashing Bangladesh. How much political influence can this happen, you are able to Guess Bangladesh cricket performance You can guess by looking.

Although corruption and politics influence cricket in other countries Its effect is being observed more in Bangladesh. Especially if you form a team with juniors instead of giving priority to seniors, there may be a little problem in cricket. Moreover, cricket management is the most blundering.

Firstly Bangladesh team was weak in test format. But their performances in T20s and ODIs were quite good. But now Bangladesh is very weak in all three formats. And I agree with you that their board president is responsible for the current situation of the Bangladesh team. He has been the president of BCB for a long time. But Bangladesh team is deteriorating instead of improving.

I would agree on T20I and test formats. But Bangladesh has performed satisfactorily in the ODI format during the last two years. And that is why they are placed second in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League. They have 12 wins from 18 matches, including 3-0 series win against West Indies (at home), 2-1 against Sri Lanka (home), 3-0 against Zimbabwe (home), 2-1 against South Africa (away) and 2-1 against Afghanistan (home). But their recent defeat against Zimbabwe once again raises a few questions related to consistency and adaptability to foreign conditions.

The situation of Bangladesh team is getting very bad.  As days go by, they are losing their focus on the ball game.  It's all for the president, he's used to corruption everywhere.  If the president of the Bangladesh team is changed, everything will be fine.  But it needs a lot of time.  Bangladesh team will become stronger if the president is changed.

Zimbabwe once again showed that Zimbabwe have much better players than Bangladesh.  Bangladesh is playing so bad than before which is beyond words.  I don't understand why they are losing so many times to Zimbabwe.  It seems that Bangladeshi players lack a lot of experience and Bangladesh has a lot to learn from Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe had world class players.. but that was two decades back. Back then they had Andy Flower, Tatenda Taibu, Andy Blignaut, Heath Streak, Dougie Marillier, Alistair Campbell, Neil Johnson and Murray Goodwin. But then Robert Mugabe and his government started harassing the white residents and most of them moved to countries such as Australia and England. After that Zimbabwe has been on continuous decline. Once in a while some exceptional players such as Blessing Mahwire or Brendan Taylor manages to win a few matches for them.. but it only slows down the ongoing decline.
@Sithara007 I remember the golden days of Zimbabwean cricket, and if I’m correct these player’s had defeated some big teams too. However for me both Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are in a constant state of decline, and maybe it’s time for some other countries replace them, but do you’ll feel that ICC will take the bold step of replacing them?.

The Zimbabwe team was destroyed by the corruption of their board. At the same time there was political interference in the internal affairs of the board. As a result, Zimbabwe slowly went into decline. The situation of Bangladesh is the same. We have heard the news of BCB's corruption several times. Also, the fixing of their domestic league is an open secret. Because of these reasons, the condition of the Bangladesh cricket team is now so deplorable.

Although the Bangladesh team is much stronger than before, due to some internal political errors in the Bangladesh team, there is slowly a rift between the players. As much as possible, if the president of the board of the Bangladesh team Namrul Papon  changes as usual, the team will be a little bit  It is expected to go well.

I completely agree with you because if Zimbabwe did not play at their own venue, if they played at the venue in Bangladesh, the match would have been in favor of Bangladesh. Moreover, no one could show patience on the part of Bangladesh, in the case where a team like Zimbabwe has more than four centuries in two matches, no batsman has seen a century in Bangladesh.
There is hardly any difference between the two. Bangladesh can win only when the matches are being staged at home. And Zimbabwe loses their matches irrespective of whether they are being played on. Both the teams are overdependent on a few players. For Zimbabwe, it is Sikandar Raza, Regis Chakabva and Blessing Muzarabani. For Bangladesh, the dependence is on players such as Litton Das, Shakib al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman. If these players are not available, then these teams becomes uncompetitive.

I would say that the condition of the Bangladesh team is worse than that of Zimbabwe at the moment. Because Zimbabwe may depend on certain players. But Chakabva, Sikandar Raja and Muzarabarin continued to perform well regularly. But the Bangladesh team at the moment does not have a player who can play well regularly or the team can rely on him. Every player's performance in Bangladesh is erratic.

Zimbabwe has become stronger and on the other hand, Bangladesh absolutely forgot how to play. Bangladesh is not able to do anything much these days. And the fact that Bangladesh is just scared right now to go for a big shot is absolutely unbelievable to me. The Bangladesh team had a lot of potential and talent but they are getting wasted between these bullshitteries. I love this she is not going to be able to do anything good in the upcoming ICC tournament as well.

I would disagree here. I haven't seen any improvement from the part of Zimbabwe. They were able to win, just because Bangladesh played horribly. Zimbabwe have 2-3 good players such as Sikandar Raza and Regis Chakabva. Take out these players, and they will struggle to win even against sides such as Namibia and Scotland. And this one-off victories will be used as an excuse to continue pouring tens of millions of USD in ICC funds to Zimbabwe, at a time when associate nations receive a tiny fraction of that amount.

We have seen past series of Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh. I forget the last time a Zimbabwean team won against Bangladesh. But the scenario of this series is completely different. Bangladesh was defeated in the T20 series. At the same time, Bangladesh lost the first two matches of the ODI series. Bangladesh is likely to be whitewashed. However, the Zimbabwe team has improved itself immensely. If the top-order players are consistent, Zimbabwe can compete against any strong team.
It was during the month of July 2021, Bangladesh played one test match, 3 ODI & 3 T-20. Bangladesh won the test match, won the ODI series 3-0, and the T-20 series 2-1. In a year's time things have changed and Zimbabwe have turned stronger.

Raza, a big player for Zimbabwe. Scored 100+ runs as well as took 3 wickets allowing 56 runs bowling 10 overs. Even in this match Bangladesh might've never thought of Zimbabwe winning the first match and now it is once again a big blow. Bangladesh needs to come up strong in the third ODI, if not a whitewash is gonna happen.
Bangladesh team needs a lot of hard work to come up as a stronger team...
Everytime after a match they face so much criticism and there is so much suggestions and ideas coming from the people who might not have played cricket but think they are expert of their field.
If it is an individual and he is just representing himself then it is quite okay that no one gives suggestion. The team is representing a country and this means they are playing on favour of the entire population of the nation. This gives them the right to make criticism and give suggestions, and even we are not expert on it. But, looking the performance and mistakes done our mind says he should've done that change by then and it could've increased the winning chance. This is just an assumption, same is with others.
That is correct they represent the country but sometime the criticism is too harsh...
Bangladesh team has hardly been able to perform well.
They need proper training or may be new induction as well.

Bangladesh team is going to lose lot of fans tonight if they manage to lose this match and series. Management might find another reason to shit on players.
BCB has given opportunity to some players in this series to prove their capability. Most of the players are playing for themselves to ensure their position in the team, they aren't playing for the team. They aren't going to win the match if the player doesn't change their mentality. Everyone thought Bangladesh will dominate in the whole series against Zimbabwe. But the reality was different. I won't be surprised if Bangladesh team get whitewashed in the ODI series. The betting odds for the 3rd match is still in favour of Bangladesh.
