Rather than a thriller match it is an unlucky day for the Indian women's cricket team. India have got a big audience for cricket, but the women's cricket isn't much watched. There is none to be blamed, and this is the second time India losing after scoring good in the first innings. Previously it was with Australia and this time it is South Africa.

I made a live bet for India to win as the odds were 1.75 i did not want to miss out because chasing 278 is always a huge task and a quick couple of wickets will always change the match upside down. South African woman needs 64 runs to win from 48 balls and as the match goes down the wire, the pressure starts to build up and if India could pick up a wicket or two here, then they will be in control of the match.

You are right West Indies gave free points to strong teams like New Zealand and England by beating them. If India lost today's game then West Indies will be in the semis along with Australia, England and South Africa. Pakistan and Bangladesh fail to produce some good results in this WC. Pakistan have a strong domestic setup for men cricket but not for women.

Actually, I think that England has a really good chance of qualifying for the semifinals. You know, Bangladesh should be an easy opponent for them.
But I think India versus South Africa is going to be really interesting. South Africa has already qualified for the semi-finals, they are tension free now.
So, it seems they are going to take things easy and that might help India.

No doubt now after losing first few matches England is heading for their semi-final spot after beating minors Bangladesh because they are defending champions and already have their lessons from these defeats against Australia, West Indies and South Africa.

It was expected that we would see the Australian women's team at the top of the table. However, England's performance surprised everyone. They have lost the first 3 matches at once. Despite being able to win the next 3 matches, they are now in fourth place in the table.
On the other hand, the Indian team was in good form. However, they are not able to take advantage of the World Cup. They are now fifth on the table. But I think we will see Australia and England in the final.
