Re-posting tips for those doing paypal refunds:

Do dispute over item never recieved, as you never received item.
Keep it simple on dispute something i paid for product... never received.... what you did to contact TH. (DO NOT make accusations of fake or fraud or makes your claim that much harder to win)

Hope it works for you to!

How long should one wait after requesting a refund before opening a PayPal dispute ?
Dumb question but in what fashion are starting the first cancellation request to TH? is it through the contact support tab, on website,,,or direct email through the: [email protected].....
Cancelled through website.
10-4

Did this twice - they do not respond, they ignore the ticket. Go ahead and open one but also open PayPal dispute/Claim

My TH refund experience:

Started on approx June 24 late at night.

Finally got my refund today.  PAINFUL and HORRIBLE process with TH in my case.  Now that i got it i will post.

I had originally asked in a paypal dispute.  Did not know about ticket system for refunds. Note if you open a dispute it will automatically mark you as refunded on thier site this is not true!  Don't get false hope out of seeing it there, its automatic with a paypal dispute with their system.

After i read about ticket system on here, put in multiple tickets asking for help.  No response given in timely manner.  Turned into claim once paypal would let me. The claim triggered a response on one of my tickets. At this point finally got a response from TH they basically threatened me in email saying close claim or let paypal decide it.  They had no interest in working within paypal for my refund, only to get a claim closed against them (dispute they didn't care about it seemed only claim got any attention).

So at this point had claim opened.  Waiting for TH to respond within paypal with their side so paypal could judge case.  They never even responded, so had to wait till their timeline was over to submit their side.

Finally today was able to call paypal since TH's time had expired on responding.  Paypal ruled in my favor.  The money is on its way back and will be spent in another venture.

So final thoughts took me from June 24th to July 5th to get my money back.  Hope your refunds go easier then mine, and if not i feel your pain!

thank you for sharing, i am going through the exact same process.  I will not comment until i have received refund but it's pretty clear what th is doing now. All doubts removed.

Ditto, I am having the same experiences getting a refund, anybody on here who ordered through PayPal I would be requesting refund whilst you still can.

I am really on the fence about canceling, half of me says to be patient the other half is screaming to get my refund started now before it may be to late.

Their communications since prior to the pre-sale untill now is unsettling at best, a giant red flag at worst.

I do not feel that there is malice here on TH's part but their lack of communication and professionalism is telling.

I only have 3 K16's on order for $750.00, I could put that money to use elsewhere and buy 10+ btc's at today's < $70.00 rate, maybe buy some more KnC group buy shares but I really wanted to diversify.

I will probably hang on the fence here for a couple more days and chime in when I make a decision, good luck to all.

Edit/disclosure/not relevant but thought I would share: I bought 4 BTC today via coinbase @ $73.8275 Smiley

Ditto,,,,, and I luv coinbase Smiley

Listen knucklehead, those of us who sent them are hard earned money want to hear from them at least once a week. Think thats reasonable and fair.

If you want to spend your money to hear from someone, maybe you should try a phone sex experience.

I can't you disconnected your phone.

I would go to your PayPal account and read up on it. 1 2 3 and you will have the money back.

What is strange to me is the fact that power cables are reversed. Maybe It isnt quite important but I always try to match black to negative and red to positive. Old habit of mine.

Update: also putting 2 chips on the 16x board wont make testing much sence unless it is really early stages and You want to check power source etc.

Anyway - keep the good work! Hopefully it brings good fruits.

I'm sure the polarity is right or it wouldn't work. They could just reverse it on the power supply outputs if not soldered to the correct polarity.

Each one of those 4 circuits are the same. All they need to do is get the software and circuitry working on one circuit. Get it hashing. They will then have the others working soon enough.

Well, after thinking about it a bit more today, I'm out.  Enjoy your bumps up in the queue.  Hearing the earlier horror story about fighting for a refund didn't sit well with me, TH has had several days to reply to my email and I have been trying to get them on the phone, but no luck.  At current prices, I would much rather put that money into BTC right now, and possibly use some of that BTC to get mining gear later when the market has more reliable options. I have a paypal order and a BTC order, so it will be interesting to see how the process goes.  I know I will get my paypal money back one way or another, but as we all know my BTC will depend completely on TH honoring their own refund policy.  Will let you all know how it goes when it's done.

Says the guy on the sidelines with no skin in the game...

So, I'm rooting for you guys. I really am. What kept me from ordering is I don't think there's anything to claim with Paypal or with Amex if TH doesn't deliver in 30 days. Their T's & C's mention nothing about immediate delivery. In fact, they say that delivery is highly dependent on Avalon, and that they will have 2 weeks to start shipping after Avalon does. So if 30 days rolls around and Avalon hasn't shipped chips yet, is that basis to file a claim with Paypal/Amex?

ya really...figures..

and if you want to simply cancel your order for a refund you have the right to do that....with TH or any company, until its shipped and you take possesion.

Question to all those who need constant updates and affirmation:

Customer service is part of a SUCCESSFUL business.  Read my refund experience with TH.  Constant update.... no but a update when stated or tickets sent yes.

ASRock was able to send me a piece for my motherboard within a week, and it was a holiday week.  That is a example that will get repeat business from me.

Actually, I'm glad they can't product right now... Buying 10k worth of BTC at 61, if it makes it there. I like the shills though, they have the intellect of the average teenager.
Sweet! if my money wasn't tied up here i would be picking up some coin at this price! probably less risky Smiley
