Best to stick to the facts rather than trying to get in early. Nothing new in 4 months seems pretty self explanatory. Someone was hyping ANC to me big time back with the Zerocoin stuff, none of it real, all BS. I won't buy in again until there is new code and a good reason. I think it has a good name though, and sort of a first mover advantage.

The coin had a first mover advantage in 2013. Development delays are normal in crypto but this has gone on too long...
Lack of ANC github activity has caused me to lose hope of any Zerocoin implementation. CryptoNote exists, the future is now. #XMR #BBR

Concerning Zerocoin, we have repeatedly stated since the gnosis debacle that zerocoin is not our first objective. There will be no zerocoin development until after we get the next release out. Please look at the development schedule here: https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Development_schedule As you see, after the the next release, we plan to first implement multi-POW and probably merged mining. It is my opinion that this will be fairly easy to do compared to what we are working on now. I don't know how long it will take to implement zerocoin, but something like 6 months time would probably be required. Add this to the time it will take us to get the next two releases out and do the math. If you are waiting for zerocoin this year, you have no one to blame but yourself.
And what do you mean by "first-mover advantage"? Are you some kind of investor/speculator? If so, the development team does not care about you. We have stated that repeatedly. All that we care about is the technology and the fact that is ANC is being used.

I am not a speculator. By mover advantage I mean the first major alt coin to actively work towards a certain niche (anonymous transactions). First mover advantage often leads to higher market share if the product is accepted by the market. Market acceptance is critical for any currency to be used in everyday transactions. That is what I am looking for (a usable currency) not an investment. Anoncoin lost its first mover advantage (in its target market for anonymous transactions) because its product has been delayed and delayed.
I have seen the development schedule many times. I will wait for code to be put on github before promoting ANC going forward. I do wish everyone here the best of luck.
I hope they don't put code on guthub until it's all finnished and ready. Shall take care so not to give some scammer the opportunity to copy paste the years of development.
Let's get real, ANC is not developing some ultimate anonymous thing here, why copying it at all.
The only thing what makes ANC private or "anonymous" is it's implementation of i2p - which is - by all means - not a big deal.
The Coin needs to attract Developers - When Exchange.i2p gets real big, and remain having a strong bond to Anoncoin, it might be possible
- But as I said once, I highly doubt that ANC or Exchange.i2p attract many folks in that regard.*one could say that they might not care about attracting many people ... but im sure the devs and initiators would like Anoncoin to be a coin that is being used and traded with... to get some media attention, that people talk about it, criticize it and improve it.
