This guy is right: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHUPPYzzZrI

Second part of 2013 we hit the bottom part of the S-curve increase. 2014 will go through the middle/top part.
So I would guess that the increase in price will be at least as much as in 2013. We will surely hit $40.000/BTC by end of 2014!

It's gone up at least 10× every year so far.  Don't see any reason why 2014 will be slower.  Based on the adoption curve and where we are on it, it should be FASTER.   Shocked

LATE EDIT: Forgot to guess: $45,000

i think it will rise to 10,000 somewhere in the year, but it will crash back to about 3000 and then, depending on when the crash and rise happened, it will slowly increase towards 4000~5000 and probably be around that price at the end of the year.

Quite a few of you who believe in $10,000. Wow.

Not that I don't want it to but that would be awesome.

I'd personally be happy at $3,000+ at the end of the year.

I voted $3,000 just to be realistic in terms of the amount of publicity and businesses accepting it but wow if it reaches $10,000+ I'd be impressed.

$1000 is a given.

$1500 is likely.

$2000 is a goal.

Edit: I'm not saying $2000 is very unlikely, just that I'd be very pleased to see it.

What will the price be at the end of the year?

I will bump this thread at the end of the year to display the % of whom were correct.
