At this point I am expecting nothing from them ever and writing it off as a total f*cking loss. Should the wire +10% show up within the next month I will be totally shocked.
So there ya go, thanks Bitmine.
Adam - you will not have to write it off; if Bitmine cross the line from badly managed, over promised, under delivered company through to a complete fraud, there are many legal routes available. There are also lots of news organisations interested in Bitcoin related stories who don't shy away form discussing individuals by name. To date, they have stayed one side of that line; a pain to those of use waiting for miners and then refunds, sure, but they haven't just run off with the money.
Here's an example of a recent story:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2603742/British-boss-Bitcoin-virtual-currency-firm-wanted-Cyprus-suspicion-fraud.htmlAnd that was for £70,000 of BTC. Bitmine have much more in the balance...
And if Georgio thinks that this is just a little UK newspaper:
http://www.thedrum.com/news/2014/04/18/mailonline-trumpets-highest-daily-readership-total-everTalking of last month (March 2014) : "close to 180m global monthly unique visitors over the month as a whole" - 120m of those are outside the UK.
I'm confident that my BTC refund will happen within the 30 days. I'd like it sooner rather than later, but more than anything, I just want my refund so I can get on with things.
