Dear customer,

we have currently around 140 pre-orders.

they have around 140000$ already, who knows how much more from investments.

An email they sent you? Any verifiable proof not generated from the company being scrutinized?

I pre-ordered, but haven't paid.  They send you a bitcoin address, with 24hrs to pay it.  I presume it's unique to me, as that's how they will know I have paid.
I checked the blockchain, and there have been no transactions .

Yes they have to have paid, you can't pre-order with them otherwise.

Seriously anyone want in on a scam business with me? I've been wayy too good all my life and it's so easy. Greed and desperation blinds people.

I reckon we could start a scam company, call it Scasics, openly start a thread detailing how we will rip them off and then just say it's real and demand people to pay within a finite time period. It's that fucking easy!

Unbelievable, I will never ever ceased to be amazed at how easy it is to rip people off, you don't even need to try to be intelligent, that just complicates things!

Look at the photo with the chip on the finger.

Glance to the right, above the wireless antennae that's been stuck on where the prior USB and standard ps2 connectors used to be. There is a chip with large branding on there. You can see the letters I and N.

Now look at the photo of the full board. The letters are overtly photoshopped out. It's not a different day with a new ****ing chip you can see where the cloning tool was used to cover where the logo was because he doesn't want anyone to recognise or google the branding.

I'd almost admire your tenacity to continue to follow through with your scam of there weren't some exceptionally stupid and greedy people on this forum that want more than anything to believe this bs. But that motivation stems from the fact your con is working and people are actually forking over their cash, because their greed is making them act out of desperation!

Thing is I've known some real badass con artists and seen how they operate and I'm not talking about guys hiding behind pcs. I mean real convincing grifters that work face to face in person, so convincing they even start to swallow their shit. One took millions off of intelligent wealthy people, some well known, how? They just wanted to believe, and that is the most dangerous part of the con, when the actionable part becomes their idea because of wanting so badly to believe something so spectacular when in essence it was blind greed that motivated them and blocked out reason.

The embarrassing aspect here is it is a kid, and there is no denying he has a talent, and even if he is caught out here it's clear he'll make a career of making many people's lives a misery. If I was a shit I'd introduce him to some people he'd go real far. I think he will anyway. This is not a compliment, because the upsetting part is he could use his talent legitimately.

*if* for some incredible reason he pulls his shit out the bag and proves beyond reasonable doubt this exists, and I mean sending a working model to a reputable member or admin then I will whole heatedly say sorry, but don't you dare feed him funds. Besides he doesn't need it, they promise to ship in two weeks, right? So he's got that order for parts for the first 1000 tied up, no need for pre-orders and anyway there's at least two members of this forum that have already paid up...

About our 3 hardware photos. They has been taken
on different days. It is possible that you find more differences
between the photos. This should be no big surprise for you.

Hmm, that's funny, all the real hardware I own doesn't change from day-to-day. It doesn't matter what day I take a picture of it, it looks the same every day...

Dear customer,

first: please understand that we can not focus on every question
or reproach.

About our 3 hardware photos. They has been taken
on different days. It is possible that you find more differences
between the photos. This should be no big surprise for you.
Please remember, it is a prototype. The design is not final.
It could and will change. The next video could show you
other placements, with new connectors etc.
(the white cable is not the ethernet cable, it is the usb
cable.)

We currently optimizing and are about to make it more
and more efficient.

We also apologize for the bad lighting conditions.
The video was taken by a reflex camera,
at this time we have no video camera at the office.

We focused manually because the autofocs took
to long.

The chips on the pcb have the same size like
the one hold by the hand of one of our employee.
Why should the chip take
a other size when placed on the board?

As promised we will make more photos of the hardware
(if you want) with a ruler next to the chips.

Also we will make closeup photos.

Be sure that we will mine, when it is ready, on pools
with livestats as wanted.

For the ones who need more sureness about our product
it is possible to wait until we have finished and shipped all
pre-orders. This could be in around 2 or 3 months.
We planned to pre-build asics and sell them after the
pre-order stage. Like said, it is only planned and can not
be confirmed until we have finished the pre-orders, to see
how many units from the 1000 are sold.

With best regards,

Your CedarTec Team.

using http://cedartec.net/images/gallery/ct80hard.jpg as reference it seems like everything is the same, same power connector, same fan placement, now lets see this baby well lit up and a possible live video or long video explaining everything from start(bootup) to mining, also wouldnt mind seeing it connected to a pc and what devid it shows in device manager

Nothing lines up properly with this scam. Hell, even just look at the power connector that you're talking about in ct80hard.jpg. At the bottom of it, there's a row of 5 surface mount resistors and the 20pin connector is laying on top of two of them. There's also a bunch of signal traces running right underneath the power connector. That's even outside how absurd it would be to pull 240W from the single 18 gauge 12V line on an ATX 20 pin connector. Anyone who has or is considering sending money to these guys is a fool.

Why is this even still being discussed as a possibility? The ASICs simply aren't there.

I just checked but ist not possible to search for other users on btcguild. But i dont think thats needed at this point. Take an old motherboard and  a bad webdesigner, et voila your new super ASIC miningcompany from Transylvania.

Echoing this sentiment. Just tried to look this up myself on btcg, and it is not possible.

The strange thing for me is the "Internet connector". On the picture in the Bitcoinorama post we se ordinary RJ45 socket at the right bottom corner. But on the video (00:11) and partly on the picture above the LAN cable (white) goes somewhere else...
