Dear customer,

What is the expected time required for the manufacture from your
source?
-originally 10 days to be able to ship the first week orders,
through the delay we must wait, we are not the only ones
who let produce in this factory. More informations will
be published next week
.

how are you going to go about mass producing?
-see above

how is the optimization coming along? can you give details of what
needs or needed to be optimized?
-we need more coreclock -> more voltage, not possible through
the resulting higher temperatures.

Currently we are working on a watercooling system.
The final product will need more then 200 watt,
we try to hold the consumption on around
240 watts or we need to redesign the pcb,
our current design allows only around 250 watts.

With best regards,

Your CedarTec Team.

bitcoinarama, they only plan to produce 100/week. the information they provided in the email does make sense, their pcb atx 20pin connector can only supply a maximum of 251watts.

Highlighted sounds kind of familiar Cheesy

the video proves that this company is arabic
I wouldn't say it proves that.

just some details from the video, nothing that proves or does not prove them to be a scam
the webgui in the video is at v0.8
the device has poweron and reset buttons, a led for on/off status and led for mining status
power consumption is at 94w idle and 234w mining
the max hashrate on the video was 68Gh/s
the webgui provides unlockable overclock/downclock for both idle and mining states.
you can mine on many pools and set a percentage of the device hashrate to each.
the device in the video matches the one in the pictures
the wires have multiple colors
the background of the webgui is white
the led work and shine bright

Any other facts that are not really worthy of mentioning?

Does anybody watch their video of the product on the media section?

There is nothing to see on that video.
Nothing that matters at least.
Yes still no proof to be something for real.

For the record the images of the case are rendered mock-ups that don't exist.

Doing an image error level analysis of the case indicates that the fans (appearing to be copy/pastes of the same fan image), power supply, ethernet, and power lights are the only "real" elements in the photo.

There are some that think they are real case photos.

I would love for Cedertec to demonstrate videos of the real case x1000; that would definitely take the scam to a new heights (or lows depending on how you view this).

But seeing as they haven't mentioned they are even on order yet, one assumes they must have them in stock, or can fabricate them in under a week; they're meant to be delivered to their 'customers' in two weeks!

The whole idea is preposterous.

I understand that images of enclosures may be doctored to provide an idea of what the final product may look like - but blatant edits to a picture of a supposedly functional hardware simply does not instill confidence in the project's legitimacy. Ironically, this sham would have been more of a convincing one had the images not been provided... way to shoot yourself in the foot, "CedarTec"!  Cheesy

Any person with the most fundamental levels of common sense should have by now deduced that this whole "project" is, at best, unsafe to get involved in, and at worst, a blatant scam. Ultimately, whether you choose to trust this project or not is your decision - but do not let greed cloud common sense and sound reasoning.

it works both ways

but in the end, its all just a bunch of opinions, assumptions and interpretations.

we want successful and competitive asic businesses, some of us have to bring a counter view to make sure possible non scam dont fail due to being portrayed as a scam. It may appear as an obvious scam to some of you, i think there are reasons for the discrepancy's that make you believe its an obvious scam. Im not saying they are not a scam, the only way it will resolve to that is if they deliver. But for now they sit in between, and i chose to bet on them instead of bfl or any other recent and proven scams out there.

They are very convincing at being vague, and thy let 'believers' fill in the gaps for them.

It could be argued that we have a responsibility to do our part as members of this community to raise awareness of possible scams/fraud/other-concerns.

I mean, if a possible customer of CedarTec starts reading on page one, gets to this point in the thread, and still orders a product from CedarTec then there is just no helping them.

We've done all we can at that point.

Indeed, but everytime I get pinged by email to see how the thread has progressed, it appears backwards with more 'believers' trying their hardest to convince themselves or others it's a legitimate investment. That or they are stooges, a lot of these buyers/supporters oddly have new accounts.

It's gambling not investing.

Even worse blind gambling on a horse that's never run before without even knowing whether they are in possession of a real horse that can run...!
