LOL. It does look more like a scam every hour that passes. I don't disagree. Never did.

Fair enough, but steer well clear buddy  Wink

Bitcoinorama, you keep going on about this "kid", like he is the only person working on the project.

Have you got a big ass backorder with BFL or something?  Is the thought of a cheap 80Gh minor, hurting just a little?

We don't know if this is a scam or not.  Your not going to win any points if your proved correct.

Fappysocks I've changed my mind I want to win points. I believe you can only win points by calling out the inconsistencies, so;

The chip on his finger is smaller than the comparative size of those photoshopped on the board.

The board is an ITX motherboard with the sockets for the mouse, keyboard and other peripherals ripped off, as another poster pointed out you can see the wires in the board still where it was once attached.

An rj45 and a wifi antenna connector has been crudely mounted in place.

Above the wifi aerial connector sits a big chip with bold white lettering, you can clearly see the branding of a logo containing an 'I' and an 'N', big thick logo. This is seen the picture with the chip on his finger.

In the next picture of the full board the lettering on that big chip has gone. Where's it gone Fappy? It's vanished! In fact it's more than that it has been pasted over in repeated sections with the same black slither cut from a blank area on that chip. If you look you can clearly make out the repetition.

None of these chips are as large as the one on your shoulder, so get over yourself; I'm trying to prevent people from loosing cash/BTC, but you are correct, the 'kid' may not be the only one with a vested interest in the scam...sorry 'project'

Nothing's hurting me, I haven't and won't invest here, he's provided more than enough evidence to prove it's a scam, busted!

I'm not an imaging pro by any stretch of the imagination, but in my limited knowledge of Image ELA, the dark/black areas on the PCB are indicative of image manipulation.

...so it looks like the main part - the ASIC chips - are fake and were added later to this picture :|

...what do you mean?

If this was an unaltered image, the coloration of the pink/purple/blue speckle pattern should be largely uniform across the entire image.

I cannot imagine a single good reason why a company that has yet to have anything more than a single working prototype would limit themselves to 1000 units only...

Buy now, time is running out! Limited quantities available!!!!  Roll Eyes

No I keep saying kid as the voice is that of someone quite immature.

I don't have any vested interest in BFL.

His lack of desire to show himself on camera contrasts with the fact their is a registered name on the homepage, so no one's hiding themselves from any rebels.

I'm not trying to win points, a cheap 80gh/s miner would be welcomed, but there's no profit in it for him. He'll operate at a loss. Any idea how much it costs to make a small run, let alone a prototype?

A lot more than mass manufacture, so use your head!

Lol yea this would satisfy me as well, I don't care if they sensor faces either, they live in a country where they'd be shot and killed for what they are doing

No they're not!

For the last time if this kid has really achieved this he has a ticket to be sponsored for a working visa wherever he likes under specialist skill. There's plenty of companies with open positions that hire competent ASIC developers from around the world.

ORSoC are always actively recruiting, though not based on this 'evidence'!

What would be interesting would be whether his 'pool' BTC Guild could verify the existence, date of joining, usage and status of the account Cedartec_1...

I just want to see a video that gives us some idea how they got to where they are and what they are working on. I want to see scruffy bearded men with soldering irons behind their ears surrounded by pizza boxes, working hard to bring us our minors.  Just something to give us confidence.  Then Q&A on the forum.

Dear customer,

as you can see in the video
we have some optimizations
to do.
Currently we have a load of
work to do. We have at this point
no time. We promise we will publish
more detailed photos when we are
able to, also we will give
you live stats.

We hope you understand that
our number one priority is to
finish the optimizations to
start the productions.

If you order right now,
your asic will be shipped in
the second week.
It would be between 20th and
25th may.

With best regards,

Your CedarTec Team.
It seems like they will be providing more proof for us with live stats, also what else can we ask them to provide?

NONE of these scam sites have managed to send prototypes to be varified by a trusdted third party.
NONE
NONE of these scam sites have had any developmental contact with the gurus of bitcoin and mining software
NONE of these scam sites have a business history in bitcoin. In fact thier posting history on this foram generally started at the time of the scam. If you've been into bit coin for years you'd think you would have shown your face some where.

I'm really hoping KNC come good, and that the 28Nm ASICs and thier integrators get announced soon. Even if these guys aren't a scam I would give them money. Hell after the incompetence of BFL and the decent public face they at least put forward........
(note I didn't say respectable)

Dera CedarTech, could you plese write how many orders you confirmed? How many devices left?

Also, could you provide some Internet link that could show that your company is registered in Lebanon, hires someone etc. Do you have that kind of register in you country? Does your Government provide it?

Thank you! Smiley

shipping alone from the united states to Tripoli, Lebanon would be astronomical, how can this be provided so cheap?

Is there going to be any customs issues as well?
