First you save wallet.dat file in a safe loction and delete all files. Then you again reinstall xp and allow to snk . After snking replace the new wallet.dat file with your old wallet.dat file .

error loading database when trying to open wallet. Fix for this?

Further to my recent post;

A number of recent changes and problems, largely focused around my dog, whom I love very much, developed an incurable cancer and I gave her palliative care for the time leading to her passing away last month (September 2016), the grieving process I have found particularly difficult and this has overshadowed my current ability to function. I am currently undergoing grief counselling to try and help me cope with the loss.

(Bit disappointed that someone would think I would be dishonest about such a thing!!!)

As you can appreciate, this is a particularly difficult time, although I am also aware this will not last forever, so please respect my need to spend some time away recovering and dealing with any emotions and problems I may be facing.

XP will continue (and I will return when I am well enough to do so), so therefore;

- I have asked (and paid 0.3 BTC) for Welshy to host pools for any of my projects and nodes for 12 months, the XP pool is detailed below;

- I will ask the exchanges to maintain XP's presence on them

I would certainly ask that you provide some breathing space for me during the next few months so that I may return to full health.

I'm not one usually to hound but first it was your dog with a lump and now it is your mind.... I know where mental health issues can take you but perhaps you might have also made up the story about your dog or even having a dog to guilt us originally.... Not being one with your brain can make you become someone who you aren't and believe your own thoughts.

I had an old work acquaintance that got so bad from talking to his friend "Kevin" which made matters worse, although we all couldn't see Kevin he believed he was indeed real in his eyes since he could also hear him.

If you are truly legit, then get well soon, let's just hope you don't develop a Brain Aneurysm and die then your best friend takes over your bitcointalk account & takes over the coin like others that have used that as an excuse

Pool HAs been removed guys untill dev is better

Due to ongoing mental health problems xp is currently postponed (although functioning).
Over the last 15 years I have experienced debilitating mental health problems which continue to persist and mean that I am unable to contribute anything towards xp until further notice, recently the loss of a family pet has also significantly set me back and I find myself in particularly poor health.
If there are a group of people or industry businesses that would like to take xp forward as an experimental gaming currency that would be good. The idea was to have a low value digital currency for really small micro transactions. If not I will try to keep on top of it as a small part time project, although it is going to be difficult.

Yes download the blockchain again, just leave your wallet in the folder (keep a backup somewhere) and the wallet will automatically open your existing wallet.

Ok, so it should be enough to download wallet again and import the wallet.dat file?

Your database is corrupt. Do NOT delete your wallet.dat file, but you can delete everything else in the user/appdata/xp/ from your windows machine (if its windows).

The database should download and synch ok.

My wallet wont start anymore..error loading block database. anyone else?
