Spoke with Daniel in Slack today. They are optimistic that today (Sunday the 13) will be the day of the wallet release. Additionally, he confirmed he did interview with Forbes, whether or not it gets released is anyone's guess.
Good traders see opportunity to increase his cash but true believers in SAFEX see potentials to grow its stake for better returns.

Have to chime in, the CORS issues are related to our using third parties. With small hacks we get to demo the wallet early.
I made a mistake that I would be able to code during the travels and the conference last weekend.
Since return I've been writing our own api and synchronizing to our own blockchain in order to service our wallet. Right now I'm connecting the API to the wallet interface Almost Done!
If you're wondering why we launched November 2015 and got no where, that's because we were following others' platforms. And people from before supported us for only their platform, they were supportive of safex in so far as we support them (maidsafe). There was no mutual support, only one direction (we must submit to them). Some people are still bitter that we moved on. Sorry for maidsafe, they are no where closer to enabling our marketplace today. But We Are.
So we've moved on to finish what I've envisioned and so many have a vision for.
This is our reason it appears to be taking so long. Over the past months I've acquired resources (outside of crowdsale), separated from the carrot danglers, and I am producing this freedom bringing marketplace: Safex.

It is good to see different opinion around any coin. Your observation regarding SAFEX may turn out to be correct, or it may apply to all crypto markets (except BTC and ETH). I don't think that for eg $NEO should be were it is but the market doesn't listen to me.Regarding your concern to $SAFEX please join the slack https://safex.slack.com, channel #safexvolunteers (which I maintain) and give your feedback regarding what can be improved (critics are more then welcomed).
