Beyond the technical aspect of the bitcoin price analysis, we should also take into account the various problems  that the bitcoin ecosystem is currently facing before making our predictions regarding the potential drop of bitcoin, which, if not resolved, could lead to this economic project to failure, and that would obviously mean a gradual collapse of such a magnitude that we can not yet predict.

If it need to go down it will be on 900 dont think it will go below that.
Also dont think we will see it goes below 1000 if we see new high for btc

Never say never when it comes to Bitcoin. At the time we reached the ATH literally no one ever expected to see the price fall far below the $200 level again. It's a drop of more than $1000 that we have experienced. It doesn't mean exactly that will happen once again, but it just shows that there isn't any level that the price won't dive under. It will happen. The only question is when.
We will not know the exact time but we can relay in the last year that honestly there is similarity of movement not the value but the fluctuate movement there is similarity and i think we will experience of price drop this coming next month or before february this is just what i analyze from the last year movement.. well the bitcoins before and how its popular is not the same right now and maybe right now will be different..

With such a huge increase in a short period of time, it makes sense that we will have some kind of correction. We just don't know when or how much. I don't think we can have such a sharp increase without a drop.
I guess we may see a test of $700 support, before returning to any rise. This was already quite a nice bubble we saw, and now we need to check the real market price, before the uptrend resumes.

Whoever thinks bitcoin is a mature (trading) market is mistaken: 16 billion Euro's is what the ECB creates every WEEK out of thin air.
1,000$ is nothing. If the big boys (billion dollar investment companies) start to trade things will change overnight. Maybe some of them are already doing this on a small enough scale to not upset the market too much.
Anyway for the 'old' bitcoin whales, I'm sure that they are releasing their coins slowly as they did before. There is no reason what so ever to sell all of their stack at once. Not even at 5,000 not even at 10,000. Those people are probably highly educated, have good jobs and it would mean too little for them to cash even a few million $

one thing is for sure that is miners will always sell their mined coins or at least portions of them no matter what the price is as long as they can earn a profit.

Not always. Those who still mine because of free electricity would probably hold onto their mined coins.

Anyone enough into Bitcoin to still be mining would probably prefer their profits in bitcoins instead of fiat currencies.

Things like bitcoin price is not quite predictable as proven time and time, there is no drop as many would expect because if it was that easy we wouldn't be here at all. but one thing is for sure that is miners will always sell their mined coins or at least portions of them no matter what the price is as long as they can earn a profit.
Only drop we'll see in future will be slow as snail running Cheesy  bitcoin has many more surprises yet to reveal but one can never lose buying and holding bitcoin at any price.

So far BTC drop at around $980+, but it easily recovered.  I think $1000 is a temporary new floor for Bitcoin.  There had been  lots of noises about bitcoins that catches lots of peoples attention.  So i guess, if we expecting people to cash out, fresh money from new people will catch it.  That is the reason why we are still at $1000 + atm.

Well, it just happened... BTC is now $1000USD... up or down from here?

My guess and it is only a guess is that it'll bounce above and below for a number of days/ weeks.

Yep, down to $950 & back to over $1000, back, to & fro for a few weeks. I just hope the next significant move is upwards.

That might happen.

I just don't know who would be buying at these prices.

People thinking the price will increase to much higher levels in the coming months. I am happy that I have bought my coins well below $500 when I had the chance. I wouldn't feel comfortable buying at current prices if I didn't buy back then. That being said, without people buying at current levels there is no way we can go even higher, so I am thankful to people buying as I see my stash increase in value constantly.

I remember how people were making threads that looked exactly like this when we hit $500 back in the day. "Once we hit $500, how far will BTC drop?"

Little did they knew, that bitcoin wouldn't even take a rest after $1000. People think that round nice numbers like 500 and 1000 always mean a correction incoming, that's when a lot of people lose tons of money, they try to short and the leverage makes them go broke, it's a sad story, but also a reminder: you can never be sure that bitcoin will take a rest even if you think it makes sense. Same goes for the next ATH. People will short at about 1200, and we may see a further rise, making all the shorters go poor overnight.

We are ay $1000. We can stay a while before pushing on, but... Bitcoin is traded in many other currencies and they probably care little about $1000. I think we should be around $2000 at the moment, so I expect us to push on to $2750 over the next few months. I would not be selling any Bitcoin until $2200+ and that would only be to catch a fall.

Im pretty sure very few will be selling this cheap. If we get lightning I anticipate $25,000+ coins within 18 months.

Most people would think that a 25,000 usd  btc coin can not happen it can happen.

Would be very nice to see 5k this year.

The question is: after $1000, just how far do you think BTC will drop back? Could we see the days of $500 from August again, or are we stable above $800-900?

Apparently, the answer is $990... so far.

Let's see what happens when the USD ATH is broken.

At the moment $1000 seems to be the new support level, but it's only been a couple of days.

Anything could happen.

I guess those would be the panic buyers. It's just too expensive right now for me. I will wait for a correction to buy a little more. The only question is how low will it drop?

It will drop to a $1000 from $3000 high which is coming this month.

A 3X increase in the exchange rate, that too in a time span of 30 days require nothing short of a miracle. It may happen by the end of this year, but definitely not within a month's time.

Also remember that a 100% increase in the exchange rate is different when the increase is from $500 to $1,000, and from $1,000 to $2,000. The latter requires 2X increase in the market cap when compared to the former.

Surely. But scale up and look closely at how the previous four rallies unfolded. Even adjusted for the factor of a much more massive market cap now, it just means there'll be much larger players this time, but dynamics could be the same. It will explode at one point this month, how far up is anyone's guess.

Right now there already is a shortage of actual coins. Breaking an ATH will bring press attention and with it, money, into an empty ASKs wall. Happens every time.

Many bitcoin holders would start selling their btcs as $1000 is a very fair price.
It may result in a small fall in bitcoin price.
But i hope it will only last for a  small period due to some geo political reasons as demonitisation of high value notes in india and other reasons.
Bitcoin users have increased considerably and so there is a huge demand for bitcoins.
So expecting bitcoin price to faal back to $700 will remain only a dream.

As I see on YoBit now the price for bitcoin is 978$ Oh my God! So high! Will it be true that bitcoin will hit the point of 1000$ by the New Year already?!
Do everybody wish it to happen?
How could that be? Usually when it is listed on there it is $20-23 higher than what it is showing on the "real" exchanges.
I just went there to see what they had it at and it was actually listing there as a buy for $20 less. Undecided
because yobit altcoins exchange then volume support for BTC-USD is very low and will not influence to the general price and even while other exchange already through $1000 but bitcoin price on this exchange has been down and currently they only have 12 bitcoin volume support and for bitcoin market these volume was very low
