To be honest, even if the pandemic is over, most people have already adjusted to this "new-normal" wherein going back to the casinos would be considered weird. The convenience of online gambling provides so much to the person where you can stay at your home while be entertained! You get the best of the both worlds while being safe also.

The popularity of online gambling will increase through the years and this may also be considered the future of gambling. It's like online gambling would be the general rule, and going to physical casinos would be the exception.

Uhh I don't think gambling being profitable correlates to developers wanting to make it. Heck, afaik, software development was always a profitable job, so even if it wasn't gambling-related, they'd still make quite some bucks from developing stuff. Not to mention that there isn't really anything new in relation to games and whatnot, so there really isn't anything that developers need to develop. (most of them are quite similar to each other anw, and most of the effort is actually provided to making it provably fair).

It's more like Gambling site owners see it as a business, and it isn't exactly that hard to actually create a site, introduce gambling games and whatnot then get a license. Takes a long time yes, but it isn't hard imo.
