Chess has always been extraordinarily stable (with a peak during the pandemic) while the term maths has almost doubled poker!

This is true. Because of months of lockdown from borders to borders, this has made people who were bored find something to take part in and get busy with it to get entertained. True. On the one hand, the pandemic has greatly damaged the world, and on the other, it has given a strong impetus to a change in the existing balance. Many people found new jobs (online instead of offline), many businesses were forced to change their business model.
