This is true. Because of months of lockdown from borders to borders, this has made people who were bored find something to take part in and get busy with it to get entertained. And the thing has been found with gambling which is very accessible through the internet and can be done online. Deposits made are also easy and it's cheap entertainment for some but for the whales, this is a very good expensive yet can be somehow a way to earn part-time.

True. On the one hand, the pandemic has greatly damaged the world, and on the other, it has given a strong impetus to a change in the existing balance. Many people found new jobs (online instead of offline), many businesses were forced to change their business model.
