Sometimes people are always addicted to playing gambling online and this has made them loss alot of funds, due to always topping up theire casino account with there debit card when they loose. and this usually makes them exhaust all there funds.

While those people playing offline in casino halls play with only the little money they have at hand, and that will reduce the risk of over spending. So now my question is this

Playing online or offline gambling which is more preferable in terms of risk reduction?
Both gambling ng online and gambling offline has their different level of risk. I cannot emphatically say which is better among the two, but I can state the obvious difference between them which will enable you to draw a conclusion according to how it affects you. When you talk about gambling online there is a very much likely hood that you will lose much amount of money because no one will know about your gambling habit unless you inform them about your gambling habit. If you are someone that is so emotionally strong you could lose thousands of dollars and still keep it to yourself and be dying slowly.

In the other hand someone who gambles offline will always get some advice from people when they are going extreme. One of the disadvantages of offline gambling is that the pressure of peer groups could make you gamble above your budget and again, whenever you have a big win your friends will also want to share from it which might not happen when you gamble online because they would not know when you win.

You said it already, that is the keyword "addicted", so for them it doesn't matter whether offline or online, they will look to funds their wallet either way. And you can play online whenever you want as it is accessible, specially if you have crypto, bitcoin and altcoins for that matter.

I don't think that those who plays in land base casinos have little money on their hand, there are also whales on every casinos. So they have a huge amount of money with them. Or if even they don't have money that time, being a whale, the casinos will give them money as a privilege and many more perks for being a high stake gamblers.

The gambler who had the addiction in the gambling is not good to play in both form of the gambling site. The gambler should learn the game and try to play the safe gambling game.Because after addiction,he will get the lian again and again till he satisfied in the game.In casino games, their is the possibility of losing the dollars which had earned from the previous game.If the gambler play the game for the longer period,So the experience gambler know the fact when to stop the casino games. The casino games are not easy like the sports bet,So the gambler should learn to withdraw the funds from the gambling site after the adequate winning from the gambling site.

Whether it's offline or online gambling, if a person can't control himself, it will end up being addicted.  they will do anything and find a way to have money or anything that can be used just to gamble.

It's true that the risk of overspending will be reduced if you play offline gambling, but that's where a person's addiction develops because there's no limit or money to be taken out, more time is allocated so it's more likely to lead to addiction.

You are wrong though, there's no safer mode for gamblers, whether online or offline, they are going to be very vulnerable to deposit more and more and become addicted. You can also top up when you bring your card in a offline casinos. And if you left it at home, sooner or later you will have to comeback again and play in land base casinos.

So that is the same case in online casinos,  it's readily available, either crypto or fiat, doesn't matter, we all have the ability to deposit. So there's no risk reduction for us, the best thing to do is to have self control or stay away from gambling itself if you don't want to get addicted and burn your money.

Playing online or offline gambling which is more preferable in terms of risk reduction?

For me it's the same, in fact there is no difference. I really understand what you are saying, but it all depends on the individual or the gamblers themselves. when talking about offline gambling, or you could say traditional or land-based gambling. the question is, how can you know for sure that those playing at offline casinos are only playing with the little money they have. what is certain, we cannot know. let's take an example, you go to an offline casino and play with limited funds, because you lose even in fast losing sessions. it is possible that you will sell or pawn your valuables to continue the gambling session. it could also be the other way around, because this is offline gambling, you come with quite a lot of money. there are many factors, one of which is that you don't have to go home just to take out money to gamble again. what if in an offline casino there is a facility for pawning, withdrawing cash and so on. so, the answer is nothing definite.

Now we talk about the online casino side, we talk about the positive side first. with online casinos, a person does not need to visit a place to gamble. you just need to open your smartphone or tablet, to play it. with this convenience, you don't need to meet face to face with other gamblers, your privacy will be protected, you can play at any time. well, so for me it's the same whether it's an offline casino or an online casino. oh yeah, in land-based casinos you will get lots of things that will make you want to continue playing there. so, what do you think. for me, the principle is the same, because it all comes back to ourselves. if someone does not have responsibility and understanding regarding gambling, especially if it is not accompanied by self-control. then I would say, that both will be very risky for you.

Both are dangerous for a person if he is an addicted gambler. But it is true that online gambling makes easy to catch some addicted gambler more than offline gambling. But if the question is for privacy and security then I think online gambling casino will be better option to be anonymity.
Correct!

Once addiction hits you then you wont care neither offline or online gambling then you would definitely be spending tons of money and you wont really care as long you do have the money to play on.
Just like the rest been saying is on that the important thing that you should mind about on the time that you do gamble is that you should really be responsible when it comes
to your finances. Dont forget on having that control and moderation because if you dont then expect that tons of problems that you would really be able to encounter in the end of the line.
Safe means in gambling is that you dont compromise those important funds and you do have that self control on stopping anytime or midway which this is something is a must.

The online casino leads a gambler faster to addiction than the physical casino The difference is that an addict will gamble not minding the type of casino he utilizes. We forget that physical casino players have gadgets to participate in online casinos. Gambling addiction possibility is not something to be shared among the two main types of casinos. This was mainly about the innovation of traditional gambling, to get online where more people spend time. The old men who use physical casinos may not be interested in the online casino. Most of them didn't get addicted in their youth, maybe due to the nature of offline casinos. But people who mainly use offline casinos lose lots of money due to addiction and stake their properties. Some offline casinos operate 24 hours and gamblers don't need to go home, they stay in the hotel and gamble until their money is exhausted. No much difference between online and physical casinos. Because gamblers can still pay with cards in physical casinos. Addiction operates in the same way for all gamblers, what is most important is avoiding it, not minding the place we participate in the casino. Because the same feeling that happens to players offline applies to online gamblers.

Playing games in the physical casino doesn't stop a gambler from chasing loss, trying to win a huge amount by wagering bigger than he can afford to lose. These things that lead to anxiety have no limit in terms of gambling. Don't know how the Physical casinos operate in your area, MINER, but I think the physical casino provides better security in terms of anonymity, compared to the online casinos, looking out for KYC, and saving it on servers that may not be secured enough to resist hackers. It should be a better reason why people use physical casinos, to escape hacks and also keep their identity safe. In a nutshell, online casinos are very risky, in all ways like physical casinos. Participating in casinos online exposes us to lots of problem gambling possibilities, while offline casinos have some bad operators or robbers who wait outside for gamblers who win huge amounts of money for the day.

The safest thing is not to gamble, whether online or offline gambling. But that is impossible, because when we enter the world of gambling, it will be quite difficult to be able to let go of gambling activities from our daily lives. And whether it's online gambling or offline gambling, both have risks... it's just that when you find cheating in offline gambling, you can immediately go to the casino and file a complaint.
Meanwhile, when you discover a criminal act of fraud in online gambling. So it will be difficult for you to file a complaint directly, especially if you don't know where the online gambling office is located... or you live in a country that strictly prohibits gambling activities, which is when you report this. to the authorities, then you are the one who is guilty of violating the existing rules, namely gambling. And several articles that have been read show that fraud crimes most often occur in online gambling. So I advise you to be wiser in choosing the gambling site you want to visit and I suggest that you visit and play at an online casino that has an official license.

Brick and mortar casinos have higher costs to face, they have to pay employees even if they have no customers, they have to pay cleaning, maintenance of physical stuff and so on, so for several games they need to apply a RTP lower than land based casinos for slots machines or to apply harder rules that increase the house edge at table games. In addition except some free drinks or free food, they usually don't offer very interesting promotions, bonuses and tournaments unlike online casinos. So if you play carefully and cleverly you will win more money at online casinos or losing less money at least.

First all, you need to know that you're asking a question about a disease and need help from a doctor. This is not a question associated with casino gambling. It is a big mistake to pose this type of situation to other players, since some They have the fallacy of thinking that "only investing money you can afford to lose..." as an antidote.

Anyone suspicious (live or online) gambler, and even those who do not, should have themselves checked by an expert in the area, because it does not matter if you are online or in a land-based casino, nothing will stop their addiction.

I don't really see any difference between online gambling and offline gambling, the two are just really addictive, and addicted gamblers do crazy things in both online and offline gambling. If you are talking about risk reduction, fine, I know it's really easy to deposit money through a debit card, and you can gamble anywhere since you can do that on your mobile device, but when you talk about offline gambling, I have seen people that do borrow money from their fellow gamblers at gambling shops, and if they are unable to pay back, maybe their phone will be taken from them, or maybe they won't be allowed to go away with some of their properties. I have seen people gamble with their properties before at physical gambling shops. Some people end up becoming homeless because they gambled with their house, so to me, the two are addictive, and we should try our best not to be addicted to either online or offline gambling. I don't think anyone is better.

Online and offline gambling both come with risks of overspending.

With online gambling, having your bank account or crypto wallet at your fingertips makes it tempting to deposit more funds after losses pile up and  it can spiral quickly into recklessly chasing winnings that never seem to come.  Financial strain creeps up before you know it.

But offline gambling has its own traps too.  Even without technology enabling your bad habits, a flashy casino atmosphere clouds judgment.  Carrying spare cash or cards on you leads to brash bets, regardless of best intentions walking through the doors.

The bottom line - neither format will necessarily protect you from yourself in the heat of the moment.  It is wise to set firm limits beforehand online and off.  And stick to them, no matter how enticing the what if appears at the time.

Playing offline or online, both are almost the same because just like you said that playing online makes a gambler to exhaust the money he has in his banking account even those that plays offline, there are times when they also exhaust the money they have at hand, they will request to send funds to the betting operator in other for them to continue gambling the only difference is that betting shops closes so as soon as they close you cannot place a bet till the following dey unlike those that plays at any time online. But however, be it online or offline a gambler needs to regulate his gambling activities as not all time that you're expected to place bets sometimes you can chill and just observe how the system is working rather trying to place more bets and yet keep on losing.

In terms of risk reduction for preventing an addiction relapse? For sure I would say that each has its benefits.
Physical casinos tend to check Id more strictly on entry in most countries so of you ask for limiting your betting, or being self excluded, it's much easier to enforce.

However for online casinos, self-imposed limits are applied automatically which is a good advantage.

Overall I think that if a gambler is likely to relapse to being a problem gambler though, I think they should really reconsider their habits all together and maybe quit cold turkey.

For me, it's the same thing, and neither is better. If you play online, it's always for your comfortability or time factor, while if you play offline, it takes your time to visit the casino hall. Now,  people are not addicted to gambling because of the fact that they can add more money and play, but because they are either greedy to let go of their losses or because they just like playing all the time.

So it doesn't matter whether it's online or offline; it's a personal issue. If you can't control yourself to become addicted, then it's your cup of tea.

Both are risky and no one is lesser the main thing is that if you can't control your risk level then you can be minimize how you spend money.
You are actually correct because if you don set your plans for the week on how you will make your expenses, you will still over spend. Because in offline If you are financially exhausted you can still make transfer or even use Your debit card to make withdrawal and continue playing or even use Your cloth to gamble just as you said. though I never thought of that but I am beginning to see reason to both being same.
Yeah you won't know until you began to see reason why they are the same because gambling needs planning and setting some restrictions it can be a limit otherwise when you out of control then your money is at risk, people who continue gambling are the ones who don't gamble responsibly. Any responsible gambler knows their limits and people who are irresponsible also create a bad names to make gambling looks very bad, but no even the responsible gambler don't always make themselves known to the general public.

Because of how easy to gamble online, people can spend more than they have planned to use in gambling. But when you have to walk to gamble and then you set out with an amount of money, once exhausted, you will need to return home, and that reduces the chances of you spending more than you have planned. So in terms of which gambling is better to reduce the risk of spending more money than planned, then offline gambling is safer.

I don't think you can just conclude that online gambling is more likely to have a greater potential for addiction, what is certain in my opinion is that in terms of the impact of gambling, online or offline, everything is still at risk and the question is, can you keep your gambling safe? Gambling addiction always starts with how the person treats or responds to his gambling activities, if you come with a low level of understanding of what gambling actually is along with the opportunities and risks that are there then obviously the possibility of addiction can always be closer, whether you are involved in online or offline casinos.

So you can't just look at it from one side that offline casinos won't cost you as much money, however at the end of the day as I said before it all comes back to how a person addresses and treats the gambling activity itself, even if they are involved in offline casinos if they basically always overdo it then obviously the potential for addiction is significant and the number of losses is definitely large. So if you want to be safe without losing anything then it is better not to touch gambling because this is a game of probability and risk. Wink
