yes there may be different sites, from where you can get the address of the shops who are accepting bitcoin for online shopping, in fact personally have no such experience therefore i never use my bitcoin for online shopping.

Well, in my country has been very much an online store that accepts bitcoin, but whether it's a scam or not. I never tried, because not many of the comments about the site. so, I currently prefer to exchange bitcoin with fiat before I use it.
i myself using online shops for shopping, although in my area there is not a single shop who are accepting bitcoin for shopping, but still we have the opportunity to use bitcoin in online shops, hope very soon people will be using bitcoin in our local shops also. If you want to use your bitcoins at your local shops then you have two choice either you can sell your bitcoins and convert it to your local currency or else you can use bitcoin debit card at offline places for shopping as its hard at a moment for bitcoin to get accepted directly at local shops as still many people are not aware about bitcoins.
