Many coins died in 2018 after bears trampled on crypto market, the end result was devastating so much that many coins got dead in few months, I'm positive that the next bear market will kill many projects too, weak projects aren't meant for bear season, to stay alive will be very hard

People should focus more on buying coins with strong use case and not some hyper price prediction which will eventually lead to their mishap. You can't be wrong with altcoins like DOT, ADA, SOL, Polygon, Kumasa and the rest good projects and not some safemoon, safemars and safehell which kills.

The phrase buy the dip is only a good advice when you apply it properly by buying the very good altcoins whose value is only down because of the bearish market condition. Because it is not all coins that dip that would recover their value.
True, unless there is a certain Elon Musk to lift those shit coins from the blue. Buying the dip is more appropriate for coins with a big market cap such that the chances of a collapse don't exist while the value always lies in the future. Buying the dip doesn't always mean that one should buy just any coin during a bear run because some coins might become dust after the bear run is over.
During the bearish period, this is like natural selection, where coins that have faith will be able to bounce back and those that don't, will become ashes and difficult to come back again. therefore by looking at the market cap, we will know which coins are suitable for investment. for me it is not difficult to find. we can choose bitcoin if we don't want to analyze it complicated

As long as people are mining them, and there is a community behind them, they will survive regardless of what happens with Bitcoin.
I agree for the point of stronger community. Without supporters, I believe that no coin could survive. Obviously more people will support only good coins and this is the reason what OP is trying to emphasize here is absolutely a real fact.

The phrase buy the dip is only a good advice when you apply it properly by buying the very good altcoins whose value is only down because of the bearish market condition. Because it is not all coins that dip that would recover their value.

For example, early this year (when the market was super bullish) almost all the projects released saw good increase in their value. but that doesn't mean it is all of them that were very good projects. After the market dip (correction), most of them never recovered their value. The crypto market is filled with a lot of scrap altcoins and the market way of sheding them off is to dip (correction). So it would be in your best interest to only buy very good coins in the market dip.
A lot of good projects suffer because of the manipulation of the price of Bitcoin, particularly if they raised funds from the public and have devs to pay. It just goes to show that even the best technology does not always win because you need a real world usecase and marketing to be successful. Some projects that can survive just about anything are RVN and 0xMR because they are mineable and raised no funds from the public. As long as people are mining them, and there is a community behind them, they will survive regardless of what happens with Bitcoin.

And that's why we have the term shitcoin, those coin that don't offer any value in the market but for pure pump and dump. So in the bearish cycle, they are going to die.

For example, early this year (when the market was super bullish) almost all the projects released saw good increase in their value. but that doesn't mean it is all of them that were very good projects. You just have to look at Ethereum, during the bearish cycle, it went as low as $450 if my memory serves me right. But look at the current price, above $3k. So if you invested on 2018, then the profit is already huge. Personally, I didn't invest on it, but it is a huge mistake on my end, big lessons to learn.

So why do people still choose to buy potentially risky projects due to deep discounts? I don't want to say which is better or riskier because it is the nature of investment, and you have to accept it. If you do well, you will feel right, and vice versa. But anyway, personally I think just being a simple holder with only BTC ETH Smiley , that's me personally.

Not only good projects will survive in the market but other projects also gain popularity if they have good team management and future plans. Many projects have acquired top rankings with better development and future plans.

Never buy non-fundamental coins and if you do so, expect high risks of losing everything. If you buy the dip considering coins like Litecoin, Ripple, EOS, Stellar and Ethereum of course - you won't be disappointed Smiley

Its correct, not all coins could recover their value because some of them could be dying before next bull seasons happen, the community really takes part to maintain the position of its project on the market, because i see Pirl which lacked support of its community fall down because lack of volume trading and ends up become delisting on many exchanges.
It might depend on the project's status if they are actively having progress there might a chance that they will pump too, or a project that has a real use or has a real product, they will also pump the same as Bitcoin does and the last one has the full support of the community and yes, you're right, that's the sign that it is a good project to hold.

But if I were you, invest in the top 5 high volume altcoins on the Coin market cap if you really don't risk too much, because picking a new project that launched is a very crucial part, you don't know the legitimacy because anytime the developer will abandon the project and that is it will become a s shitcoin which means no value on the exchange.

In this market, to be relatively safe, better invest in top alts. We know that some will pump high but the question is their longevity in this market. With established alts, you know very well that they will have market no matter what. And to evaluate potential alts, look for their actual use case, active users and if they are really serving good number of users. Are they satisfied or not? Without tangible app, would be hard to survive in this competitive market.

The scam coins will always be abandoned a few months after the launch, it's exist in the market was not caused by it will be developing something new.
Thousands of crap coins already wiped out from the market since the altcoins were booming. people must be aware if it's not all of coins are worth to invest but some newbies are still betting on the new coins.
The whales were using this kind of coins to be a way to conduct a short term pump to the token.
It has no fundamental and this must become the main reason why such coin will dead as soon as possible. Im seeing it right now so many dog tokens were going down to the bottom.

When a price correction or dip occurs, try to buy coins that are in the top 30 on coinmarketcap, they are all big projects and almost all of them have real products, the possibility of recovery will be very large.

That is what we obviously seeing and for sure that everyone makes to understand that shitcoins can no longer be a good coin no matter how long we hold them it never has a chance to increase their market credibility. This somewhat gives us the reason why we should choose those coins that are worth it. If we don't care about losing our money, then we have to choose shitcoins.

For we are aiming for long-term investment, it was best not to choose new projects as the majority of them are short-term and as usual, they will go after the hypes rather than to pick coins on the top 10 or top 20.

Most of the projects that have been out in the market today are usually good from the start seeing the project's good promotion and development but when a big correction strikes, their value eventually start to decline and some may even recover but most of them stay in dip. So its best to choose those top coins who are always listed in the top 10 or 20 as they have more chances to recover from such corrections in the market.

However, everytime a bearish season comes, even those good coins drop their prices along with those low potential coins. But as long as they still recover from any dips, investing in those coins are still worth the risk.

In the bull run season everything which comes to the market is faced with a pump, not all coin which pump  in the bull run is a potential coin, this is why we should make good research and be sure the coin we are investing got a good back up and potential project which can enable it's coin survive in the market for long even after a market crash. Truly not all coin which falls in prices rise again,  only the good ones rise again so always chose wisely when investing to avoid being a victim of loss.

Those coins that can't recover from the dip were just shitcoins or garbage coins. The purpose of those coins that exists in the market is to be a scam token or money-grabber only. i have been seeing so many tokens issued when the doge hype was around the crypto market already dead.

The garbage coin was just a garbage coin. it has no utility usage and that's why such coin will never exist in the long term, there must be an exception for a garbage coin that got the hype.

It's a common thing since anyone will be free to createe their own token in the various smartcontract platforms. Good coin with a very good development progress will survive for long term

I absolutely agree with you. First of all, you need to rely on the technological map of the project, on its long-term perspective. After all, if the project is really applicable in the crypto space, then your investments are much less likely to be lost. We can take as an example several projects that can now change the idea of the Ethereum network (problems with transactions, their cost, speed and low scalability). Solana, Near Protocol, Matic. Their charts clearly show that they had moments of falling in the bear market, but users and investors did not let these projects get lost among altcoin garbage. All because these projects carry the right technological solutions
That's right but the real challenge is to find such coins before they are explored by everyone else. Once a coin is explored by everyone or has a mammoth ICO, it really becomes a dead ass coin, just like EOS.

You can buy Ethereum during the dip, maybe BNB and even ADA but you cannot afford to buy meme coins during a dip in the market.

Altcoins trading isn't as simple as it might look to an outsider because there are scam coins, projects good but lack interest and then there are those who have potential, a good team but still can't get things going.

Just as I read your post I realized how I forgot about EOS. It is a rank 30 coin now. Didn't they collect an amount something like $4 billion?

As OP said the good coins survive the dip but that does by no means mean that the dip also is a real hit! Wink In the truest sense, alt coins suffer hard during dips no matter how good they performed and how good they actually are. Ethereum went so far down during the last major crash it went even under $100 again. But yes OP is right Ethereum survived and is doing awesome these days at least in terms of its price.

Naturally in every financial market especially cryptocurrencies of stocks only The Good assets and cryptos will recover from a dip in market value and that's because almost every market witnessed periods where all the prices of the assets generally go down but the good asset to always recover because they have good fundamental properties that have backing up the prices on the chat while the most speculative asset will suffer because when the fundamentals are lacking investors will not be able to back such assets or cryptocurrencies in a bearish market.
