I finally was able to obtain an stabilized driver to work with my RX580 for xpm. Crimson 18 beta with over clock core to 1495 MHz I'm getting 9.45 cpd only... I know RX580 can get 11 - 12 cpd with coming miner updated version. I hope it does, if it does I will open the first primecoin computer parts shop online with very competitive prices. Even when they are out stock I will bevable to have them in stock as I have direct line to more than 10 warehouses retailers.

No matter what I can't install the 16.xx to work on NY RX580's ...

1) downloaded 16.9.2 from AMD web page
2) copy content on 17.4.4 inf folder
3) DDU uninstaller in safe mode to remove old drivers
4) tried manual installation, it installs, then reboot and miner says no OPENCL GPU were found.

works fine for me.

Didn't try yet but won't do it neither: Copy RX480 bios on my RX580 (CAN BRICK MY GPU)

it does not brick my rx580 but it does not work for me.
even with rx480 bios drivers recognize gpu as rx580.

Tried every single driver on AMD without luck. 17.12.1 gives me only 7 cpd

Any help is welcome

Mining on an R9 Nano (Win 7, 17.12 drivers, powertune +50), I only get around 10.5 cpd with this miner, but with Claymore's solo miner I get 15 cpd. Clearly the card is capable of way more than 10 cpd...  Is there anything specific that I need to put in the bat file or something to make my card wake up or could it be that this miner is not well optimized for this particular card?

According to extremal, RX 580 should be doing 10 - 11 CPD with Crimson 16.xx drivers, problem is none of the Crimson 16.x recognize RX 580's only the latest one recognize RX 480

which OS are you running on? Windows 10?

yes, windows 10

download 16.xxx and 17.xxx driver.
extract booth driver and copy all contents from 16.xxx (Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\B30xxxx) to 17.xxx (Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\B31xxxx).
manualy install 17.xxx driver. windows10 will prompt that driver is not digitaly signed but just click to continue with instalation.
you can try this with 16.9.2 and 17.4.4

Are there any plans to write a fresh version of the miner?

After new Radeon RX Vega comes.

so... any update on this miner with newer catalyst drivers, RX580 stuck here with Claymore miner only as its the only one working with cataylyst 15, older catalyst wont recognize RX580´s gpus

try xpmclient miner ver. 9 instead of ver. 10 beta

Thanks for the tip.
Finally it works with 9.4.1 xpmclient with stock kernel which is included in 9.4.1 package. It works after I add "setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0" in .bat file and it works only if I run xpmclient from .bat file.
Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ 4GB, elpidia memory with moded bios.
GPU 1340MHz, mem 2000MHz, driver 16.9.2 : 9.8cpd

try xpmclient miner ver. 9 instead of ver. 10 beta

I don't know if your response was for me but ver. 9 didn't work for me (does someone found a correct config.txt for the nvidia gtx 1080ti ?), only ver. 10 worked (but crashes from time to time).

i just bought 10 x RX 580 will windows 10 recognize the 10´s with catalyst 14.7 which is the recommend one for this miner? Also should i mod the RX 580 into RX 480 for better performance... or that just work for ETH mining?

have you success with rx580 under windows10?
i cannot get it to work with xpmclient.
works fine for zcl, eth ...

I get ~ 17 cpd with my GTX 1080Ti, nice =)

I'm trying xpmclient on a g3.4xlarge instance of AWS: 1 GPU (product: GM204GL [Tesla M60]) with 8GiB  and 16vCPUs (https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/new-next-generation-gpu-powered-ec2-instances-g3/).
I've got only ~6cpd =(

Here is the result of a nvidia-smi
Code:
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| NVIDIA-SMI 384.98                 Driver Version: 384.98                    |
|-------------------------------+----------------------+----------------------+
| GPU  Name        Persistence-M| Bus-Id        Disp.A | Volatile Uncorr. ECC |
| Fan  Temp  Perf  Pwr:Usage/Cap|         Memory-Usage | GPU-Util  Compute M. |
|===============================+======================+======================|
|   0  Tesla M60           Off  | 00000000:00:1E.0 Off |                    0 |
| N/A   56C    P0   122W / 150W |   1115MiB /  7613MiB |    100%      Default |
+-------------------------------+----------------------+----------------------+

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| Processes:                                                       GPU Memory |
|  GPU       PID   Type   Process name                             Usage      |
|=============================================================================|
|    0      4795      C   ./xpmclient                                 1104MiB |
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Is it possible to use all GPU memory ? (It only uses 1115Mib of the 7613 available...)
Could it boost the cpd ?

[I've got the same result on a p2.xlarge aws instance.]

Thanks  Smiley
