Version 2.1.0 released!

Please see github for details.
https://github.com/Optiminer/OptiminerEquihash

This version fixes some problems and brings compatibility with more cards.

The next big target will be to rewrite the kernel for CUDA to better support Nvidia cards. This will happen before a first windows release. Why? The experience of OptiminerZero has shown that the current OpenCL solution works very poorly under windows. Therefore, releasing a windows version at the moment would not be much worth and therefore a waste of time.

Happy mining!

Unless you were having a problem with V2.0, you don't need to upgrade, no performance increase, just bug/stability fixes.

I've only amd rx580 rigs , shall we do better to change optiminer version ?
thanks a lot dev.

The update link in the readme was still pointing to the old version. Try again now.

really? oh, my bad then:-(

Did you make the version 2.1 work on ethos? I tried but always got the "version GLIBCXX_3.4.21 not defined in file libstdc++.so.6 with link time reference" error. I reverted back to 2.0, no new update for me  Cry

That's due to upgrading to compile with gcc 5.4.0. I'll try to provide a static version. You can try updating libstdc++ on ethos meanwhile.

It's not a CUDA problem, I'm running CUDA 8.0 :

Link on github is still pointing to 2.0.0 release.

Here is the good one : https://github.com/Optiminer/OptiminerEquihash/raw/master/optiminer-equihash-2.1.0.tar.gz

Me and my GTX 1060 are waiting for the CUDA release Wink

Thanks for this miner.

BTW, when I run optiminer-equihash-2.1.0 I have this issue :

Guess it's because I'm running CUDA 5.0 and I need CUDA 6.0

I wonder why the computer stops frequently.

CPU G3930, 1060 3g * 8, and RAM 4G.

Is there a solution?
Nope, have the same issues. Just make it restart using 'monit'.

Unoptimized for Nvidia. 1080Ti only performs marginally better than RX 470/480.
My 1080ti's are doin a ~10600Sol/s @ 160Watt, my 580's 9254Sol/s @ unknown.

Yes, that is what we call being unoptimized. The miner's version is not meant for CUDA (aka NVidia GPUs) therefore some Radeon cards easily outperform GeForce series. If optiminer releases a CUDA version you can expect to get at least 15-20k sol for your 1080Ti.
If we assume RX 480 gets 300 Sol/s and 1080Ti getting 750 Sol/s normally, that is 2.5x so 1080Ti should get ~23k Sol/s.
Sadly it's not up to me.
