you don't need cooling, actually cooling is a waste of money past a few units.  I own a HVAC company, trust me I know.  What you need is exchanges of air.  I have 40 miners with 6000 cfm or air being sucked out and 6000 cfm of make up air coming in to a 200 sq foot room.  With filtration etc...  I live in Texas and this summer it was 105 outside and my gpu's never exceeded 70-72 and right now they are at 50.

To put it into perspective, 6000 cfm is enough air for 8000 sq foot of building.

Now if you plan on being in that same room i recommend building a little room inside there and adding a wall unit to cool you hehe.

I meant fans not ac but I was lazy and did not write it out fully.

If this gear is worth while  maybe a trusted usa guy can be a distributor of it.

I am retired and may not want that much work.  but we can just let it unfold starting tomorrow.  gear is in cincinnati

can't wait to see review of this device

this unit may be small enough to fit  6 units on this shelf

I have had as many as six four card rigs on this shelf
that is 24 cards

but 2 per shelf with 1 ibm 2880 or 2980 psu
means 6 units and 48 cards

obvious you need better cooling then my setup

Here's my cooling and rigs also,
If that Panda will work it would be a game changer it most environments

do NOT forget about WARRANTY/Spare parts/Customer support & so on . . .

a normal gpu/mobo/cpu/ram/ssd/psu it's all covered under warranty from your local retailers.

how about this panda ?

resale value ? a regular rig, you can sell them separately or the entire rig, how about this ?

pros & cons but tbh, i'd rather build & customize my own rig.

they have a 30 day warranty which is not much

Once I get a good look at this I have a lot of parts sources .

This may be fully repairable by the consumer.

Like a diy build.

Frankly it looks like a very specific unit that only some people can use.

Measurements are important.

I ordered a high end psu to test it.

evga 1600 g2

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MMLUIE8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?

but I think it can be run with

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ibm-bladecenter-2880w-breakout-1698582

I think the psu above can run 2 of these

psu
miner
miner

all on 1 shelf stacked

which is 16 gpus in a small space

Hi Panda Sales,

Maybe too soon to ask --- when is the 4xGPU version available?

Do we have any option for a better CPU, i5 or i7?

thanks

these are best suited for larger deployment - a 4gpu version would be better as a hobby build that acts as a normal computer and/or has resale value

as for cpu - these are built for the gpu, cpu mining is better suited to other ideas, like a dual-cpu board

Clueless!
Kinda tough. In USA built a 5 card gpu rig 480x 8gb setup with linux for less than 2K and that was this last summer. I'm sure rigs/cards are cheaper now
currently getting like 800sols on zcash I think it is?was? like 130 usd a month I think if I have that right (should probably look again but is soooooo sad) Sad

but what the heck ...we all got to start someplace and it also depends on your location and elec costs..if elec costs cheap enough would maybe be OK
with a pandaminer decision

another month of mining to make same or so....oranges/oranges.....all this alt price stuf is out of everyones hands..it works or it don't at this point

but me (20/20 hindsight) at these prices why I to 2 rigs (that we pop between etherum and zcash on whatever whim...2 rigs each with a buddy)
it is looking like I'm eventually gonna have a couple of kick ass gamer machines/desktops and 8 other cards to move on ebay..I mean 1 rig fine? I
could have justified it with the desktop argument above..but TWO...yep bought into the zcash hype (doh!) ......live and learn

oh well just how it is in the USA at 10c kwh winter rates fyi

anyway just a comparison

You can't so easily compare a normal rig with that build.
They are using MXM Modules with a also customized board you won't get anywhere else.
I would love to see this with Nvidia GTX1080 Mobile :-D

just saying it cost 100 bucks less then the panda miner and has about 25% more hash...so again except the pandaminer is 'cute' what is the attraction
what am I missing? Not a slam..just saying don't see the 'sparkle' to get this unit vs a gpu rig I can build..then when obsolete can use components for other
purposes then a doorstop? So info please on the logic.

Are you ... missing something here? This is an 8 mxm card machine that's doing 1880 sol/s in cash or 237 mh/s in eth. You are comparing it to a 5 card machine you built for 2k that gives you 800 sols/s Huh I built a 7 card setup that gives me 1600 / 200 and cost me ~ $2300 here in India. This definitely works out cheaper, not to mention the ease of getting the entire rig pre-setup.
This is an enclosed cooled stackable low profile rig and it may not be ideal for home use but for someone running a farm this is ideal.

Yeah I figured I missed something 😉

How bad is the noise? Db meter wise?

May look at this more closely....still iffy at alt prices thou but imho

Thanks for the clarification. Be interesting to see philipa1957 review

I see this the same as you do.

I actually may run this in a shed during the summer removing the noise issue.

I am hoping it has the ability to upgrade CPU.
I am also hoping to figure if it can use Nvidia.
I am also hoping that it is multi language capable.

What is the attraction to the rig? It is not for most of us.
I won't be able to run it in the garage as it will be loud.
This  more for a farm  where sound is not an issue.
They have 500 for sale in this batch.
If I like it and keep it I will put it in the solar array.
I may ship it back or sell it here in the market place.
I will do a shit ton of photos.  and watt measurements with the pdu meter and temp measurements with a infra red gun.
lots of screen shots or photos of the gui. also sound meter readings.  maybe post a you tube

I will try to mine zec eth xmr
I will show inside shots.
I will try to see if cpu can upgrade
I will also try to source cards

This rig  is due at my home on dec 30th. I just got a text from dhl.

last look on website  and this seems to be about

2180 plus shipping  so 2300 usd?

I reserved this thread and I will make a machine for my GPU collection.
I want to ask if it is easy to use the same as bitcoin mining machine and it can be used for mining XMR . Thanks.

Exactly my thought, you can replace MXM with other, faster card in the future - at least in theory
