Clueless!
Kinda tough. In USA built a 5 card gpu rig 480x 8gb setup with linux for less than 2K and that was this last summer. I'm sure rigs/cards are cheaper now
currently getting like 800sols on zcash I think it is?was? like 130 usd a month I think if I have that right (should probably look again but is soooooo sad) Sad

but what the heck ...we all got to start someplace and it also depends on your location and elec costs..if elec costs cheap enough would maybe be OK
with a pandaminer decision

another month of mining to make same or so....oranges/oranges.....all this alt price stuf is out of everyones hands..it works or it don't at this point

but me (20/20 hindsight) at these prices why I to 2 rigs (that we pop between etherum and zcash on whatever whim...2 rigs each with a buddy)
it is looking like I'm eventually gonna have a couple of kick ass gamer machines/desktops and 8 other cards to move on ebay..I mean 1 rig fine? I
could have justified it with the desktop argument above..but TWO...yep bought into the zcash hype (doh!) ......live and learn

oh well just how it is in the USA at 10c kwh winter rates fyi

anyway just a comparison

Fail to plan, and you plan to fail.
I received an email with a photo a dhl shipping notice it has the correct address but  dhl number has yet to hit on dhl's website.

I will check the tracking and get back with info when the number shows on dhl's site.

Phil, this discussion may be too early at this point.

If your test does turn out to be satisfactory, do you plan on starting a group buy?

maybe but customs may make it too hard to work out.

And here is a copy of dhl  I will post updates on it

He Phil, once you have tested it, do let us know what the total landed cost of it was to you including customs clearance ad shipping etc.
This would definitely be cheaper than building a similar performing rig in my country (India) ... even with customs factored in.
This has come a long way from the initial scammy vibes that we were getting. I hope they start taking international orders soon.

at the current price, its about the same cost as building a 7-8 gpu rig yourself (which has good resale value)

in exchange for a bit better efficiency/simplicity, you end up with GPUs that are nearly impossible to resell

these units would be good in a cheap power spot that sound is not an issue. They also would be good if the spot is small.

I would love to get one to fully test and demo to see if it has more practical uses.

true, they are more for a mass deployment, rather than hobby mining (where gpu reuse or resale is expected, and assembly time is part of the 'fun')

After seeing the production pics of the unit -- It seems the unit is wider than I was expecting it to be.

On a positive note, I am glad to see someone new to the scene producing something that makes sense for the market today. I hope to see more.

Other thoughts:

It almost looks as if it wouldn't fit on a rack shelf or be rack mountable, looks too wide, especially with the power cords sticking out the sides like that.

A big selling point for me was to be able to place this unit in an enclosed rack on  shelf, due to its size the only way I think that could be done is if I stood it vertically.

Maybe it's just the pictures messing with my perception but it really doesn't look like its an option to lay flat as pictured, plugged in, inside a fully enclosed rack.

It would be nice if there was something like a PCIE 90 elbow to plug into the side and make the power connections vertical.

we have not received the free demo and paid in full before sending it to us.

Just now we got a new delivery

as you have it in hand now...what did it cost in comparison on what you could build a rig for?

I'm assuming if they are more or less the same...this pandaminer is just a way to turn GPU mining into ASIC

mining ....like ASIC's eventually to become 'doorstops' Smiley

Again I'm assuming say the cost is the same if you build or get a panda miner. With alt coin prices not

sure that is a good move now at the prices on such. At least SOME reserve in GPU cards would be available

someday to sell/use....not the same as a panda miner.

Then again if the price is right on these (much less then building your own equiv) they could have a shot

Anyway the first thing I'd do if such arrived on my doorstep...do a build rig price and see where I stand vs the pandaminer on doorstep

I won't even think about buying one of these until Phil gets his and writes a review. I also wonder if these will dual mine ethereum and sia? Does it run on windows?

i got a mail that i should pay the miner, but when you click "PAY" the site is blank...anyone else?

Sorry for any inconvenience , we have fixed the problem, please check it . and if you have made the pre-order, you need to click your orders to complete the full payment.

still not working, and yes i made the pre-order if i click pay to get the 1825$ Remainder it end up in a white blank page.

It should be working now, we are really sorry for this. Can you please try again?

Payment worked now, waiting for shipment.

So you purchased one?  Remember the op promised to send me one that I would demo.  then pay him.  he has yet to honor that promise.

I do not have one nor have I been told when it gets sent to me. So far there seems to be a wrong thing happening here.  Well if you get it good luck.

If I ever get one to demo I will post a fair and honest review.

But I have nothing but empty promises at the moment.

the last email sent was. 12-16-2016

240MHs - it is a rig with MB + 7 GPU

So

MB - 120$
CPU - 50$
RAM - 40$
SSD - 100$
7x rx 480 - 1800$
PSU - 300$
Risers: 50$

Total: 2160 +- 100$

What will be your price for the same 240MHs?

What a specific list, except the material , there are also freight , personal expense  ,development costs and so on. It is nearly what you post. JUST waiting for our news, it won't make you feel frustrated.

And why, pray tell, should we pay for your "freight, personal expense, development costs, and so on" when we can hop in our cars, drive 20 minutes and buy from reputable companies and not bullshit scam artists from China at an inflated cost?

SCAM

Go back to the hole you crawled out of. No one needs or wants this "worlds first gpu miner".  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Lol. Pre oders only?
