1 year too late.

This would be golden last january.

Now ROI is 250+ days at current speed, difficulty and price, right?
Within those 250 it will probably double if things keep evolving like they do.

Well assuming all is good about the miner.  zero quality problems.  works well fast shipping.

the next issues are:

 what coin will work?

what is a good coin?

how easy is changing the software?

this unit may allow for mobile card up grades  and what I like most  is the small size with neat wires.

The problem with this is getting the mobile GPUs, where do you see MXM 480s for sale now, and how much are they? For us it's a bit hard to get, then even harder to resell the cards afterwards.

it comes with the gpus.

Of course, but if you wanted to upgrade in the future, where would you get those from?

Hello PandaMiner,

Will this unit come with its own Windows OS?

Any plans to have a Linux version?

Thanks

when upgrading you would want to sell the old gpus.. how much market is there for used mobile gpus? and what is the price premium for mobile gpus vs a comparable desktop part.

i kind of like it but it seems made mainly for high density datacenter use where its size has an advantage. maybe slightly less power consumption is another plus?

Hi, if you want to sell the old GPU, the price is totally depend on the market. Another plus is 4 GPU, so means less power consumption.

i would assume using AMD mxm , a mobile version , probably every coin algo  that ever existed minus cpu only coins, i would think scrypt, sha256 and x11 would be bearly ok and the rest of the algos would be very good. just from my own experiences with all types of miners

This is most likely true.  And the size is small so it has value.

I've been following the thread and this is actually a relatively cheap unit even with the supplied PSU, it would definitely be good for someone starting out.

The problem with these types of "start-up" mining manufacturing companies is that they basically have no capital. So the only way they can produce these miners at mass quantity is for large amounts of capital, which they don't have.

So its the same story as always. They only accept BTC, and with enough orders they can order parts from suppliers, and then they build the miners which can take months. However like in the past... in 6 months ZEC/ETH might not be profitable at all OR when they finally build these miners in 3 months... they will mine with them for 3 months and ship them 3 months after that ... like it was in the past with many Bitcoin ASICs.

So Philipma might get some demo unit next month but they can't accept any more Paypal payments only Bitcoin and telling when those actually units ships is anybodies guess.

Hi, we already under production, bro , we all know paypal is the way to product buyer, and easy to get account frozen, that why we can not accept paypal payment. BUT now, we  made promise to send
an sample to Philipma, and we will make it.Hope you understand!

I  have been contacted via email and I have been offered a  demo model:

Hi,
Really sorry for what we said, we are just the fresh man of shipping aboard, so we are cautious.
Also, we heard lot of bad things about paypal, quite risky to use it, easy to get account frozen.
We are wondering how to build trusty between us, so we decided to send you miner before you pay, which means
We agree to your request for payment upon arrival of the goods.
Or we send you as a demo, then after the test you send back to us.
We will be responsible for all the freight.
You can choose anyway ,hope you can understand.
 Look forward for your reply.

Best Regards,

PandaMiner Service

I will post all tests here  I may ship it back Or I may buy it if I like it.

So lets hope I get it soon.

This look like it can be used in a data center more then a home setup.
We shall soon (I Hope ) know.

I want to thank PandaMiner for contacting me. I am willing to give a person a break and their email was nice.
As I said I see a purpose for this gear.

Which model do u required from PandaMiner?

I think its a good idea over all. If Pandaminer can design their miner with an easy upgrade option for future gpus fans ect ect and even have different models for maybe if i dare to say vr gaming or even HPC servers version of it for fast connects or even hot swappable back ups..  its an excellent product

and anyway i had a few girdseed from all different companies and colors!! and I always liked the one with the red color heatsink..   Cheesy

As I said I am done with this thread.  I am not getting one with paypal and I no longer have any interest in promoting this gear.

As claymore kept developing his zec miner this gear looks more and more obsolete. I also suspect it will be loud and whiny due to smaller fans.

It would have been nice to demo and promote but I think they went in on a shoestring and hoped for funding.  I wish them success with it,but I moved on.

Hi, really sorry for this, we will send you a miner at the end of December, and you can pay us until you received the miner .
Hope you can prove that we are trusty but not just for funding. More detaile we will send you email. please check it .

This system pretty much defeats the point of GPU mining, because the have taken a generic GPU that can be used for anything, and pretty much turned it into an "ASIC" type design. I am actually working on a very similar system, but instead of using proprietary GPU cards that can be resold or used in any other system, it will just use off the shelf consumer GPUs.

Yes, it's completely retarded. GPU mining takes the power away from Chinese ASIC shovel providers and gives it back to everyday home miners. Why anyone would want this instead of building their own systems is beyond my comprehension.
