 not so easy,
almost nothing is said about the use of third-party ((not work sgminer not work cgminer) miners not Claymor
and not in what the interface does not show the temperature of chip cards

looks like 8GB 480s x 8 ... if this is true than I think this system is quite a powerful machine for mining and also general GPU projects.

citronick - here is review. On Russian - but screenshots are self-explanatory

This looks interesting. Can the machine be used for general graphics purposes as well or can it only work for mining? It has a lot of GPU power so maybe it can be used for rendering etc as well. How many GB per card? 4?
Yes, it can be sued for general graphics purpose as well, and apply for most altcoins, 4G for each CARD.

8GB ?

bigger memory is better for memory intensive algos like ZEC and XMR.

I hope final product is 8GB and not 4GB

how about future upgradeability? can replace the 480M in Future?

chickens and cryptos
thats nice, i work in the server market and Ive maintained routers, point of sales and media with the "new" invasion of Chinese replacement. I admit they were alot smaller..  using special brackets to fit in a giant 1u space. Its made to operate like a laptop/desktop with win 10 with your favorite apps but with the power of a 4u setup. I dont think there's any real competition yet because due to it smaller size..   but for how long ...

I think this falls into the same category as an ANTMINER or ASICs in general, you won't be able to upgrade the unit so will have to sell it.
Just like what we said, our miners support mining of multiple altcoins, if no profit foe the current coin, you can change another one.

Definitely NOT a home miner, given the fans pictured.

The Delta AFB0612EH is a 6cm 6800 rpm fan that is the highest-flow 60mm fan ever made to my knowlage (just shy of 40cfm).
Back in the Athlon Thunderbird/Palomino and Pentium III days, it was fairly widely used on high-performance CPU heat sinks, and got nicknamed "the screamer" due to it's fairly loud HIGH PITCHED noise level.

I've got 2 of these twist-tied to 2 of my HIS HD 7750s that had their original fans die - they flow lots of air, keep the cards MUCH cooler than the stock fans ever did, and I DO NOT have them on the same end of my home as the room I sleep in, as they are LOUDER than the AFB 12cm fans in my Innosiicon A2 units, and are close to as loud or possibly a hair louder than the Delta 12cm QFB-series fans that were stock in my Antminer S5s (same fan as in the S7 and S9 AFAIK).

Given the airflow and the large passive-type HS on the GPU modules, I suspect they do a good job of cooling the GPUs.
 Quiet they do NOT do.

Given the stated "Windows 10 as the OS" it shouldn't be hard to "upgrade the firmware" to support other usages of this unit once ETH is no longer mineable and when ZEC becomes unprofitable.

HI, the fan we use is 6*6cm 6800 rpm, quite excellent on heater sinks.
windows 10 running now, and it is easy to upgrade the firmware, and if one coin no profit, you can change another one.

1 year too late.

This would be golden last january.

Now ROI is 250+ days at current speed, difficulty and price, right?
Within those 250 it will probably double if things keep evolving like they do.

Well assuming all is good about the miner.  zero quality problems.  works well fast shipping.

the next issues are:

 what coin will work?

what is a good coin?

how easy is changing the software?

this unit may allow for mobile card up grades  and what I like most  is the small size with neat wires.

The problem with this is getting the mobile GPUs, where do you see MXM 480s for sale now, and how much are they? For us it's a bit hard to get, then even harder to resell the cards afterwards.

Quite precise  for 250 days. We are using RX480, our miners support mining of multiple altcoins, so you just need to find the good coin, if ETH no profit, then you can change to another coin. Never to worry about resell problem.

Hello PandaMiner,

Will this unit come with its own Windows OS?

Any plans to have a Linux version?

Thanks

It comes with it's own windows 10 system.
YES, we are planing to do this in long term.

yes, definitely...  a data-centre bound miner this, a dozen of these rack mounted will easily form a compact approach to building professional GPU farms. Very tempting this...

I will post all tests here  I may ship it back Or I may buy it if I like it.

So lets hope I get it soon.

This look like it can be used in a data center more then a home setup.
We shall soon (I Hope ) know.

I want to thank PandaMiner for contacting me. I am willing to give a person a break and their email was nice.
As I said I see a purpose for this gear.

Curious to see the result. And also if we could upgrade the firmware to change algo. This could be nice.

When ETH will become obsolete you will be able to run some other gpu algo on it.
