Your loss is nothing compared to what I did lost, and my loss hurts me much more because I don't have so much funds for investing, I never invested more than couple hundreds, I'm on the edge of being handicapped due to chronic, untreated illness (meaning I can't work, I can't even use a computer - lost x5 your loss because of that) and my mental health is in very bad condition.
OK, I held my coins much longer, but not long enough. I entered crypto at the end of 2013, in 2014 things were much, much faster, coins could go 10x, 50x in matter of weeks, so I didn't think holding my coins for years is good idea and I sold big percentage of them during pumps, just to find out few months/ year later that they were pumped even more. And don't forget BTC rise in 2017, anyone who sold before that lost a lot of potential profit.

Sheez be happy with your small gain and move on....to sit there and think that you actually lost that money is pretty novice..yet by your name it says "Yes I am Pro"  Huh Roll Eyes

OP probably can and will move on, but not everyone can do this, I invested in 3 coins few years ago saying these are my last crypto investements, one coin died, another one I lost because of personal problems/ health issues/ theft (all of these played a role) and third one I sold too early losing life changing profits.

If everyone made a post like this when this same situation happened to them this forum would be literally flooded...

But there are a lot of stories about too long waiting and patience, especially after January huge rising and there sudden falling.
The best way is to divide your investment and fix after small growth 50%,and then for example 30% , etc. Better not to lose, than to earn less

Hmm lots of people lost so much money due to panicking, even myself I lost about $30k because i sold early, could have just held and made some good profit, however, learned from my mistakes, now i usually hold long term.

It's just awful, but it's very difficult to predict. I think that you need to learn technical analysis of coins in order to make more precise decisions.

Wow, thank you for the story. I think patience can be useful key for the new ICO tokens, but you need to watch after old coins you are holding in your wallet, sometimes it is better to cash out.

I myself also lost a lot of money selling stellar, tron, ripple and verge too soon, but patience and hodling can be tricky in current market conditions. Hodling legit projects is usually worth it, but choose projects to hodl very carefully. Market is evolving rapidly and good projects get replaced with even better ones.

I too have experienced the same failure with you. Losing an awful lot of capital, only because I panic sell. However, after that I learned from the experience and not repeat the same mistakes. So for those of you who have never been, I recommend to stay patient. Don't be fooled by the circumstances.

Cryptos are not for rash decisions or impatient investing. You watch, you study, you learn and you hold. Past few months have been a free fall due to various outlying and inherent factors, and we need to wait for it to find its footing.

we can learn something from this which is being patient is really needed in trading especially if we are holding good coins because good coins do not always increase in the short-time. so we need to wait for a while and even we need to wait for a long time before the price is increased. besides that, we need to prevent panic so we can think, analyze, and make a decision in the market.

I think lost when you put your money and didn't get it back. And this is just you earn less. Down be so greedy, because of this quality everyone at begging loosing. Calm down and relax. Keep your brain fresh and money coming to you

I don't think this is a loss, you only took profit when you did. What if you had waited 3 days only for the price to plummet? But one that I have learnt is that good coins will always win.

In such an unpredictable business as crypto investment, any, even a very small profit is already a good result. Especially if you received it within a few hours. It is necessary to rejoice if you did not receive losses.

Since already happened so you need to be patient more or wait for you to be able to proved  more because you already gamble your money so still the key word here is be patient.

To the OP, i think you still gained when you sold them at a higher price. But you obviously did not maximize your potential gain when you sold them in a short span of time. What's important in your story is that you realized your mistakes and hopefully you will learn something out of it. Don't worry there will be lot of this coin and this time add a little patience when you find and invest in this new coin and see where this could less you. Good luck.

You don't lose when you sell at a higher price. Profit is profit, no matter how much. I would use the term "missed chance". Howbeit, the main thing to learn from this.

It is true that only patience can make you to wait and have your profit. I have also learn my lessons from several experiences. There were some tokens i sold at the wrong time, just because i felt they would dip again. Could you believe that most of those tokens never fell to the price i sold them.

Yes, patience is the key to succeed in crypto market. The crypto market is highly volatile so the ups and downs in the values of cryptos are natural. But people nowadays are completely out patience. They panic so quickly on seeing their investments falling. They just don’t realize that by panic selling they are actually contributing to the dump and making the conditions worse than before.

Yes it is possible and happened due to FUD. Just ignore it .Be practical and more calculative rather than being speculative. Hold your patience on time. Time reflects the best part of life. So time will say you what to do. You just need to wait and analyze to take the best decision at right time.
