What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?
simple if somebody will make a big dump in the market, i should buy some more as much as i can for hold it till the price rise.

Yes that is the right thing to do, and now price has stuck at a single point since long time, so I don't think price will rise sharply in next coming days.

Just be patient when it come to Bitcoin because if you are not patient then you are just going to panic sell and if that happens there is a chance that you will miss out on some money.
I suggest that you be patient and always keep check of the price at all times.

I think people have started to sell their coins and that is the reason price is not moving up now, and if it continues then we cannot expect higher price at halving.

This is a pretty weird question off Bitcoin market act like all other markets if people dump  off its going to affect the market. Like dumping affect all other markets in the universe
People are crazy to dump more money into bitcoin than gold. Millions of Chinese are quietly dumping there gold and replacing it with Bitcoin.

I don't think so. The Chinese are the miners. They have to sell the bitcoin to cover the mining cost. The westerners are the accumulators.

Dont panic selling.Just dont sell your bitcoins now. Bitcoin current rate for now is 721$ but i feel that bitcoin will hit 1100$ after halving. so its better to save now, and its never too late to buy. Smiley

Obviously sell pressure for the short term profit takers makes the price go down but we saw this at the $700 2 days ago and now look how high we went again. A massive dump doesn't matter anymore because the mining supply will be cut down huge.

At the currrent rate of rise, we might see $800 in the next few weeks. Who is behind the recent buying?

If you bought in at $400 and it reaches $800, thats a 100% return of profit to get skin in the game for free basically.

If it ever falls back to the average price points assuming if the price right now doesnt stay hold. Which in the past we seen time again lol.

From an economic point of view 100% return is possible only with a currency like bitcoin(no banks can even come close to 20% let alone 100%). So based on this a good economist would sell his bitcoins making 100% profit while waiting for the dump to occur, it doesn't matter when it will occur, he will have his money ready to buy the coins when the dump occur this way also maybe tripling the coins he had before selling. This bitcoin game is quite unpredictable and the end result if you play smart can make you a rich person in some non developed third world countries.

Anyone that owns that amount of Bitcoin is not stupid enough to just panic sell all of their money away. They are smart people, that's why they invested in Bitcoin.

Yes that's right everyone has invested into Bitcoin that's why we are here on the Bitcointalk forum discussing the price rise and all, but are we experienced traders though? I don't think anyone is smart enough to predict where the Bitcoin price is going nowadays unless you have an insight info and are a part of the big ballers club where whales have enough cash to actually affect the market movements. I don't know when the price will stop rising and start falling because I am not a fortune teller and Bitcoin right now is just that - a gamble.

Yes it will result for a huge decrease for the price now but i think bitcoin will recover fast because many users will take advantage of it to buy bitcoins again on a low or cheap price.

It will only take someone to dump all the coins that are kept in Satoshi's wallets. For all we know he has more than a million coins. So, if he dumps at least half the price of bitcoin will be down to the slums followed by a lot of panic sellers who will push the price down even further.

people just suppose satoshi has close to a million coins. this has never been proved. beside that, if a dump of even 100,000 coins happen at one exchange, the price will fall below $50 instantly. maybe even lower as stop loss orders will add another wave of coins getting sold after each other. with that many coins you can cause a lot damage to the market.
It is bad if you are in panic now and you have just choose and look for the right moment to sell it and that is really important otherwise you are making some mistakes.
But maybe the sell moment will be indeed soon because the value of Bitcoin is becoming higher and that is perfect.

right now is already a fantastic price to sell at for people that bought their coins around $400-$450 not long ago. it's just important that you secure your profits before the price goes down again. but the main point is that we don't know when the price will start to come down. i always say 'better safe than sorry'. that's why i secured some profits at these prices.

Yes it affects the price of Bitcoin when many people are selling their coins: the price is going down, but when it is low enough for many people to think they shoud start buying we can see the reverse effect.

this happens all the time. newbie traders see a topic here or some place else or feel the price is going down because they see a mini dump and they panic and start selling, and these sales created a chain reaction that pushed the price down.

but you are forgetting the other half of the market. when there is supply there is also demand. you can't just consider one without the other. and this demand is what doesn't let the price go down.

do you even know how many people are waiting, dreaming, praying to their gods to see a price that is $20 lower so they can buy because they missed the rise?

I guess it is more about $200 lower, or just $200 per coin
