Selling will be now not the best thing that you can do and that is because the value of Bitcoin was stable for a long time and you can already see now that the value is rising.
And it is really nice if the value is rising because we already waited a long time until we can have some profit.

If that thing will happen and if someone would do it,that will affect bitcoins price, supply and demand. If such a person would sell a small amount of coinsni think that would not totally change the demands of bitcoin except if some rich person go sell about 10,000-20,000 coins that would affect the whole market price of bitcoin and lower buy orders. But chinese can just easily come it up again tl its average price

What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?

To dump the price it is needed lots of power of people to sell their bitcoins. Only few of the biggest bitcoin traders can dump the price but i dont think they will do it. If satoshi sells his bitcoins then we should worry about the price. For now i don't think anyone wants to dump the price before the halving, instead i think it will be a panic buying before the halving.

If someone sell a huge price of bitcoin, bitcoin price would crash the market will probably falls, And bitcoin user will panic until they sell their bitcoins
Something catastrophic would have to happen first before panic selling starts. But as they say in stock, buy when there's blood on the streets. In cases when there are no good reasons to sell, it is usually the pump and dump scheme done by owners who have enough holdings to influence price movement.

I can say theirs possibilities that it will be happen since some of bitcoin users buy their stake bitcoin for lowest price and if halving occur well people really do massive selling since they earned already big amount of it,  and maybe it will happen soon and it can affect the price of bitcoin maybe it can repeat history like for past 2013 when bitcoins reach to 1k$ and followed by massive dump and go down to 200$ what a big difference for the price hope it will not happen.

When enough people do this, the price will go down, but this is temporary.

If someone has huge amounts of btc, selling all of them at once is a wrong decision.

The price will decrease and he will lose potential profits.

It`s better to sell parts of that huge amount every day and not all at once.

My christmas wish is hoping Amazon accepts bitcoins soon. Surely the price will go up.

Totally, If a huge bag holders sell their big amounts of BTC the BTC market will fall down, and the price will also decreased, and if the traders see those decreased in price they will also sell which in total will lower the price of BTC for a great amount.

And as what you can see right now BTC price is soaring because of the chain effect that if a buyer bought a BTC then some trader would saw it and buy also taking into account that they are also thinking that the price will be doubled when halving happened, so if someone saw that halving doesn't have that doubling effect in price some big traders will sell their BTC then it will have a chain effect that some people will sell to bringing BTC price down to normal.

You wont be seeing any type of panic sales until we reach a higher considerable #.

Watch within the days to come when it hits around $700 zone and you`ll see a sell off before the $1k marker.

The value of btc will drop if this happens like a regular stock market crash
Well yeah.  This is what happens any time you bring buyers and sellers together in a liquid market.  Having said that, I'm no finance expert but I have watched the stock market for years and bitcoin resembles it in a lot of ways.  Corrections and spikes and so forth.

I agree because bitcoins price is unstable and if price is high enough and those who stock their bitcoin for long wait for this halving well sell their all coins it can be followed by panic selling because they earn profit since halving occurs, maybe as u can see now price is spiking that maybe due to many people are buying bitcoins for now and surely it will follow by a big crash if the price of bitcoin well reach to 1000$-3000$ just what like happen for the past 2013.

I recall a 30,000 coin dump in one go on Bitstamp. It certainly put a dent in things but rebounded quickly. There's a lot more dollars than coins out there.
Yeah i remember that too, can't remember what the markets did afterwards though.

I think there is probably more panic buying than selling going on at the moment.

It's not right time to sell bitcoins, only if you scared that price will drop when halving comes, but i don't really believe that could happen. Better to hold right now.

I'm sure this is the plan for many people. It has happened many times before with other rallies in the past and will happen many more times in the future with subsequent rallies. Dumpers dump, the price plummets, people buy, including the ones who originally dumped and the price goes back up.

I don't think 1 whale player can make a huge dump, but if many whale player do this together, it will affect on bitcoin and the price of bitcoin but i think they will not do it for now.

Obviously it's also going to depend on how buoyant the market is feeling in general. If things are gloomy then it might put a dampener on things for a while. If it's bursting with confidence then a dump would be gobbled up without blinking.
